Hotel Hakata Place

Everything we needed was there! Even an extension cord, also a washer/dryer machine. Large lighted mirror to be able to do make up too. Staff was super helpful as well. Convenience store very close as well. Really spacious bathroom/shower area too. LOVED the vending and ice machines!

Beds were not the softest, but slept really well.

Everything and everyone was great! Breakfast was delicious, especially the curries and naan bread! Combini nearby, room had a kitchenette! Washer/dryer too!

Not enough restaurants nearby.

We attended a week of sumo and hotel was directly across the road. There were cooking facilities and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our stay for the week along with securing next year's accommodation for the same time

Excellent location for taking the ferry to Busan. Wonderful breakfast.They only had a smoking room left, but I couldn't smell any smoke at all.Big room by Japanese standards.

Very close to the port, 10 minute walk or so. So perfect for what we wanted as were getting the JR beetle the next morning.

Location and room size were great. Very clean. Staff was very friendly. We didn’t know that we had to specifically book a room with a washing machine. We assumed all rooms had it because we saw pictures of washing machine. Staff was quick to accommodate us and helped us to move to the second floor where the rooms had washing machine. Easy to find parking too.

Bed could be a little bigger for two people.

very traditional style but clean and sophisticated place, very nice staff, i recommend here for every purpose.i used domitory room but personal space is sufficient and semi-privated.hopefully it will be better space if they sereve some sausages or meat snacks at their bar

The hotel was near the International Conference Center and the sumo venue, which was good. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was great!

The location was far from the city centre.

Perfect location for the Sumo wrestling and the Busan ferry. But had to take Ubers into the city for food, which wasn’t a big deal.

There was a man at reception that was a little rude and short with us.

It is easy to get to the ferry port: approximately 10 minutes on foot. The room looks like a typical Japanese apartment with kitchen and bathroom. Microwave, fridge, coffee, and green tea are available in the room.

It was a kitchen available in the room. However, no kitchen tools or tableware were provided. You need to keep your room key at the reception when you leave your room, which felt a little bit uncomfortable.

The hotel is a 10-15 min walk from the port, so a good choice if you're taking a morning ferry to Busan. Simple, clean, cheap enough

The ventilator fan over the hob was quite noisy - it was turned off but kept spinning all night, and seemed to magnify the sounds of passing motorbikes. The hotel isn't particularly central and there's not much around in the way of restaurants. No bedside light, only an overhead one.

The hotel is conveniently located near the conference center. It is a bit far from downtown. The staff are very helpful in explaining the bus system and stops. The room is clean and made up everyday.

Traffic noise disturbed my sleep

Perfect location as we took the ferry from Busan (South Korea), arriving early evening. The hotel manager, Shirai, had been exceptionally responsive to my inquiries before our arrival, and he was just as welcoming and helpful during our stay. We especially appreciated his assistance in helping us to get on the correct bus to the train station the next morning. The hotel was of higher quality than we expected and included amenities such as a washing machine (which would have been extremely useful for an extended stay). It was, of course, very clean, with everything in perfect working order. The breakfast was very good. There was an ample variety of dishes, the coffee was great, and the breakfast room was spacious. All staff were courteous and professional. In all, great value for the money. We would definitely stay again should the need arise.

For a one-night stay, it was fine. We really have no criticisms. Had we stayed longer, I think we would have been quite comfortable.

Only choose this location because it was close to ferry port (to go over to Busan). It is a decent 20+ min walk if you want to go to Yatai areas to eat

That we couldn't get a taxi to the port, it was a bit expensive.

It might be due to Fukuoka not being that of a travel destination yet, as e.g. Osaka is, but the room was surprisingly spacious. I liked the fact that toilet and shower were is separate rooms. it was clean and nicely located to teach Canal city or the Yatai. top!
