Nunu Bali Eco Friendly Retreat

Everything at Nunu is amazing. The gardens, daily yoga, cultural workshops, delicious restaurant, multiple pools, wonderful staff and cozy rooms.

It’s a little far from Canggu but easy to rent a scooter to go explore.

I had a great stay at this hostel. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and I really enjoyed the common area and the nightly events, the kindness of the staff, I'd definitely recommend it.

The only area for improvement would be a more thorough cleaning regime.

Bed is comfy, with locker, beautiful open-air bathroom , homey ambiance, a lot of free activities

No fridge to store food, no basic kitchen for quick cooking, a bit far from the center

Comfy bed, perfect for retreat, swimming pool and restaurant in the property, free activities everyday, helpful and responsive host. Grateful for the concern, they took care of me while I was sick and recovering.

No kitchen and no fridge, would be nice esp if guest stay longer ; a bit far from the center but accessible by grab/gojek rides

Beautiful and super peaceful. The staff and the owner are friendly and always attentive. Sound of the river, nice pools. They have a restaurant with really good options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Activities and yoga! Hopefully we can come back soon! Suksma ✨???

Like a heaven. Very clean, very comfy, beautiful garden, chic bathroom, delicious food lovely staff. Quiet peaceful place, good for time for yourself and mediation. Don't come if you are in party mood.

I loved the entire resort, it provided the space and vibe to reset, focus on whatever I needed (solitude and and a chance to reset), and also the option to join activities and connect with other guests. The food was fantastic - so if you don't have a scooter, there are options! I loved the location, just not having a scooter made it a little difficult. I do think the sacrifice of convenient location is worth it. The remote-ness makes you feel like you are truly enjoying the landscape and culture of Bali. A nice break from the hectic Canggu city center.I had the best time! So grateful to have had an affordable rest/resort experience.

Beautiful retreat, lovely staff, amazing food, comfy beds even in the dorms, yoga in the morning, ice bath, wonderful massages and impeccably clean. Best place I found so far in Bali and the price is more than fair, including for the food.

I only came to Bali for a week to rechage, rest up and enjoy yoga sessions daily. This place exceeded my expectation. Super quiet, surrounded by well maintain tropical garden. I didn't only appreciate location and facilities, but staff was amazing too. Did I mention the food? I think I've tried almost everything on the menu from me 10 out of 10! Thank you Nunu Bali Eco Friendly Resort for having me. I will come back when I need to 'recharge my batteries' again ? Namaste ?

Beautiful grounds, friendly helpful staff, on site yoga and other daily activities. Great place to go if you want to relax and do nothing

It was more remote than I realized and rained most of the time which meant activities were canceled including walks to the waterfall which I was looking forward to. It also meant there were limited food options, especially being vegan. I read the menu beforehand and saw that there was decent coffee but the "latte" turned out to be instant coffee (not even the delicious finely ground instant Balinese coffee) and some not very good plant-based milk which felt purposely deceptive, bad instant coffee and milk doesn't make a latte by any definition! I also tried the chia pudding which I make myself and order frequently and it was awful, thick thick peanut butter with heavy coconut cream. The small communal kitchen allows you to prepare your own food but need to get a grab or rent one of their motorbikes to get groceries.

Loved the space at this place. The yoga room and comfy chairs. The pools were nice and the outside pullup bar and Kettlebells where an add bonus

It is a little out the centre but this was maybe more of a positive away from the busy places of Canguu

A beautiful retreat hostel away from the hustle and bustle of Canggu, the hostel offered a free activity every day plus yoga every morning which was fairly priced. There was a lovely restaurant on site and great communal areas to socialise. We stayed in the treehouse and it was so beautiful.

The pool was a luke warm temperature and during the hot days we wished it was cooler. In the treehouse there was no fridge and bathroom was down the stairs which was difficult during the night time.

Quiet area, friendly community of travelers, tasty food. The daily activities were great - I learned a lot at the Sarong ceremony.

Strange entrance down an alley had me concerned I was in the wrong place. Booking.com address led the driver to the wrong place. Google maps was correct.

It was a Yoga retreat , great healthy meal options. Yoga available twice a day.Like minded fellow travellers. Quiet peaceful village location. Extra comfortable bedding. Clean accommodation. Garden and facilities well presented. Enjoyed my stay!

Great place to meet more chill travelers, be outside the main busy centres, and have a more authentic experience.

Ordering grabs could be a challenge from here, but you can do it.

Great facilities, dreamy setting, rice field views, great food, amazing staff and guests, well thought activities. I’d go there again and again.

It’s kind of far from the center, which can be an advantage depending on what you’re looking for.

Staff are amazing, really helpful and friendly. Food options are great, lots of vegan and vegetarian options and everything is fresh?Yoga classes twice a day and a free activity to take part in everyday, was a nice touch ?Loved being deep in rice fields with all the wildlife, very picturesque ?

This little place has so much potential but comes with a few issues for me. The treehouse needs a deeper clean, particularly in the corners and on the ceiling, it would significantly improve the overall experience. We encountered a small gecko during our stay, and unfortunately, it left droppings on the bed sheets. The lack of a mosquito net made for an uncomfortable night's sleep due to several bites.The bathroom below the treehouse had a noticeable musty smell from the humidity, which unfortunately impacted the smell of our toiletries. I'm not sure what can be done about this due to the weather but it's certainly not pleaseant And finally, the coffee was not so good. It didn't taste like coffee ☹️

The vibe at Nunu is great! I met great connections there with other guests, who I’ve continued travelling with. They have activities every day to participate in. Nice to have the option of two pools, although only used one. Lots of common areas, insect repellent provided, beautiful gardens and the staff were all really friendly. It had a nice family atmosphere. Being able to photograph birds from my two balconies in the morning (treehouse style room). Also, lots of animal friends on the property, cat, chicken, turtles, occasional dog from owner. Food from the kitchen was all delicious, I really liked the protein bowl and açai bowls. Nice to be in a small village next to the rice patties and out of the Canggu crazy.

Room was small, no fridge, no mosquito net and no breakfast included. I paid a decent amount of money for a private joglo which wasn’t cleaned daily. Apparently I had to ask, but I’ve paid less in Bali and had daily cleaning without having to ask. Geckos pooping on my bed (thankfully at the foot end). Bathroom was downstairs (which I knew), but the stairs were really steep, so navigating them half asleep for the toilet in the middle of the night wasn’t ideal. It was very mouldy and fungus growing from the bathroom cabinet, and trails of ants at different times of the day. I thought daily yoga classes were free for guests, so got a surprise when they were 120k when I paid my bill. Location is limiting if you don’t ride a scooter, there’s no nearby minimart in walking distance, so reliant on their food or Grab/Gojek.

Its very aesthetic. Give a good insight into Balinese culture.

There are a lot of lizards and insects (understandably since its in the middle of a paddy fields)
