    • The location was great, the staff were helpful and kind, the atmosphere was peaceful, the coffee was delicious, and the availability of toiletries and tea to take to your room were convenient and much appreciated. Cons -

    • I showed them my confirmation where they could not validate it !? OMG. It is clearly written two nights under one booking, not two separate bookings. I had to pay an extra 5000 Yen to pay an extra cost / difference to stay in one room ?? Help!
    • Very small room
    • The artificial onsen they had was really small, only 3 people were able to fit inside. Also, when I went (23h) it was really dirty

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. If I were to make one suggestion, it would be to have the ofuro water a bit hotter. (Of course we went to the bathing area at the end of the day, so that may just be on us!)

nice staff. great library/lounge space that we used to get out of the small room at night. a view over the street, more space, and many interesting books to flip through, coffee machine. There is a "bath" in the hotel but we didn't use it. Pajamas in the room.

    Pillows and standard firm mattress.

Small room but it had all the amenities, spotless white bedsheets and towels, very clean rooms, cosmetic supplies available by the reception, light but decent breakfast included it the room fee.

    No complaints.

Comfortable bed, all day free and good coffee

The showerhead was broken, and the hot water was inconsistent

The location is very good. It’s near the Hakata station. The common area is spacious.

The room is very small and difficult for two people to move around in the tiny room.

Walking distance to the Hakata Station, room is a bit bigger than other hotels, free simple breakfast, very helpful staff, small but nice onsen.

    Breakfast selection was quite small.

    Poor hygiene

    Air conditioner, air quality

    5christinePosted on: 8-12-2025

It is definitely walking distance (6min) to Hakata station, which is convenient to travel around. Oh, bring your earplugs, the cleaning team and/or guests can be quite loud.

The room was not well maintained. The air vent was leaking from the rainy season. The aircon was slightly leaking. Oh, yes one of the lady staff (i think she was slightly more senior in position) was not friendly at all. Would I stay back in this hotel, no definitely not. I had stayed at a better 3* Japanese hotel chain.

I got a little confused in the rain looking for hotel because I missed the signboard but after recognising, it did not happen again. The room was cosy and I liked the layout. However, the sofa in the room looked a little dusty and there were some stains on it. The location of the hotel was great since it was near the combini and the cafe opposite, and I could also get to JR Hakata Station pretty easily. Simple breakfast was provided but it got crowded since the lobby area is not designed for a large number of people to eat and lounge at. I ended up bringing my bread bun and morning drink back to the room for a more leisurely and comfortable breakfast. Overall, it was worth the money.

    8ElenaPosted on: 7-12-2025

Very small room. Everything is small including the public bath.

Location was good. A block away from Hakata station.

    Only the location

Honestly, your money would be better spent in a different hotel. The room was dirty, with dirty curtains, a chipped table, and hairs in the shower drain. It smelled horrible, and I had trouble sleeping because of the smell.Perhaps the reason for this is the fact that they only clean the room once in three days, unless you specifically go to the reception and ask. As if daily cleaning isn't a normal standard in a hotel. There was also one reception clerk who was very unpleasant, but the rest were nice. The offered "light breakfast" is just bread and margarine/jam.The only good thing about this hotel is how close it is to the train station, but do yourself a favor and book any other hotel that is close.

Overall, an enjoyable stay with pleasant staff.

Elevator is small and slow. Breakfast could be improved - like pastry other than just buns and bread.
