Papillon Echobeach

Incredible location, easy to walk to shops, cafes, and beach! Will stay again!

Lovely stay at this hotel that is located 5 minutes away from Echo Beach and the main shopping streets in Canggu.There is a bar next door, but they upgraded our room to the far opposite side, so it was very quiet. The staff was friendly and the buffet breakfast very decent. I would probably go back if I were to stay in Canggu again.

Close to the beach

There is no mini fridge in the standard room. It was also on the main road- very noisy until 01:00 am.

Location was really nice and close to beach. Room was very small and not same as photos. Pool was looking very dirty.

The staff were super polite and helpful. The entrance has a shallow pool with a large stepping stone that leads to the adjoining restaurant, and it had some some fish swimming around in it.

We are a family of three, including an 11-year-old girl, and we are working professionals who are happy to pay a bit more for a nice hotel. As we are out most of the day and essentially just in the hotel to sleep, we don’t really need a 5-star unless it’s a real bargain.We arrived in Canggu as our last destination in Bali and through out our stay had been experiencing lovely 4star accommodations, in Kuta, Ubud, and Uluwatu. This may have affected our experience of Echo Pappilon Hotel.The staff were lovely and always were quick to respond to our requests for towels and toilet paper. They were happy, polite, and did their best.However, we had a few issues. We were put in a room on the right side of the building with an 11-year-old. The bar opposite played live music until 11 p.m. While we understand people want to have a good time on holiday, this was a downside for us. We would not have booked this hotel if we had known about the noise.Another issue was the noise in the corridor. The doors were ‘paper thin’, so conversations sounded like they were in our room. The room had French windows and from the design side was very gappy, so sound got in through that.The hotel itself was also run down. The images you may see on Google, Booking.com, etc., hide the dated, dirty, damaged, and run-down décor.After one night, we decided to leave early and go back to Kuta. The staff were concerned about our early departure, which I felt showed they cared. However, I felt they must know that the hotel has an issue and we aren’t the first to complain.They offered us a back room (which is more money) for a ‘free upgrade’, but I feel people should be warned about the noise beforehand, especially those with young children. I have also read reviews where others have complained about the noise over the years. Why hasn’t the hotel installed better soundproofing with the windows?

Service was great! Spacious and clean! The different pools were great too and good location.

We really loved our stay at papillon echo beach hotel, nice & helpful staff, fresh and good breakfast and perfect location in the heart of Canggu, few mins walk to beach.Totally value of money :)

They have a pub bar right in the other side of the street and they sing until late. You can hear everything in the room.

Very Nearby to Echo beach, labrisa . crntralky licated in canggu and easily accessible to all locations.The hotel has a very good restaurant. Must try Shashuka, dragon fruit soothies bowl.

Everything was amazing! Few steps from the beach front and La Brisa! Request a room at the inner most of the facility to avoid road noise and bar noise at night! Overall would recommend and book again.

Great location - oasis in the centre of busy Canggu, couldn’t hear the road noise at all Pool was the perfect temp - not too heated, not cold at all.

Great location and facilities, pool was also nice, room a little aging with furniture but is standard for Bali. We did enjoy the restaurant and the staff at reception. Great prices for food at the hotel!

Very clean and comfortable, very close to the beach. Bed was very big and comfortable. Very clean and tv works too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only thing I can fault is that the door was hard to lock and remained slightly open even when locked.

Very nice, quiet place, 5 min walk from the beach. Restaurants, bars, supermarkets, shoos, spa nearby. I love t!

Property was located just beside the beach, close to all cool beach bars and also not so far away from all the iconic restaurants:)

Rooms were quite small and breakfast was not as i expected, i am allergic to chicken and there were days when there was no other options.

Great location! beach just down the road. Walking distance to lots of restaurants & bars, la brisa 1 min walk. Staff lovely & friendly, stayed in pool room, it was very clean with a comfortable bed.

Very noisy at night, staff are not up to standard, there is no exhaust fan in bathroom.

The hotel is near beach and a beautiful, stylish beach club La Brisa with ATM. Breakfast buffet was nice for 75K, but I would have liked real milk for coffee and bacon with eggs. Still no problem! I was happy, that it was easy for my daughter to walk to the beach to take surf classes.

Noise from the sports bar across the street, which lasted every day till 23.00. Just too loud! Pool area was ugly and loied very worn out.

The pool area was very cute.

The bar is very loud which is near the hotel and you can hear the noise all evening. The room would need a update, especially bathroom. The breakfast was not good.
