Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Silao Guanajuato Airport

Clean room with plenty of space, shower got hot in a short time.

The website we checked before booking indicated the hotel had a free airport shuttle. We had to take a taxi (no shuttle) to the airport about five minutes from the hotel, the driver wanted 450 pesos, which we refused to pay. The hotel needs a shuttle!

No view facing the window, only a big wall facing even if I was on the 8th floor (room 815). Disappointing when you chose a hotel oustide the city center to have more space. This room should be seriously discounted

The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Really enjoyed the bar in the lobby. It was comfortable with a good selection. The bottle water provided was greatly appreciated. The security features in the hotel were incredible. I rarely see elevators that require the room key to get to the floor. The Wi-Fi connection in the room was very good. I didn’t always have a full signal but I was able to do everything that I needed to do without a problem.

The options for breakfast were not my favorite. The desk chair in the bedroom was not very comfortable. Well, having a giant TV was great. The location with the desk made it really difficult to work with something on in the background. The blanket on the bed was extremely hot. Tried to compensate by turning the air up a little and removing the blanket sum but that just made me cold. Wish there was a thinner blanket.

Room was clean

I have prepaid the room via booking.com but the hotel charged also my credit card directly. When I contacted the hotel via email, they confirmed within one day a mistake and promised to refund the double payment. Although I have provided all required information for the refund, the hotel is unfortunately not replying on any emails since 2 weeks any more and the phone is also not picked up.I am very disappointed and I now have to consider to hand over this case to a lawyer.

Oh my, the staff at Fairfield by Marriott saved our bacon. Our flight was cancelled twice, so we ended up back at the Fairfield two nights in a row. But, not to fear. Beatriz (reception) and Alex (bartender) took us in like wounded birds. Luggage whisked away, drinks mixed (he makes an excellent G&T), snacks provided without being asked, breakfast to order. Enrique, the manager, helped arrange new boarding passes, even delivering them while we were next door at the restaurant. Beatriz managed to get us a van to a new airport. By the time we finally left, we felt like we were leaving family.

Convenient location

Front desk lady at time of check in was rude and made us unwelcome, she never made eye contact with us!

The breakfast was good and prepared on request in the morning. It would be nice if it started a little earlier than 6:30.

The drain in the shower was slow. So I cut my showers a little shorter than I would have normally. The exercise facility was nice. It was clean, neat and useful.

I think the breakfast was pretty good. Location was very convenient for our team
