HOTEL ORIGO HAKATA - Gion -

It was clean and close to the train station.

I spent 30 minutes checking in, it was such a hassle. Once I got someone on the line, the WiFi was so bad that the line dropped 3 separate times. The WiFi in the hotel itself was also terrible, it only worked for thirty minutes at a time. They really should not advertise this for tourists if a phone number is your only back up. Most tourists do not have Japanese phone numbers. The price should have been halved for the annoyance for it to be worth it.

Clean, enough space, good location

The staff was really friendly, they even stored our luggage since we arrived before to explore. The bed was comfortable. It’s a 5 minute walk from Tochoji or Canal City, and a 10 minute walk from Hakata Station.It’s a bit on the smaller size, but we managed to lay down a 20kg suitcase

The room was more spacious than most rooms I've had in Japan. Great for 3-4 people. The room was clean, the provided amenities were great. I liked the shampoo and skincare samples. The staff was very responsive by email. They let us bring our luggages before check-in and kept them after check-out until maximum 3:30pm.

The rooms aren't very sound proof. It's easy to hear the neighboring rooms. The beds were not the most comfortable.

Location is good not too far from Hakata station. You can walk from hotel to Tochoji temple and Kushida shrine. I also love electronic hair curler in the room.

Light in the room is not enough and hot water is not stable when you take a baht.

It was well located and private. Bed and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

It was a bit of a squeeze with luggage. Also, the typical Japanese pillows with foam balls inside were not very comfortable.

Room was clean, we had towels and toiletries provided. location was the best, just a few steps away from the subway.

It is spacious and clean. Also has sofa to chill after coming back from a long walk. Location was great, the closest subway is Gion station but still walkable distance to Hakata. Us travelling to elder we took almost 10 mins to walk. Recommend to walk than taking subway. Walking distance to Canal City as well. There are 2 hair dryer and hair curler in the room. Staff and room are in the same building but different floor, you can leave your luggage after 11.30 am on you check-in time and you can also leave them after check-out. If I’ll ever come to Fukuoka again, I’ll absolutely choose this plcae to stay. Highly rec!!

I think check-in at 4pm is quite late although a lot of hotel in Japan can be checked-in at this time :( Other than that, I loved it!!

the flooring

it was TINY. SO RIDICULOUSLY SMALL. you couldn’t open the door without going up the steps. zero space for luggage. for two people it’s really not a good place to stay

bumped heads a few times on the ceilings but understandable because it’s a bunk bed setting

The rooms were clean and the location was convenient.

The AC in my room blasted heat twice. The first time they were able to fix it but not the second time. They upgraded me to a bigger room with working AC and I appreciated that.

The room is pretty clean and comfortable and it definitely exceeds expectations for the price. Good for a solo stay.

The water takes awhile to get hot and the AC is very cold. There was a smell of garbage all through the hall when I stayed, but I couldn't tell where it came from. It started to seep into my room and I had to have windows open and AC on to tolerate it...

We liked the location, easy access and overall experience of the stay. The design of the toilet separate from the shower and sink was really great. The loft above the beds was VERY cool too! We enjoyed that.

There was dirt and crumbs on the floor. It looked like it had not been swept or mopped. Under the table was even more dirt and hair. It was just a little, but made me displeased. I would have loved for one of the three windows to be clear so we could see the city.The stairs were VERY narrow, maybe a "Caution" sign. There was great signs and information of where to go and directions for checking in/out though, so that was very nice! Good option for a foreigner.

location, and the room itself was superb. no complaints. the facility provided ie body wash, shampoo, iron, microwave etc was convenient.

idk if this can be improved by management or not, but my room was mistaken by different guests a few times because they probably misread theirs. i didnt bother to open the door and tell them they got the wrong room though, was pretty tired.
