Pros +
- Great bldg, location, design & aesthetics. Something between a boutique hotel in terms of vibe & unique designs with basic but adequate services & good amenities
- From the very start, before we arrived, Ni was super helpful to answer questions and help with restaurant reservations. Throughout our stay, Ni and the other staff continued to be super helpful with our every need. We truly thank you for your care!
- Everything was thoughtfully laid out and staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Cons -
- A bit of walk to the shopping district but this lets you get your daily steps in.
- I booked this hotel for the final five-day stay of a three-week trip to Japan. I spent more than I usually do but thought I'd be good to myself. The offering said "city view". My room was 604 and the "city view" was a large water tank on the adjacent property. So, a bit disappointed in that considering almost 200 euros a night. For my own personal tastes, I found the hotel to be a bit on the highbrow side; it was a lot more polished than what I really needed and, considering the view, I feel I over-spent. The hotel staff was very nice, comfort and cleanliness very good. So, I'm speaking of my own personal preferences.
- There were no windows in our room to safely keep open ajar for a bit of fresh air circling in. Has only one emergency door that was supposed to be kept closed unless emergency…. Also the shower head was too heavy for the mount on the wall that the mount was getting loose from the excess weight. It would also be great to have a system to easily request towels/garbage bags/coffee&tea AS NEEDED ESPECIALLY when the room cleaning is not preferred (“do not disturb” sign). They kept leaving us fresh ones everyday but that seemed against the sustainability movement. Their laundry machine made our clothes very greasy and stale. Very unfortunate. The staff delivering the laundry was nice but the watching and drying process need to be checked.

The hotel staff was very friendly and gracious, the bed quite comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. Excellent location with many attractions just a short walk away. It was also an easy walk from Hakata station. So it was a comfortable stay.

The staff. The friendliest, the kindest, the politest staff I’ve met at a hotel. They remember your face. And their effort to be environmentally aware and smart. Enjoyed their bamboo toothbrush and their original tooth paste. Nice deep bath tub.

Very good location and lovely helpful staff. Nice simple bedroom
Little too hard bed, but very common for Japan I suppose
Great staff, great size room, great vibe. Loved the attention to eco sustainable.
Mattress too uncomfortable. If this was fixed I would rate it 10
The location was perfect for all of our activities, easy walk to stations, food, and sight seeing. It is quiet, serene, comfortable, and extremely clean! The staff is kind and very helpful, Nhie went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything that we needed. The amenities are fantastic. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Fukuoka.
The staff were incredible, very kind, and very attentive. Service was great. I liked the complimentary tea/coffee they gave when you arrive. Some of the staff are trained in massage and they can provide massages. The massages are much more affordable compared to my country. There are many great food spots around this area.
The mattress was too firm. The location was a bit far of a walking distance from Hakata Station. There was no real view from the hotel room, and I had to keep the curtain closed for privacy because everyone can see each other from the window. But unfortunately because of this, natural sunlight was blocked out from the room.
The arrival process was very relaxing and friendly. The hotel gives a very “zen” vibe. Loved the quiet and absence of smells. Slept well in the darkened room. Could be little cooler for westerners sleeping. There are many restaurants in the area making it easy to find a bite and get to sleep.
Very kind staff, and great location
The bed are inconfortable.
This unique boutique hotel brings a lot of surprises. The bed was hard but it provided very restful nights. Initially we were not used to the still air from the F-con (pls google for info on its technology) and we had to request for air circulators/fans. But after a night or two, we got used to it and found the air to be less drying than the usual aircon. What stands out most is the exceptional service level of the staff. Help was provided whenever we needed help. Though most of the staff do not speak much English, we were able to communicate well with Google Translate. We were always greeted with smiles which made our days brighter. Even though there’s no concierge service from midnight till 7am, we were able to get them to help us book airport transfer in advance for 6.30am departure from the hotel. We just had to deposit the keys at the counter. Initially we were worried about not being able to get help should the airport transfer not arrive on time, our worries were unfounded. The driver came 10mins before our booking time. Overall we had a Great Morning at the hotel.
Good size rooms for Japan, very friendly and courteous staff
The mattress was to firm, but immediately resolved by the hotel fitting a mattress topper
Quiet, clean, small but lovely room, helpful, friendly staff
The interior space makes you feel at home and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Very convenient location as the subway is near and even though it is along a quieter street, there are good places to eat nearby as well.
The bed was hard and both pillows were too flat to have a comfortable sleep (especially if you are a side sleeper).
the room layout is exactly what I like, with an extra door splitting the toilets and rooms can also see the amenities are well selected
I have to say this supposed to be a 5 star review, but the bed was too hard for us which we couldn't really sleep well
Clean and nice staffs and great location.
parking :(
The location is central but quiet, ideal for sightseeing and public transport. The room is bigger than average. And the service is impeccable!
The staff was very professional and helped me with any questions I had. The room was very big as well, which I didn’t expect for Japan, so I had plenty pf space to open both my luggages and even to just walk around, it also had everything I needed and was always clean.
Minimalism and eco concept of the hotel. sleek and comfortable feeling overall. Staff are professional, friendly and welcoming. Room is big and cozy.
The mattress is too hard. if there's 1 thing to upgrade/ update in the room. It has to be the mattress. Sound proof is minor problematic. can hear the noise when guest above drags their chair.
