Hotel Grand Maria

The hotel is a charming building in a convenient setting. The staff were all very helpful.

The bed was so hard I had a hard time sleeping and the rooms are built around a courtyard so when you have noisy guests the sound really travels up.

Great location, beautiful hotel, very nice staff, nice breakfast.The free clean water dispenser is a very nice and important touch.

Beds are not very comfortable.We had 2 rooms on the ground floor that faced the inner yard and windows only in that direction. That meant: 1. No option to open the windows without everyone looking into the room2. Very noisy, we could hear everyone walking out taking in the yard. 3. All day long there is music playing from speakers in the yard. The soap in the bathroom is lowest level possible.

Beautiful hotel with excellent location, close to nice restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was simple but good, very comfortable beds.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The location is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was very convenient to have an attached restaurant. The decor was very nice. It was a good value for the money.

They really need to upgrade the mattresses. They are not at all comfortable!

Location was excellent, within walking distance from all the wonderful views and places in the city and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

The bathroom.

The location is perfect, with everything on walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and the small plaza is a very nice place to sit for a drink or a game. As there are very few parking spots available in the narrow streets, if you come by car it is big plus that the hotel has some own parking.

This property was gorgeous - the courtyard was stunning and everything was well kept. The staff are EXCEPTIONAL. They helped with all of our needs during our stay. The beds were super comfy and the bathrooms were spotless.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in Mexico during our 2 week stay. The hotel is located very close to the city center, less than 10 minutes walking distance. The rooms were very clean and had all necessary amenities. The staff were very accommodating and professional.

The room was noisy early in the morning(s) from what appeared to be other guest leaving and/or staff.There was constant music on in the restaurant and courtyard which was a bit annoying to us.

Everything was great from start to finish. Great facilities and staff, nice complementary breakfast and the location was perfect. Made the reservation for my mom and aunt and they were more than satisfied with the place. Would definitely come back. Thank you!

The hotel is beautiful and the room comfortable.

On our first morning we went to their restaurant and no one of their staff welcomed us. We wait like 15 minutes standing up waiting to be attended. There were tables empty and the clients were all European. We felt discriminated. The staff in the front desk were not friendly. I will never go back to the hotel.

Great courtyard, great staff, spotlessly clean and nicely appointed rooms.

There were two main points I’ll pass along to fellow travellers. We travelled in February and found the rooms to be incredibly cold. There are no heaters in the rooms and when the nighttime temps drop so low the tile floors truly feel like ice. There are no complimentary slippers so one must either bring their own or suffer very cold feet during the dreaded nighttime and early morning walk to the bathroom. The rooms were so cold in the evenings we’d sit up in bed with our puffy jackets on, and we’re Canadians. The second point I wish the hotel management would address is the loudness of the music being played when the owner leaves. Mornings it’s genial and appropriate, then around 1pm it switches to disco pop with auto-tuned vocals and the volume increases exponentially. With room doors tightly shut the thump of the electronic beat still clearly reaches into the room and soon becomes very annoying.

We are a family of 5, the room had a King size room and another 2 Queen size beds room connected by a small living room. It was perfect!

It's a shame really, that such a nice hotel can be ruined by small details. It's well located, reasonably priced, with lovely, picturesque, Instagram like decorations, inside and outside the room (lovely patio and hallways). It reminded me of the Riads in Morocco. Very good breakfast and very nice staff.But... When it comes to comfort, see the cons below.All in all, I don't think I would stay here again.Sorry

Great location, nice rooms and nice people. The hotel, and especially the owner, was super nice and welcoming.

Our room didn't have any heating and it was 6 degrees celsius (40s F) outside. Insane!We asked to cancel to move to another hotel as our kids were freezing but the owner refused to pay us back.He offered us little heaters which made it nicer in the room. Still, wasn't great.

maybe a coffee maker ( but that's just me) coffee was available at 6am(they would bring it up); the bed needed a fitted sheet on the mattress; the mattress pad didn't stay put!
