Darmada Eco Resort

This place is a gem, nestled in the jungle on the Telaga river near Sideman. It's quiet and tranquil and service is impeccable. The food was delicious and there was lots of variety; I have allergies and staff made a big effort to make sure food was safe for me to eat. Our room was spectacular. There was a very nice pool. We were also able to get all our laundry done in 24 hours. The resort is remote, though, and a taxi dropped us off and fetched us at the end of our stay.

Its a lovely setting, the river is great, the breakfast was great, and the pool was a very nice setting. The gardens are amazing. The restaurant was reasonable.

Its a bit isolated. Unless you are happy to stay at the resort there's not a great deal to do in the town. The bathroom was a little unusual - its a open air bathroom which is normal for Bali, but the shower area/toilet are only a few feet away from the next door outdoor sitting area. Not enough water provided in the room.

Food was average and we were dependent on every meal. I had a massage which was average

The location is superb! Right on the river and also a smallish spring. The rooms and decor are delightful especially the beautiful tiles.I had a superb massage with Novita!

More drinking water please!! One small jug is not enough even for one person and my room was far from the restaurant. The food was sometimes good and sometimes barely passable. I was pretty disappointed with some of the dishes I ordered and also the staff, especially young males were quite sullen and almost seemed to resent having to work. The ladies were usually friendly but not like in other parts of Bali. Can we have mosquito coils for outside please!

This is the place to be if you want to stay close to nature and relax. I loved sitting beside the river and enjoy the sound of water rushing by. Breakfast was good however, lunch and dinner was a bit bland.

Location and layout of the bathroom. Partitions need to be higher to maintain privacy.

Holy moly the grounds were spectacular.The rooms were amazing , the bathroom was to die for.The location was great if you are looking for a serene getaway. I could not believe the white noise of nature. If I could add a video I would. We only stayed one night but would loved to have hoping a yoga class.Food was good as well, Bali standard.

Our stay was too short, wish we could have enjoyed it longer.

We booked the villa by the river and the view was nothing like it ! you can hear the relaxing sound of the river and enjoy the most beautiful view.. also the villa is quite spacious with a pantry. The place is a big resort and has some activities like yoga and cooking classes I would recommend the private yoga class very much. The restaurant is also good opens all the time from breakfast until the evening. The resort has some chilling spots by the river it very serene

The hot stays for less than 2 minutes reported this issue but was not fixed they said hot water is running fine also the smell of the bed sheets and pillows , I also had this reported and were changed but didn't leave a good impact about the villa cleanness . It's an ECO villa by the river it's natural to find some insects around but the are too many ants in the room and this should be controlled a little bit,, also the room smelled a bit musty

The resort is stunning and very well cared for, yet feels natural and blends perfectly into the surroundings. We stayed in the two-bedroom villa with a small infinity pool overlooking the river – the view and sounds of nature made our stay unforgettable. Traveling with our 1.5-year-old daughter was easy here: there are no stairs, and we could use the stroller on the stone paths. The location is great – Sidemen is small enough to walk across in about 30 minutes, and the hotel sits right at the edge of the rice fields, which are magical for morning walks. The restaurant was excellent, the staff kind, and the spa wonderful.

There isn’t a gym, but with the beautiful scenery and open spaces we enjoyed doing our workouts outdoors, which was even better.

This hotel was very unique. I loved the outdoor pool and day bad and being right on the river. The room was spacious and the outdoor bathroom was excellent! I got very sick and the staff took very good care of me and they were so kind and very beautiful souls! I am so grateful.

Loved being on the river and yet it was really loud and the room was dark.

Wow. If you came all the way to Bali and only stayed here, it would be worth your trip. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The restaurant was amazing. The location was perfect. The room was so grand. The staff were incredible. My massage was wonderful. I cannot be more grateful for this stay.

Beautiful place along side the river. The cabins (not that many)are set in a huge lush and well kept garden. Lovely spa is on the property. Good restaurant, wonderful breakfast.

We had such a nice time at Darmada Eco Resort – it’s a quiet and beautiful spot right in the middle of nature. We loved the peaceful vibe and didn’t even need to go out for meals because the food at the resort was good. The room was clean and taken care of every day. When my son didn’t feel well, the reception staff were super kind and quickly helped us get to a nearby clinic. Really grateful for their support. Thanks for making our stay so smooth and comfortable!

The wifi wasn’t very reliable

The peacefulness and our gorgeous villa. We always choose a quiet place to relax at the beginning of each visit to Bali and Darmada was just perfect. Within minutes of arriving, our whole family all individually said we didn’t want to leave the resort during our stay, and that’s exactly what we did (except for our girls who went to a silver jewellery making class)

At first the sound of the river felt loud but soon we realised how therapeutic it was. And slept like babies.

One of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Villas surrounded by beautiful gardens, boulder filled river and gurgling streams. The spa has a menu of massages, there is yoga, cooking classes and many other facilities. Staff and owner are lovely. So glad we chose this place.

A wonderful location and friendly staff. Great food, beautiful surrounds and gorgeous rooms.The grounds were extremely well kept and tidy, it was a little disappointing though that the river wasn't given the same loving attention, especially where the rivulet passed through the grounds by the cottages.I spent time the first day filling a large bag with rubbish from that part of the river.We had 2 massages whilst we were there also, whilst one masseur was wonderful, the other was unfortunately an uncomfortable experience and she seemed very inexperienced.

We booked the riverside villa for 3nights and had an amazing time. Beautiful views of the river, we even got to see locals taking a swim daily. The pool was clean, aircon in bedroom and living room worked great, electric mosquito plugs provided but not too many mosquitos around. The staff were super friendly and helped us with booking a massage, and scooter. Thank you to the girls at reception who took care of us. Lots of restaurants with beautiful views nearby, highly recommended you hire a scooter it's much easier to get around. Very close to Sidemen Rice terrace also. We picked up supplies from a mart just up the road. Overall, the best place we've stayed in Bali. Highly recommended you experience this, it's even more beautiful than the photos!
