Pros +
- The breakfast buffet was nice and the ability to order a hot entry was appreciated. The room was awesome, especially the outdoor bathroom. My husband really enjoyed the diving and the dive center in general. The pool was amazing. The grounds were very well cared for. The dinner menu was good but we were only here for four nights and ate out for two. The spa was beautiful and well worth the money. Services were plentiful and enjoyable. A restful four days in beautiful surroundings.
- The location is amazing, the tranquility, the staff, the diving center. Everything was so clean and well maintained. The diving center is very organized. The honeymoon package at the spa was out of this world. (Just the name, we were not on our honeymoon :))
- Beautiful property right on the water with infinity pool. However the beach front is not for swimming. The rooms were very spacious and clean.
Cons -
- The lunch menu should be different than the dinner menu and the lunch options at the poolside were very limited. Options for wine are limited but note that this was common all over Bali. Found the restaurant staff a little cold compared to what we experienced everywhere else in Bali, including the rest of the resort. Not much within walking distance so we kept mostly to the resort.
- You'd really have to twist my arm to think of something, but if I really have to: if you stay a week or longer, the breakfast options become a little monotonous. Still, the quality is very good!
- In the middle of nowhere. Have to travel 20-30 minutes to get to restaurants or anything else. Drivers & scooters more expensive from hotel. If you wish to stay here and only stay at the resort it’s okay for just that if you want to relax by the pool. Staff was just okay. Food & drinks not great & very expensive for this area. Says it’s a 4 star resort but I’d say it’s more like a 3 star.

All was perfect. Resort is very clean, all details are perfect. Food is fresh and delicious. The swimming pool is clean and deep. The coral reef is nice. The diving school is well organized. All equipment is double checked. Very safe . This resort is very quiet and real getaway. The resort is good for adults . Deep beautiful sea and deep swimming pool - perfect place to enjoy the beautiful nature , snorkeling and diving .
I liked all.
Staff are friendly and polite. I appreciate the Yoga class arranged by the resort, and love the chance to snorkel.
Spa closes quite early for the last appointment and certain package must be booked in advance eg. signature.
Incredibly pristine resort. The staff do an incredible job of keeping the grounds manicured. An incredibly comfortable and spacious villa. The staff were super friendly! We had everything we could want or need during our stay. Quite luxurious.
Well kept grounds, great pool and nice massages.
Food could be much more authentic - currently mainly catering for European/western clientele. Some guest are noisy at the pool area (playing their own music) and staff did not attempt to ask them to lower their volume.
it was already my second stay and my mother and I enjoyed it very much! The ocean, the beauty of the resort, the friendly people, the food – it's a little paradise! And if you consider a diving course - this is the place to do it! But also "only" swimming or relaxing or as a place from where you do other activities, it is just the right place. Especially the yoga classes (which are free) right at the ocean are a bliss! Thank you, suksuma!
What we liked:•Stunning natural surroundings with lush tropical greenery.•Excellent food – high-quality, delicious, and well-prepared dishes.
No Balinese atmosphere, very rigid and rule-driven environment.•Mold and damp smell in the bungalows – we checked three different ones, and all had the same musty odor.•Strange restaurant policies: no dining between 2 PM and 6 PM, and no eating on sunbeds.•Excessive rules everywhere – many signs telling guests what they can/cannot do.•Pool closes at 6 PM, and guests are asked to leave, even if they are still using the facilities.•Prices are significantly overpriced compared to the rest of the island, both for food and spa services – twice as expensive as other hotels.
This resort in Tulamben offers a peaceful and well-maintained stay, perfect for those looking to dive and unwind. The bungalows are simple yet spacious, clean, and surrounded by a relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to disconnect from the hustle and bustle. One of the most memorable parts of the stay is the sunrise yoga. Practicing yoga as the sun rises over the ocean creates a calming and refreshing start to the day, making it a must-try for anyone staying at the resort.
The food at the restaurant didn’t quite meet my expectations. As a local, I was hoping for bold, vibrant flavors, but the taste leaned more towards a Western palate, even for the local dishes. I tried both lunch and dinner, but the flavors felt muted compared to authentic Balinese cuisine.
