    Pros +

    • The location and view
    • Ocean View and the abundance of whales
    • the friendly attentive staff and spa

    Cons -

    • Rooms are old and bed sheets had stains
    • Located in an ideal location but not for older people due to being located on a cliff. Requiring anyone with walking abilities to use the shuttle system available.
    • Definitely the worst resort we’ve stayed in, especially in Cabo. It started off bad we had to wait 4 hours to check in, they then gave us a room that was already in use, we then had to go back to the lobby to get a different room key. Our room didn’t have warm water to shower with, the alarm in our pod kept going off 2/3x a day. The blow dryer didn’t work, the washer & dryer, ice machine in the facility didn’t work. We thought we’d give it a try regardless of the bad reviews but it definitely lived up to the bad reviews, the staff even said they constantly get so many complaints but there’s nothing they can really do.

The best part of this hotel is the staff & the view.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. I accidentally left my brand-new Apple laptop behind and immediately contacted the hotel—calling and messaging at least six times each. Not once did I receive a response. I was given inconsistent information when I did manage to speak to someone, was placed on hold repeatedly, hung up on, and at times no one even answered. The Find My app showed that my laptop was still on the property. When I flew back to Cabo and went to the hotel in person, staff confirmed the laptop’s location matched the property, but simply shrugged and told me it wasn’t their problem. No effort was made to help or investigate further. The service was indifferent at best and outright rude at worst. A security guard even pretended not to understand me despite my fluent Spanish, and snapped back in English instead, with a disrespectful and dismissive attitude. This hotel is overrated, with poor service and zero accountability. I would not recommend staying here.

    Was not what I imagined.

The views and the beach were great. The staff was incredible and from the outside the resort looks wonderful and well kept.

The rooms are well beyond there useful years for a fairly expensive resort. There are chipped tiles, the outlets are so worn they won’t hold an iPod charging block and the jacuzzi tub and mini fridge looked bad. But by far the biggest issue was the door separating our unit from the adjoining unit. You could see light all around the door and with the 1/2” gap on the bottom you could hear everything that was said and done in that unit like there wasn’t a wall at all. We now have intricate knowledge of our neighbors sex life and what songs she likes to sing. Had they not left our second day we would have requested another room. That first night was miserable.

    Ocean view is great

The hotel company is definitely cheap. Constantly trying to chase you down for an extra couple bucks. Not about the money... about being in a nice place and having to deal with constant annoyance. There are better places in cabo for a similar enough $. Look elsewhere

    Location is great!

The air conditioning was not working properly, and the hotel's transportation is very slow.

    7ShannonPosted on: 6-6-2024

Location was great, right on the ocean and the pools were very nice

Our room was a little shabby, like duct tape on the floors shabby, but it was comfortable and clean.

Cabo Regina must post no ocean swimming allowedI'm a ocean swimmer! Also to pay the fabulous staff a Livable Wage! The staff walking from Highway are allowed to be picked up in the Cabo Regina golf cartsCelebrate and treat fairly the backbone of our country

Breakfast buffet was ample and omelette was good coffee was strong and good. Main restaurant was good with excellent views. Staff was superb. Lots of hills and got good exercise walking around. Whale watching was continuous, and location for viewing fantastic. Uber was easy and quick.

Need to update furniture, bar food was average at best. Steps or hills everywhere, cart to transport were always available. Limited restaurants available and 30 minutes to Cabo or 20 to San Jose Los Cabo’s.

    Restaurant supper meals were poor

The staff was great. Friendly, and attentive.

Everything was spaced out tremendously throughout the resort. Bellboys were understaffed much of the time.

    Staff was very good.

The time share person was a pest. There is no beach and no one offered transportation to another beach.

That’s was good view of the ocean

I didn't like the old bed linen and old towelsThe room was quite old and not well maintained. The jacuzzi bathroom was so old that all the paint was cracked and it was unpleasant to swim in itThe windows in the room were very dirty.

Love there use of there nature surrounding it & ocean view

They messed up our checking by giving us a smaller room & then taking almost 3 hrs to give us the correct one. Also found some insects the 1st day I told them to get it cleaned and it didn’t happen until the 3rd day.

    8ClaudiaPosted on: 8-9-2023

The room, the pools, the general architecture.

Not easy to get around when the little carts were not easily available. It was not clear to us that one can’t swim in the ocean and that there was no transport to a beach.

    6RicardoPosted on: 7-2-2023

    Beautiful hotel architecture and location

It is clear Raintree inherited this property and everything from then forward shows their lack of expertise in managing a high quality property. There are a number of aspects that show their lack of attention to detail and subpar maintenance such as broken fixtures, peeling huttub lining, and absolutely embarrassing breakfast. It also shows a “cheap” management how they try to charge for a number of different things ($ if you lose the keycard or beach towels, $ for in room water bottles and coffee, resort fees, valet parking fee, etc). The layout of the property although beautiful is quite inconvenient as you need a golf cart to get around or face long walks between the rooms, lobby and pools/beach.
