- Pros - Private pool in the villa, wonderful staff and good food in the restaurant, easy access to taxis via Grab and Klook apps.
- The villas were absolutely charming, and the staff were exceptional! Welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived until check-out, the interactions with other guests were enjoyable, and everyone was very friendly. The private pools and garden were perfect for the kids, who had a great time playing football in the yard. The location was convenient, with several restaurants and a mini-market nearby. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place as an ideal destination to stay!
- Good size rooms, bathrooms and pool, friendly staff and prompt service. Bed was comfortable and location was quiet and peaceful.
Cons -
- Cons - A little away from Ubud city, lots of traffic on the way.We asked one of the receptionists if they could arrange a cab to drop us off at the airport early morning at 6 am, he agreed and told us that the rate would be 455k IDR. We had a doubt so checked in Grab and saw that the rate was around 200k - 250k. When we told him that, he brought down the rate to 400k. Finally we booked a cab via Klook app and paid 250k. When we are spending our hard earned money and staying at a hotel, we expect the staff to be honest and reasonable, and not try to extract more money from us ??
- All the pillows were too thick. When requesting for a replacement, they informed that this was the only size pillows they had. Not much around within walking distance. For a 2 bedroom villa, there were no cutleries, plates or glasses kept in the kitchen. Food was a bit average at times.
- We could have done with some towel rails to hang out wet swimsuits and towels. The floor in the outside living space gets extremely slippery when wet. My daughter slipped over and fell hurting herself twice. More mats should be considered to be put down to reduce this. The bed in the main bedroom is really lovely! We would have liked it to be on the opposite wall of the room, so you can look out and enjoy the gorgeous garden from the bedroom window and not the wall.

The 2 bedroom deluxe villa with private pool was a green sanctuary! The most beautiful outside space and great size swimming pool. It was a utopia, that we didn’t want to leave.

The room was better than expected, clean, spatious.
Breakfast was disappointing. Asked for pankakes, served 3 small and 2 strawberries, was starving after it. Kitchen needs some revision.
The private villas are absolutely beautiful and perfect for families, but honestly the staff at this resort are what make it so welcoming, smiles from the second we arrived and they made us feel so at home! We can’t wait to come back!
The location was nice and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My bed was very comfy and I slept well.

We stayed in the two bedroom villa, which was such a lovely oasis for us. Staff served us meals to our rooms and were responsive to all requests, even if at times a bit lost in translation (our fault, we don’t speak Indonesian or Balinese). THE POOL in the villa was such a huge perk. As was air conditioning :).
We were asked to place breakfast orders the night before and at times things were not available or timing wasn’t quite right. But that was only a small inconvenience since we were on a tight schedule at a retreat down the road that ran all day every day.
Everything was very clean, the staff were excellent and the local area is quiet and relaxing. It is a rather secluded area of Ubud, so restaurants and activities are a little further away, however that was a bonus for us as it was very peaceful. The pool was lovely and the staff were also able to organize massages for us in our rooms from one of the trusted local businesses. Excellent service all around. All the facilities were well maintained as well, which was a relief as some resorts and hotels were not cared for properly during the pandemic.
Nothing was wrong with our stay, however a few more breakfast options would have been great.
The rooms are very spacious and the staff is very friendly
The bathrooms were open at the top and hence, some insects like lizards crawled in. I didn't mind the location as it's a bit far from the city center but if location is your prime concern, then please take this into account before booking
Beautiful villa, nice place to stay with family,Staff were very nice and friendly, villa supplied transport when needed at very good prices
Location, needed transport to go anywhere 25 min drive from ubud central but staff supplied transport at reasonable prices
First off, the staff – super friendly and always ready to help. They really added a warm touch to our stay. The location was tranquil and had a peaceful aura, perfect for a getaway. Decent room size and a comfy bed. The swimming pool was small and average, but the poolside area was peaceful. Overall, the property had a calming vibe, it was squeaky clean, and the staff kept the smiles coming.
It was a bit of a ride from the buzzing heart of Ubud. We dodged the breakfast package, and it came out to be a wise move. The breakfast menu was very limited, esp. for a vegetarian. Plus, we had to let the staff know the day before by 9 PM if we wanted breakfast the next day. Not exactly what you want on a vacation. The room design felt like it was trying to play hide and seek with the outside world. No windows, no balcony, just a closed-off space. The bathroom doors were a see-through affair, which left us with only partial privacy. A bathroom light show that no one asked for, and highly irritating during the night and the early hours.Charging our devices turned into a real-life survival challenge. Not a single travel adaptor in sight, and the charging points were scarce.Asking for an extra towel felt like a secret mission. They wanted the old ones back first. And no body lotion or moisturizer was provided. A simple request for pen and paper left us empty-handed – they couldn't even spare a pen!One day, our bathroom towel decided to showcase its new hole. Thankfully, after some complaining, they came through with a replacement, and our towel game was strong again. The property didn't offer much space to roam and explore.
We are a group of 5 (4 adults+ 1 kid) who stayed at the 2-bedroom villa for 7 nights. What we loved most is the staff—the receptionists, waiters, cooks, housekeepers, gardener, and driver—all of whom were very courteous, friendly, and will go out of their way to help. Their hospitality is truly outstanding. Restaurant serves good food, which was really a good thing, as there’s practically no other restaurant in the vicinity. We enjoyed the private pool in the villa, which was well maintained. Overall, we had a wonderful and memorable stay in at Freddies and will definitely consider staying here again.
central to shat we were doingstaff were helpful and friendly the room was clean quiet and value for money. internet was perfect food was lovely.
not much around it to eat or entertainment in the evening.
close to Bali zoo(5mins)
staff were rude and ignored us on several occasions. I have reviewed this on Google and the owner blamed covid but refused to accept responsibility for his staff! waiter at night just walked off after our order and despite us ordering breakfast in advance like we was demanded too we still had to wait 30 mins for it. I get covid has a massive impact on staff etc but the whole of Bali and Ubud has been amazing, just not here very noisy hotel so don’t expect to sleep well ! bathroom also floods with water there after 12 hours , tap hangs off and smell coming up is putrid
Value for money..good service from the hotel people..very accommodating...place was clean and calm.. located at an easy accessible area..??
Big room, comfortable and calm
Clean, comfort but so far from Ubud Center
The private pool was amazing, the view overlooking the creek was great. The bed was large and comfortable with all modern bathroom including bathtub. Dinner and breakfast 10/10 and the staff were more than helpful, so friendly.
Hotel staff were friendly.
There was no shuttle and had to pay hotel staff to drive into town each time. Hotel restaurant closed at 2pm, so to order food, it had to be delivered using phone apps. Outdoor furniture needs updating due to staining.