Very beautiful hotel with great views from every bungalow. The well located bungalows provide privacy. Rooms are spacious, mattresses are comfortable. Wonderful pool, easy descent to the sea, snorkeling opportunities with pretty fish. Diving is probably not bad but we didn't try it. Yoga in the morning and during the day, not a bad SPA. Friendly staff. The Manager meets every guest and it's nice. Could probably be a great place for a retreat for 2-3 days..
But. Our vacation was ruined.#1: the bungalow had a huge number of bugs that were falling from the ceiling. In the morning the bed looked like a sandbox. Yes, Bali is a tropical island, but choosing Siddhartha, we chose a 4* hotel and didn't expect to sleep in an anthill. The Manager agreed with the problem and offered to move to another bungalow where the bugs were 30% less.#2: strong musty smell in the room. We brought it home and it can only be removed only by dry cleaning. From every thing.#3: to fix the clog in the sink, we waited 3 days.#4: the food in the restaurant is awful. We tried many dishes. At the same time, what “yesterday” was simply not tasty, “today” could be absolutely awful. Breakfast is meager + surprisingly tasteless fruit. Considering the location, this problem is really difficult to solve. We were offered to go to the only available cafe 1,5 km from the hotel. We took the advice and met there a lot of hotel residents who, like us, “liked” the restaurant in the hotel.#5: very overpriced. Relative to similar locations in Bali, the prices are 2 times higher. Food in the restaurant at European prices. SPA services too.#6: in view of the problems noted, we decided to leave early, which we informed in advance. And here another disappointment awaited us - after agreeing with all the problems mentioned, the Manager said “I'm sorry, but others likes” and refused to refund for the days of non-stay. It's not good to the customers because we left early not because it's a caprice, but because of real hotel problems that management recognizes.#7: the quality of the staff is not bad. However, compared to other 4* hotels in Bali on the same trip, the quality is loses out.The distant location of the hotel does not involve going off-site. You have to be prepared to spend several hours on the road to move to any location.
Everything - the pool bungalows, the way it’s all laid out to give each bungalow privacy. The chefs were great and the dive centre was very organised and safety conscious
As a solo traveller it was little hard to connect with people and it was a bit remote so no options to go out and mingle locally
Beautiful resort with a fabulous pool. Swimming in the ocean out the front was fantastic. Barbara the manager was exceptional, personal greeting and farewell. Loved yoga and meditation and lots of times to suit everyone. Our included breakfast was delicious and plentiful
I have been to the area for a few times but could not find a place like Siddhartha. I like that the resort is very well managed. The best thing is you don’t need to go out for good food as they have a professional kitchen that provides a wide range of cuisine.
I loved the spa (!), yoga shala and remote location. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurnat was tasty and I recommend the grilled sateys. I had a very comfy bungalow which was kept clean on daily basis. Thanks to free yoga sessions I was able to meet other solo travellers and we are still in touch :).
All was good. I would update the drink menu in the bar.
Nice resort. Very nice lobby and the rooms were comfortable too.
Cannot snorkel. The resort is located in a rocky beach and it’s not easy to navigate into the ocean. The boats and guides are reserved solely for the divers. I got caught between the ropes and the boat and sprained my wrist. Terrible to zero facilities for snorkeling!
The staff was reeeeeally helpful and friendly! We really appreciate all the support they offered. Couldn't imagine such a nice team! We loved scuba diving there and yoga class! All the staff are really really friendly.
The AC was not cooling. We tried to informed the reception and they send someone really fast to fix it, but didn't work. I think it's not strong enough for the room size.
Stunning sunrise sat down by the pool, Great food, super friendly staff and really comfy beds.
Some item not purchased were on our invoice. This is a very minor detail as our stay was perfect and it resolved immediately.
Beautiful hotel and gardens. Very kind and helpful staff
Evenings very quiet with nothing to do
Huts are in a good distance from each other so your neigbours dont disturb your relaxation
Less food options, more sophisticated menu and drinks would be better. Bedroom size is small no enough space for luggage. Breakfast options are quite average and nothing special. No healthy options
