APA Hotel Fukuoka Watanabedori Ekimae EXCELLENT

The location was fine.

When we arrived they charged us for parking (our receipt said it was free) that amounted to an extra 25% of our bill and acted like we were crazy for being upset. There are too many other problems to list but I must mention the bathroom was full of mold.

great location, about a 20 minute walk from hakata station. great location with many things around it. transportation is convenient too

the pillows were rough :( , other than that everything else was amazing!

- Next to a metro- Big for Japan hotel rooms.- Had a Dolce gusto machine!- More comfortable than most APA Hotels.

- Dusty!- Shower a bit old.- Quite expensive for what it is.

Good breakfast we always had a full stomach after eating. Nice staff.

In our room there are issues with the pipe. Beside the bathtub water is leaking. Wifi in our room is not good I always use my roaming.

Location.

Cramped. The checking in procedure was difficult. Initially through the machine but the system could not take the credit card. Then had to effect it manually. The staff were not conversant in English. So many trainees and only the manager knew what was going on. The trainees really were not able to handle much.

The room size is fine for one person. Location near the subway, about 5mins. Many restaurants and super markets nearby open 24 hours.

a bit old but still functional. They clean the room every three days. but you can require cleaning only before 9am. The ac is controlled by auto system so it’s a bit hot and dry in the room.

The staff’s kindness goes without saying, and the place is exceptionally clean. I observed that they assess whether guests can speak Japanese or not before interacting with them.

I wish the check-out time could be a bit later. While I can get ready early in the morning, when staying for just one night, it feels like I’m only there to sleep and leave.

No corkscrew when I asked to open bottle of wineI paid almost 30000 yen for a basic room and couldn't supply a basic item !Worse than that aircon at hotel wasn't working properly and as it was quite warm and as I needed to get up early wanted to get a good night's sleep The front staff did thankfully provide a fan that helped Understand hotels in big cities in Japan are way and often outrageously overpriced on weekends so definitely not getting value !

The hotel is clean and in a great location! The staff were pretty polite and accommodating!

The hotel is old and smells like smoke. The breakfast looked yummy but it was greasy.

We really enjoyed our stay in Hakata. Next to the hotel there's a local market and the shopping center Canal City Hakata is only a short walk away. Check in and check out was hassle-free, the staff was friendly. The hotelroom was comfortable, clean and decent size. Definitely recommend staying here. I also recommend taking the local train to Ogori to visit Nyorinji Frog Temple, it's such a special shrine.

The hotel was good for our needs. We stayed one night before moving on. It was close to restaurants, ok size and had a comfortable bed. The only downside was that the pillows were a bit hard, and the fan in the bathroom ceiling could use some cleaning.

Location, reception, room, breakfast

The breakfast was nice to have so many choices of the food. The location is nice, too, not far away from the subway, and you can find a supermarket, a medicine store, and a road with restaurants just around the corner, super convenient.

just bring back the cleanliness I experienced during the pre-pandemic days. including the attention to details of your cleaners. while I understand the hotel policy of every-3-cleaning, I expected that the staff would be more thorough when they clean.

Have everything I need in my room except a steamer or iron. Conbinis and train stations are quite a walking distance but still near. A lot of very near bus stops tho. Few facilities like money changer and laundry in the hotel so thats nice. Check in and checkout is fast. Wifi is okay although it does slow down on rare times. They give you fresh towels everyday so thats a plus. The room is big too especially since im alone and im a small person.

I was slightly disappointed by the housekeeping. It wasnt quite as thorough as I expected.

This hotel was truly a terrible experience!! I would not recommend this to anyone. I moved to another hotel for half the price after this and the room and staff were 100% better. The staff at this APA hotel insisted that I pay an additional 1,000 yen to check in 10 minutes early to the check-in time which was 5pm. They placed me into a room on the third floor in front of the elevators and a loud crowd just outside the thin window. The room windows are as thin as paper. You can hear everything outside. After realizing I could not sleep, I gave them a call at 2am to complain about the amount of noise coming from the hotel elevator just outside my door and the outside noise. The staff insisted she check the noise level in my room at 2am to determine whether it was worth moving me. I asked for a refund for the first night and not only were they rude to handle the situation but they also did not refund me. There are many hotels in this area, and this is one hotel I will not be coming back to.
