Hotel Hakata Nakasu Inn

We really enjoyed the room and the hotel facilities, which were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The amenities provided made our stay relaxing and convenient

Breakfast was fine, it is a buffet with around 10 types of bread/pastries and tea, coffee, juice. The room was also fine, nothing really special but it has the essentials and the view was quite nice. The location was nice for us, it is a 25-minute walk from Hakata station and a 25-minute walk from the hotel to the ferry to Busan (South Korea). We spent our evening at Canal City shopping center, which is at a 15-minute walk and has many restaurants and shops. There is a coin laundry option at a 1-minute walk.

Two days before our arrival, we sent a message about whether we could leave our luggage a few hours before the check-in time. They did not respond until two hours before the check-in time (we were able to leave our luggage though). Maybe some more breakfast options than only sweet bread.

The rooms are sufficiently large and clean.The breakfast is a joke. They shouldn't have offered any. One morning, at 8:30 a.m., there wasn't even toast. Unfortunately, the staff, like in many hotels on Kyushu, doesn't speak even rudimentary English. This makes communication virtually impossible. For a city like Fukuoka, this is a disgrace. Voices can be heard through the single-pane windows all the way up to the fifth floor. It's drafty. The room temperature can only be adjusted at the front desk.

The location is good, walking distance to the train station, ichiran and don quixote and just just 5 station from the airport subway station

Breakfast was a big disappointment only bread and coffee , last day we bought breakfast outside cheaper and better. You could not open the windows in the room .

This is a good place to stay in Fukuoka, overlooking the river and close to the seafront. The room was clean, tidy and well equipped. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the nearest subway is only 400 metres away, very easy to get to and from Hakata station. The staff are very friendly and patient and they helped us resolve a small mix-up with the booking details. Recommend.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. Room was clean and has all basic stuff.

Arrived during the peak of a cold wave in January. It was about a 15-20 minute walk from Hakata Station - it may have taken slightly longer because of strong icy winds as I was walking.Hotel was nice and clean. Staff were generally friendly and helpful.

There was some hesitance from staff to arrange for delivery of my luggage (paid service via Kuroneko Yamato) to my next hotel (for arrival on the following day) - I'm not sure if it was because not many guests had requested such before, but I had no problems with this request from other hotels I was staying at. Although they finally did help arrange this, one of the staff members seemed slightly flustered or annoyed at having to arrange this request. Part of the reason may have been because it had (unexpectedly) started to snow during the previous night, so apparently taxi/bus services (and possibly package transport services) had been postponed.

The location was good, walking distance from Tenjin, Canal City, the yatai, etc. Also the staff was nice enough to keep part of our luggage at the hotel while we were traveling elsewhere (but I believe this is customary in Japan).

We needed to book a taxi for the next day to head to the airport very early in the morning. Nothing more usual you may think. But the hotel staff first claimed it was impossible because not enough taxis in Fukuoka. It took me a lot of effort and negotiation to have them call several companies. Finally we could have our taxi. But I was really disappointed in the effort it required to have them do something that should be natural.Also, value for price did not seem very competitive vs a Candeo hotel for example.

We really enjoyed staying there, staff even though did not speak english, were extra helpful. We were able to leave our baggage there for a couple of days with a condition to come back to the same hotel.
