    • My kid loved the dinosaur check-in. The free breakfast was an unexpected treat - loved the onigiri machine and topping bar, the potato salad and frozen fruit with yogurt. This was a convenient location for buses/subway to sites, easy and safe area for our family to walk around, short walk to Canal City, restaurants and the Christmas market (which we stumbled on as a surprise one night). 7-11 right across the street for any needs. Luggage storage was convenient and easy.

    Cons -

    • Some knicks/tears in the wallpaper in the bedroom area - would like to see fixed. As an FYI, all three beds (glad to have separate beds) took up the entire floor space, so if you have large luggage, you might struggle with where to put your bags and how to manage in the space. We only have one carry-on sized bag each and it was tight enough (stored under the counter area. No closet or dresser/drawers but there are a few hangers to hang up jackets. This wasn't a real problem, I'm just noting it for those who might expect a little more space. We made it work for two nights and we would stay here again.
    • Bathroom was not clean and the meal option was not worth the price
    • We called in for late check-out at 2:00pm and the lady from the phone agreed saying that we need to pay extra ¥1000 for every hour extension. We thought we were all set until someone knocked to out room at around 1:00PM to tell us that we need to check-out. We told her we already called for 2:00pm LCO, however she said that if we check-out at 2, we need to pay for another whole night stay. Imagine the horror hearing that while you are still in the bath. So, we panicked and asked to give us another 10minutes because I need to finish taking a bath and get dressed. We loved our stay, it’s just unfortunate that we had a miscommunication during our check-out :(

The location is good- can walk to Jr Hakata as well as Tenjin and several other shopping places.

The room is very very small. We have to squeeze thru to move within the room. Room is too small for two 25 inch luggage. We booked for a twin bed room and I think it’s suitable for 1 person only. We were quite disappointed. You don’t get to see any staff around. The free breakfast, afternoon biscuits and night drinks - always stay the same. Maybe the hotel can consider a slightly change of menu.

    Location, price

Typical tiny Japanese business hotel room

Location was paramount being close to the train/subway station, convenience stores, shopping malls, restaurants and the yatais!

Rooms were a little small so opt for twin beds if at all possible. These rooms are significantly larger. Accommodations were reasonably priced.

This hotel offers excellent value with a great location, comfortable rooms, and quality mattresses. The complimentary drinks and snacks are a generous touch that's genuinely appreciated.

Two issues need attention. My polite request for an extra pillow was declined because "pillows exactly match the number of beds", an unnecessarily rigid policy. More significantly, there was a persistent sewage odor in the room. I didn't report it since it clearly wasn't a quick fix, especially at 10pm.The hotel has real potential and many strengths, but the sewage issue is a dealbreaker that prevents me from recommending it. With proper maintenance and a bit more flexibility on guest requests, this could easily be a place I'd return to and suggest to others.

The location of the hotel and the check in and out procedure.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and there were many stains about the different beddings. There is about one person on staff at a time with the only food available at breakfast being onigiri you make yourself.

    10KimPosted on: 11-7-2025

The robots were great! There was no staff on site that we needed or saw but if there are issues the robots would call the staff. The room was spacious due to the layout.

Good location, breakfast and happy hour both great values

We liked the Dinosaur theme which is why we chose it.Nice that a door separates the bed area from the entry and bathroom.Appreciated the afternoon snacks and location of the hote

Did not like the cramped quarters, the beds were so close to each other and the walls, no room to move. No place to place our luggage, we used the shower room for our luggage.

    8RiggsPosted on: 5-3-2025

I like the unique check-in system with the dinosaurs and the convenient check-out kiosk. The free breakfast, tea time, and alcohol reception was appreciated. The souvenir coin option is also unique and fun. I also like that the hotel is close to many interesting attractions and entertainment.

I didn't like the complications with using my passport to check in. But thankfully the staff was helpful. I also do not like how firm the beds are. The breakfast was good, but it could benefit from a little more variety.

The location was good near the canal Room was comfortable and quiet

    No customer service

Interesting hotel. We booked it for the novelty of checking in with dinosaurs, Location was great, opposite a Toyota car rental outlet and walking distance to a subway station as well as the city. Only 4 stops on the subway to the airport. Room was a bit small but seems standard for Japanese hotels. Had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the simple breakfast and afternoon tea provided. Also made use of their free evening bar drinks. Will come back again if we are in Fukuoka.

the Dinosaurs are unique touch. The room was clean. Good location

Breakfast was very crowded, the food was basic. there were not enough table to fit all the guests. there was no view from our window, only the next building.

    9ShuqingPosted on: 3-20-2025

Nice clean rooms. There is parking near the hotel. Friendly helpful staff.

    5CatherinePosted on: 3-13-2025

The options for breakfast were limited, but fresh. "Tea time" was a nice option during the day while we were resting and figuring out where to visit next. The themed rooms were very cute. We were in Shinkansen room, and I have no interest in trains, but I still found it cute and silly.

The hotel spaces (rooms, the lobby, the check-in area) were very small, crowded, and dirty compared to other Henn na Hotels I have stayed at (e.g., in Tokyo, in Nara). Check-in was a nightmare because it seemed like 50 people wanted to check in at 3pm, so there was a tremendous line while everyone tried to figure out how to interact with our dinosaur check in guides. We came by car, and parking was "sort of" available but was not terribly convenient if you had parked somewhere that was NOT one of the few lots they worked with in the vicinity. Overall, I felt overcharged for the experience.

Pretty good location and the robot dinosaurs are a cool novelty. Easy check-in and check-out process.

While the dinosaurs are a cool novelty, it would've been nice to have some reception staff to ask questions about local recommendations and things like that

    8StephaniePosted on: 3-8-2025

Loved the reception dinosaurs. Apart from that, small but decent room for a good price. Not too many bells and whistles but great price vs value.

Room was pretty small, breakfast somewhat limited. Not an issue though.
