The Royal Park Hotel Fukuoka

Royal Park Hotel was fairly conveniently located. It is about a 7 - 8 minute walk from the clock side of Hakata Station. So not bad. The road directly in line with the clock will get you there and once you get to the street jog slightly right.

My room was small but I booked a cheaper single room with only a shower. It was good enough.

Only the location which is not exactly very near the subway station.

Breakfast buffet very limited, worst coffee i have so far tasted in a hotel. I would have preferred a 3 in 1 coffee instead what they offered. Only oolong tea and diluted apple juice for breakfast, no other choice. Room and facilities already outdated, maybe it's time to repair/refurbish/renovate the rooms. Staff at the front desk not very welcoming and helpful.

Perfectly good room, comfortable and clean although on the small side. Nice bathroom that was fresh and clean.Ideal location of hotel an easy 5-10 min walk from the main station. Convenience store over the road and excellent restaurants/cafes nearby including at the station.Very kind and helpful staff.

It was expensive but then every hotel in Fukuoka is pricey for some reason that we were not able to determine. No other complaints.

Location, cleanliness, comfy beds

A bit small for 3 people. Perfect for 2.

Great location, clean.

The hotel was not modern. No individual climate control in the room. Myself and other guests commented on the unacceptable heat while sleeping.

The location is nice. The JR Hakata train station is 10-minute walk from the hotel.

The breakfast was a very Hakata style, which we did not get used to. They serve mostly stir-fried and boiled vegetable, which we expect more kinds of protein-based food.

Convenience location

Fairly large room and bathroom. Good and generous breakfast buffet spread with one free a la carte menu item per person per morning. One-time free drink and light snack at The Bar starting 3pm. Quite area with hotel occupying a whole triangular block halfway between main Hakata Station and Canal City Mall.

They charged additional 1,500 yen saying it’s accommodation tax of Fukuoka even if I already paid all taxes and fees in website.

The bathtub was huge. I'm 6'3" / 193cm and loved how large the tub was as I could fill it up to the very top and enjoy an amazing evening soak. Endless amount of hot water. The dual handle shower and rain shower was icing on the cake. Room was small, yet comfortable. The included breakfast buffet was great.

Comfortable room, excellent bathroom, good soundproofing, professional and helpful staff, enjoyable breakfast, pleasant ambiance.

The room was spacious but could have been designed better to provide more clothes hanging space and luggage storage.

The hotel was a stone's throw from Hakata Station, but on a quieter and less crowded side. There were several convenience stores nearby, and dining options were also a lot. The room was just big enough for 3pax, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom's size was just right.

Well-located about a leisurely 10 minute walk from Fukuoka Hakata central station and very welcoming. Our room was a very good size by Japanese standards and everything was clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable but we struggled with the pillows which were very soft (like almost everywhere else in Japan). We did not use the breakfast room as there were many restaurants and cafes nearby that we felt allowed a better Japanese experience.

As mentioned above, the only issue was the softness of the pillows. Otherwise it was all we expected and received in spades. We shall be back there again if we return to Fukuoka! As with all hotels in Fukuoka (for reasons we do not understand), it was on the expensive side but no more so than many other hotels nearby.

The staff were invaluable, the breakfast offered both Western and Japanese cuisine, and a Lawson convenience store is located across the street at the entrance. Location: 500 meters from Hakata Station

The location was superb. It was an easy walk to both the main train station and shopping areas on this side of the river. A convenience store right opposite the hotel was very handy as well. Rooms were spacious, shower facilities were great.

The WiFi was rather weak and not too stable. But it’s the only issue. Everything else was fabulous.

Very close to the Hakata Station. Super convenient for using the JR Kyushu Shinkansen.

The room was a little cramped for 3 adults, but it wasn’t totally unexpected.

Location is good and staff very nice

Rooms are really small and the beds were hard. Internet was the worst I’ve experienced in recent years. Don’t stay here if you need to work from your room. It is sooo slow and freezes.

The room was too small for three people and for the price that we paid. It was just nearby the station, otherwise nothing special to say about the hotel.
