Hotel Tugu Bali, Canggu

The staff were so helpful.

Hotel Tugu Bali is an exceptional, relaxing experience that takes you back to old Bali. the rooms are designed and decorated in the historic manner, the staff is truly amazing, food is superb. This is not a party hotel- it’s a serene getaway to truly relax and recharge.

We enjoyed the food, the Service and the location. We were minutes away from the beach and from many local restaurants. Our room was cleaned a few times a day and whenever we asked for anything, they were prompt. We enjoyed the traditional dance and the terrace view!

The washrooms and the grounds were dated. They are updating their spa facility.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The rooms, the grounds, just stunning. The staff are so lovely and friendly!

Sadly they were renovating the roof while we were there. We had no idea about this at the time of booking, so there was a lot of noise during the day and we couldn't really use the pool as it was right next to the roof they were constructing.Another thing which is outside the control of the hotel is it is a few steps away from 2 bars/clubs that have music blaring until 5am every night.Lots of mozzies get into the room, so use bets and mozzies spray.

Breakfast was good. They delivered it to the room and I was able to order as much as I liked. Taste was good too.

The hotel was under renovation and maintenance was not that great. The lobby was entirely inaccessible, reducing the charm of the hotel. I wasn't informed about the renovation. When I told them about my dissatisfaction they gave me two hours of complimentary massage as compensation.I also ended up paying double for taxi service as I was wrongfully assisted by staff.

The location is exceptional, also the staff…they will do everything possible to make your stay A1

It is old although very well maintained. Some renovations also underway although they kept noise to a minimum.

The comfort, the location, the calm

There were some construction /maintenance next to the swimming pool area so it was noisy but a hotel staff asked for a 1 hour stop so that I could enjoy the peaceful atmosphere

1- Fast wifi2- Large room 3- Mini bar and some fruits

1- Unbearably slow check-in2- Impossible to sleep in the room due to party music from nearby cafes. Lasted from 2pm to 2am. It is not hotel’s fault, but nevertheless important to mention.3- Sheets were dirty and had a “damp” smell, very unpleasant4- Staff seemed a bit lost and uncoordinated5- A few ours after I checked into the room, a male staff member just entered my room. I cannot possibly imagine what they needed, but I asked them to just close the door.6- Price is ridiculous for what you are getting. Will not be staying again.

The uniqueness and aura of the whole place, such a beautiful setting, all of it

The paving at the plunge pool area, quite difficult to get in and out of the water (at our age)Also the low sunk path made it difficult for us oldies to get in and out with nothing to hang onto

Everything! The grounds are absolutely stunning - so beautiful to get lost in. Very close to the beach and easy walking distance for everywhere in Canggu. My room was stunning, with an unforgettable bathroom! The pool is an oasis. Breakfast options are varied and all delicious. The beautiful spa and amazing treatment options were fantastic. All the staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home and are so welcoming and friendly and the traditional Bali dancing on Thursday nights is incredible!

Nothing! Everything was perfect

The hotel is sublime. Our room was exceptional, vast with its own pool. The bathroom was out of this world- a thatched awning surrounded by a moat of goldfish. A large, tiled, sunken bath with cascading shower above. We were treated like royalty and didn’t want to leave.

It is so nice to see this hotel.It is the oldest in Canggu and we had an amazing tour about its history.It is very nice to stay here a couple of days.The staff went above and beyond for us.Thank you so much.We also loved the location: just 30 meters to the beach.

Balinese style all around, the rooms have a real wow effect, bed is crazy comfy and the terrace where you can enjoy the sunset from… that place is a little gem!

It felt authentic. Noisy at nights but location close to everything.

Management was lacking. Really nice receptionists but they had to ask everything to ‘the manager’, but the manager was nowhere to be seen, may have been a ghost.Managing issues all around, for instance there’s a beautiful pool but when I got thirsty hanging out at the pool, the staff sent me to the upstairs restaurant to get a glass of water in my bikini…

The accommodation was beautiful. The staff were friendly. The yoga was great. Fish pond in our open bathroom was a special touch.

Tugu is amazing. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful with what ever you need. They have some of the best restaurants on the beautiful property.

The room key can be difficult to transport the key. You’ll need a small bag to carry it.

great location and a hotel coupled with modern facilities and traditional authentic culture. Restaurants and food exceptional.huge room with its own pool was fabulous. close to beach bars, sports bars .

The hotel has no Gym.

Old world charm and very friendly and accommodating staff.Dinner at the on site IWA restaurant was amazing.Loved the outdoor shower

Suggest you avoid staying on a Saturday night; local clubs nearby meant we needed to use the the hotel provided ear plugs.
