No coffe machine in the room

The staff was very kind & the rooms were clean.

Our only complaint was housekeeping arrived late in the afternoon to clean our room. It was a minor inconvenience, as this was the time we were headed back to the room to get ready for the evening.

Cleanliness, size and comfort of room, landscaping of hotel interior, being able to access excellent food via hotel restaurant room service.

Hotel is very centrally located, building is gorgeous, comfortable, well lit, spacious and more importantly, quiet and serene. No wonder the WiFi network is CALM.

Only hiccup is about pillows. Bed isn’t extremely comfortable, it is actually juts average and doesn’t match the context, and pillows are cluttered -old- not firm enough, just not nice. All of them. I visit San Cristobal often and I have stayed in several hotels, most of them fail to address correctly the issue of wonderful beds, lining and pillows. Incorrectly thought this one would be different.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The location was excellent. Housekeeping was very good. Wifi worked well. The size of the room was great with a very nice bathroom. Beds we were extremely comfortable.

We didn't have a view and the room was very stuffy. It was not possible for us to manage the climate in the room, other than to open windows and doors. And that still did not help with air flow. We often got fumes from the kitchen.

Location is perfect. Staffs are always helpful.

Some smell of sewage comes up in the bathroom during night, this made me sick every morning.

Loved the huge room and its facilities. The bar and restaurant were excellent and really enjoyed a late night drink sitting round the fire pit. The location was perfect - just minutes from the main square and all the staff were professional and friendly. One of the staff was particularly helpful when we were not picked up for a tour we had booked, she rang our contact and explained in Spanish and we were picked up later on.

The room is very comfortable, hot water all the time, location is super, staff were very nice. Has al the facilities a hotel should have. Great value for money.

Everything great

The location was great, very clean room, just like the pictures. They also offered us an alcoholic welcoming drink which was a nice touch.

Kristel was great, however she was the only English speaking receptionist, so we found it quite difficult to communicate with the other members of staff.

The water must have being contaminated, they should have bottle water in the bathroom to used nested of the tab water to wash the mouth. we where ver sick

Everything! I have traveled a lot in MX and this Hotel was extra special! The staff , rooms , restaurant and location was fantastic! Fell in love with San Cristobal de las Casas ! This is definitely the place to stay if you make a visit ! Didn’t have time to visit the Spa , next time ! Patricia

A beautiful and special hotel, excellent location, caring staff, breakfast in a restaurant facing the street, special, very beautiful, delicious with personal attention. it was fun!

The location is good. Rooms are big and comfortable. Most of the stuff members are welcoming and friendly.

There are some minor maintenance issues.We’ve used the service of the hotel front desk to book a taxi to take us to the airport. That was at around 8 pm. As we were about to leave at 3 am the following morning, we’ve been told that the main road to the airport is partly blocked. (We could have been informed about that much earlier). The driver requested for extra payment due to the necessity to use an alternative road. This situation forced us to negotiate the price with the driver under pressure while the front desk clerk (named Albert) who couldn’t speak English, kept on laughing as if it was funny. Eventually we had to agree on extra payment and left the hotel. This experience left a bitter taste of our stay in the property.

The room was wonderful, with a great marriage of modern design and tradition, creating an atmosphere that made the journey worth while. When I set foot in the hotel I felt comfortable and relaxed, exactly what I needed, and it got better and better. Lovely room, great bathroom, just exquisite.The lobby was inviting and luxurious, the staff was excellent.

the room and location

no one speaks English. contrary to what was written as the price of breakfast, we were charged much more and received poor service at breakfast.

The hotel is very well located in the town.Facility staff was very professional during our stay.Lobby is very beautiful with a good atmosphere.We also appreciated the quality of the service provided during the breakfast.

We did not like so much the design of the bedroom. Quite old and would need some renovation in comparison to the lobby, reception or restaurant.However, bathroom is quite good!

The hotel location is perfect. The restaurant in the hotel is very nice too. The room is spacious and also has a balcony with green foliage. The furniture in the room is new, clean and well maintained. The rooms are well lit and there is enough lighting and air conditioning. Bathroom and shower is also very spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff are very courteous, give good advice, and help make fantastic arrangements for excursions and travels around town. Their suggestions for local shopping of fabrics, coffee, meals, etc were spot on!

The room is not cheap! For the price we paid, we would have expected, at minimum, a kettle to boil water, to make tea or coffee, or some facilities like a mini-bar so that we dont have to rely on room service all the time. However, there is no such facility in the room at all.

breakfast had limited selection and charged us extra for asking milk for cereals :) prices for tours and taxis via the hotel were 1.5-3x more expensive than elsewhere.Overall - not so great value for the price
