Pros +
- One of the most beautiful places to stay. Cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated with local art. We stayed in the suite which really felt like a home away from home. Well appointed, clean and thoughtful facilities and good breakfast options. The best part of the stay was the exceptional staff, they were kind, attentive and very helpful. Angel and his partners took great care of us and helped us plan our day trips, gave great recommendations for places to see and eat at. Highly recommend this wonderful hotel.
- Excellent wi-fi, has table with chairs serves well as work area too. Surprised by kitchette and sitting area a nice extra. Gives more home like feeling. On last day of our stay met different staff at front desk and she was great in giving advise about the places to see and related tours. Would've liked that initiative some days earlier closer to arrival to help plan our things to do.
- Our suite was so cute, comfortable, and clean. The staff here are very helpful, and always made sure we had everything we needed. They helped us schedule a taxi to back to the airport, and gave us lots of good restaurant recommendations. They kept our rooms very clean every day.
Cons -
- If I were to find the only negative, it would be that the hotel’s restaurant only serves breakfast but for all other meals we had to find one to go to a few blocks away. Even though there are so many good restaurants in San Cristobal it would have been convenient to have an in house restaurant, especially on the rainy nights
- Breakfast was minimal and just okay. No coffee refills. Should make more use of sitting area with fireplace, think it was reserved only for restaurant patrons...and seems closed in evening. Would be nice place to come down for complimentary coffee, tea and read a book or just lounge.
- My side of the bed felt a little tilted… weird. But bed linens were comfortable.

Beautiful rooms! I wasn’t expecting to also have a small kitchenette, small living Roma with beautiful working chimney. View to the garden. And a small dinning area.
My side of the bed felt a little tilted… weird. But bed linens were comfortable.
The staff was friendly and professional. The room was quiet, comfortable and very clean. Actually, everything was clean. All the space in the hotel is beautifully designed, and they found inspiration in the local Mayan culture. We plan to return to this city and to this hotel.
With all due respect, the breakfast should be improved, as it was really basic. We ordered the additional dishes during the breakfast.
Beautifully restored, well kept and super clean. It was quiet, around 10min walk to the centre. The room had a view on the patio at the back, a fireplace, small kitchen for tea/coffee in the morning. Extra big bed, comfortable and nice pillows. Good hot water pressure. They left some wood to light up the fireplace (if you need more, you can purchase more wood at reception). They checked us in early for a small fee.
The breakfast included was just coffee and a small plate of fruit. But we knew about this from previous reviews so it wasn't a surprise.
The bed was really comfortable and the WI-FI really good.
After showering there was some water that went over from the shower to the toilet floor.
We really liked this large flat in the hotel. It is nicely decorated and well equipped. The bedrooms are comfortable and the area relatively quiet but at a walking distance from the centre. The carpark is convenient.
nice hotel, beautifully decorated, cozy and very friendly staff.
had to go
The staff was extremely friendly and the hotel was located perfectly on a mountain and the suite was to the backside of the hotel so not directly on the road which made it super quiet at night. The included breakfast is great too.
Nothing, everything was perfect
An amazing oasis. Staff was wonderful. Helped in every way. The Junior Suite was wonderful. Location was great easily walked or took a cab to all the sites. Perfect.
Nada, there was nothing
We stayed 7 nights in this beautifully decorated boutique hotel.Front desk is 24h . All staff was extremely nice and helpful in any requests, including trips arrangements. Breakfast was light with bread toast, coffee and fruits plate, but free and enough to start the day. Beds with extremely comfortable mattresses and gorgeous duck feater filled comforter. Water and coffee maker.TV had tens of cable channels on Spanish and English. Very close to center pedestrian streets with tens of restaurants, Cafe shops.Highly recommend with the best value in whole México. Thank you so much!
The beds were very comfortable. I loved having a fireplace to keep the chill off. They gave you 4 pieces of wood and you had to pay for more, which we did most nights. They also provided heaters which were necessary too. The gardens were lovely. We enjoyed having a dining table to sit at for meals and to play games. We stayed 6 nights and enjoyed walking the neighborhood and exploring different routes to town.
It would have been nice to have kitchen towels and dish soap. There were 3 of us staying with a set of 4 for dishes. Since we ate in a meal a day and made coffee in the mornings and tea in the afternoon, we usually needed to wash some dishes, so I bought a dish towel and soap. They did do our dishes once a day. It is 4 blocks to town so if you can't walk, you'll need to take a taxi to get to restaurants and shopping. The breakfast they provided was a piece of toast and thin slices of fruit. If you wanted more, you had to pay for it. We bought things at the market and did our own breakfast of grilled cheese, fruit and yogurt.
The location is perfect! It’s close to the main square and walking streets but far enough away for it to be quiet at night. Just down the street is a delicious bakery and many other good places to eat just a 7 minute walk away. Around the corner are both the jade and chocolate museums which are very interesting and our stay included complementary tickets for both. We also caught a collectivo to Arcotete just 2 blocks from the hotel. Overall super convenient! The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace made it cozy. The garden is very pleasant. We had breakfast included - you get to choose from a small selection of dishes including a sandwich, pancakes, chilaquiles, or scrambled eggs with either vegetables or chorizo. The food was simple but good, and a very convenient way to start the day - we would go have breakfast first thing and discuss plans for the day over our coffee. The woman who was at the front desk each of the mornings we stayed was especially kind and helpful. No problems with wifi.
We knew this when we booked - there is a turkey farm next door and they wake up early. We just used ear plugs at night and it didn’t bother us, but it would have surprised us if we hadn’t read about it ahead of time. It didn’t diminish our stay, but something people should know if they are sensitive to early morning turkey alarms.
It was a magic place since you enter the property it smells delicious! Our room had a chimney that kept the night warm and cozy.
Not all the food was available.
Cosy place and good location
Breakfast just toasts. Eggs and fruits cause additional costs.
Villas Casa Morada was a charming oasis in San Cristobal! Our Junior Suite was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The private patio was a highlight, perfect for enjoying morning coffee or evening drinks. A true gem!
Sadly, in the first night we did not have any warm water.
We loved this hotel! It was beautiful. Our room was stunning with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden - the facilities were great and the location was perfect. It was a little out of town - about a five minute walk to the zocalo, but that made it very quiet. The people at the hotel were also great - very friendly and helpful. It was perfect.
Everything! Lovely quiet.hotel with wonderful facilities, food and staff.Excellent location. 10 minutes walking to downtown.
the hotel is conveniently located close to the city center
the rooms were extremely cold when we stayed at the hotel. Very basic amenities
