Hotel New Otani Hakata

Rooms were amazing, close proximity to restaurants and we could walk

The bathroom were outdated

The staff is what makes this hotel shine. Everyone is attentive and their care really shows.

A bit dated such as the carpet ripping in a few areas but everything else makes up for minor aesthetic defects.

Our room is spacious for a family of 4, it's very clean and well maintained. The hotel staffs are very nice and accommodating. There are restaurants and pastry shoppe inside the hotel, and a convenience store nearby. It's easy to get a taxi in this area. It's also close to a subway station. Overall our stay in this hotel is great.

Japanese female employee helped me to rebook another tour on my cellphone since the one I previously booked was cancelled. The rebooking was difficult for me because it was in Japanese with kanji. She was very nice and went out of her way to help a foreign customer.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice bathroom with great water pressure. Good location. Efficient luggage storage.

Breakfast was good, location great - short walk to Tenjin area. Staff really polite and welcoming. Bathroom clean and bright.

Room and furnishings extremely dated and tired looking, mattress overdue for a change, pillows small and some thoroughly lacking filling (need replacing) so we asked for extra pillows to make up for it. Room could do with a bit more lighting.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great bathroom and water pressure.They have luggage storage, so we didn't have to bring all our luggage during trips to Hiroshima and Beppu.The special amenities for children were cute and thoughtful.Family Mart and 7 Eleven are nearby.

Everything was great!If there was a shuttle to the shopping area, it would have been exceptional. ?

This is quite possibly the most pleasant and friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough to make our stay amazing. I would rate this hotel 11/10 if I could. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

Great location (right by watanabe-dori subway) and elegant hotel. The buffet was excellent, the room size was great (executive) and the massage chair was a treat. Views from the rooms were nice (I was on 12th floor).

The location is really great, a few steps away from the subway, very convenient. It is clean and the personnel ist really friendly.

If you add the tax and service to the price that booking.com quoted, the bill is a bit more than you expected.

This was the second time staying at the Hotel New Otani Hakata and was another EXCELLENT experience!!!

During a breakfast buffet, I encountered a large group of men crowding the entire breakfast room before their tour. I was unable to enjoy my breakfast until an hour after the entire group departed because they ate all the food! But the host and servers were very, very, apologetic!!!

Luxurious, great service, spacious room

Might need some renovation. Location was good but still about 15-20 minutes walk to main attractions. Metro stop is right by the hotel though (we didn’t use it).

Pleasant surprise, much much better than I expected. Nice Foyer, good location, very polite emloyees. A big supermarket is just right across the street. Many eateries are around the corner. For breakfast you can choose between Western or traditional Japanese style, I picked Japanese, very happy with my choice. The among is just right, very beautifully presented. You really eat with the eye. Room is of a good size for Japan. Pleasant room very quiet.

Hotel rooms are of decent size and the breakfast was good quality with a wide selection.Location is on the quieter side of Hakata with a leisurely 10-20 minutes' walk to Tenjin and Canal city.Staff were helpful and able to communicate in English and there was a Mandarin speaking staff at reception, I presume totake care of Chinese guests.The hotel was fully booked on day of our arrival and despite us willing to pay the extra hours, we were unable to secure an earlier check-in.Recommended.

Room is ok size. It’s 10 minutes away by wall to the centre. Buffet dinner is lovely though we didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant on 14th floor, as it was New Year Eve.

I always like New Otani hotels in Japan, but this was my first time staying with New Otani in Fukuoka, and not surprisingly it was a very good experience as expected

The one-off slippers are very cheap, not compatible with a five-star hotel like New Otani. Japanese hotels like New Otani used to provide very nice high quality slippers including sometimes the traditional Japanese slippers. The increasing use of cheap one-off amenity do not save the environment --- I understand the intention, but the intention does not necessarily produce the intended outcome...instead, using such one-off cheap stuff contributes to the opposite as they are typically sourced from factories in developing countries that use cheap labor and cheap material without much regards to both the earth and the people...I would strongly suggest Japanese hotels stick to their own traditions and practices and do not fall into the silly western "ideological trap" by copying what western hotels are doing...effect matters more than intention in everything including protecting the earth...please stop sourcing and using those cheap one-off slippers, the manufacturing process of which contributes a lot more damage to the earth and the labor ...

Breakfast was good, but would be better if it has a larger spread. We tried both Japanese and International buffet. Japanese breakfast was good. The location of the hotel is great, next to the Watanabe-dori subway station.

Only two bottles of mineral water per room - not enough for two persons per day.

Location was really near to the station, makes it easy to move around by subway. Near to our car rental pickup point. Room was comfy n clean.
