    Pros +

    • I liked the ocean.
    • The staff was very courteous and helpful. The stay was pleasant as there weren't too many tourists while we were there. The food and drinks were great. Bed was comfortable and the mosquito nets are essential.
    • Nice staff, location and cool scubadiving

    Cons -

    • I didn’t like that they refused to meet me halfway when I asked for a refund for one night, because my mother was bitten by some insects in the bed during the night and we had to urgently go to the hospital.I contacted both customer support and spoke directly with the staff, but the answer was no.I even suggested that they could at least cover the taxi to the hospital, but they said they wouldn’t do that either.Overall, considering that there were insects in the bed, I feel very sad and disappointed that they didn’t show any understanding and instead said it was my fault for leaving earlier, not theirs.
    • Way too many mosquitoes inside and outside. The bathrooms are not well maintained, walls are chipping, toilet is stained. Bathroom walls are open on top which allows mosquitoes to come inside. Water flow is slow. Hot water gets over in 5 minutes.
    • Great spot, nice staff, and awesome scubadiving. HOWEVER, not very clean and I found out the hard way! Wife and I stayed there just two nights, right after getting back from Labuan Bajo. Really wanted to try scuba diving my entire life. Anyway, we were exhausted from the 3 hr drive from Denpasar and after traveling all day. My wife said the bed didnt look very clean, but we were both exhausted and we slept. Next morning we woke up and had a fine day, although we were both itching a bit. Thought it was just mosquito bites. Anyway, by the end of that day, i was itching down there (private area) and then started to have burning pain when urinating. Once I showered that night, noticed a bunch of red bumps all over, especially on my private area. We left to go to our next stay in Uluwatu and immediately went to Hospital because the bites down there (and discomfort) got worse for me. Diagnosis came back; mite bites, i.e. SCABIES! ?. Never had an issue like this in my entire life and I am 38 y/o and am a VERY clean person. As is she. The Dr. Said it was from the hotel as soon as we told him the situation. my wife didn’t get it (down there) because she sleeps with clothes on and I sleep naked…and thank GOD we didn’t get intimate after arriving there because she would have caught it as well and I would have even been more outraged! Suffice to say, it essentially ruined the rest of our trip. No intamacy, no more fun. Just dealing with getting rid of them!?. Cleanliness is awful here. A nice place besides that…..

Garden, pool area, beach access and views are great and worth it. It’s a quiet environment far from the busy Amed. Friendly staff, either restaurant or diving. Bed comfortable.

The rooms need renovation, to paint furniture, toilet old and without soul. Cabinet in room too close to the bed frame that makes access difficult. Curtain needs to be washed, doorknobs replaced, drawers fixed, more lights in the toilet.

You wake up right beside the sea. Location is very good. Extremely friendly staff and good food!

The beds were very simple, not meant for really long stays

Great services proposal such as scuba dive, massages, laundry, scooter rental, taxi and restaurant. Staff was adorable and super helpful. The hotel is set on a beautiful bay with a magical view.

The rooms do need a little maintenance and there are many bugs inside the rooms. They were super helpful and changed us to a room with a mosquito net to avoid worrying about that.

The place is really a corner of heaven far away from the chaos of everything. It really allows you to forget the world for as long as you stay there. Staff was super friendly, and there were services for all my needs. I had a massage, food at the restaurant was super good both at breakfast and dinner, and as I wished to do a trip to some monuments and temples, they organised a guided tour for me even recommending me which places to visit. Only thing to improve were some stains on curtains of the room and that’s it. For the rest super and I would definitely would like to come back.FYI consider the position: it is a bit remote if you want to travel a lot around the island - possible to do but maybe not the easiest

The grounds and setting (right on the coast) are spectacular. I loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean, and going for sunrise swims every morning. I can’t recommend it enough if you have your own transport (as it’s in Talumben, which is about 15 mins drive from Amed) and want to switch off. The staff are also very sweet.

The rooms are comfortable enough, but dated and run down. With this in mind, the nightly rate is ambitious. The price for food is excessive too, especially with the 21% tax and 3% surcharge for card payments added on.

Very very nice setting of the entire place and friedly stuff! Nice beach without boats, clean.

    Extra tax on price list.

Location on the beach and friendly staff.

The whole place is outdated. The rooms are small and full of mosquito’s! There were no mosquito nets. Both our small children woke up the next morning full of mosquito bites. We also found lice in the bed. Sunbeds are rotten away. This place needs some serious renovation. I think the owners do not care about this place…. Plaster coming off the wall. The pictures they show on booking.com are old pictures and do not show the current condition. If i knew this before hand I wouldnt have booked it. Really dissapointing!

    The view of the ocean.

This place is way over priced for what it is. Our room was not clean when we arrived. There was gecko poo all over the floor and the sheets had an awful mouldy musty smell. Perhaps the room had not been used and no one had bothered to check the state of it before we checked in. The toilet was also leaking water all through the bathroom. The towels were so old and thin, need to be replaced. The pool for Bali standards is very bland and has no appeal to it. I asked for the room to be cleaned and the sheets changed as I could not sleep with the smell of them. Staff did do this, but whatever they mopped the floor with made the room smell like wet dog and wee. We had to air the room out afterwards which then meant letting all the bugs in. The flies here were also horrendous, there were so many of them everywhere! Just way too expensive for what we received.

This was a good location for a family, with 2 completing Advanced Scuba course and 2 having a relaxing time snorkelling and laying about.Staff in dining area were lovely

The rooms need upgrading. A small fridge should be a must.

Great beachfront location with views of Mt Agung. Very serene and relaxed environment. Friendly staff and delicious food from restaurant.Would not hesitate to book again or recommend Scuba Seraya to others.

Very nice and quiet resort to have a relaxed time by the sea. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The diving masters were really good !

The food, it is maybe good according to western standards, but as someone with Malaysian roots I wish the food would have been more better. It’s also too bad that there is not many other things around so you basically have not much alternative. But owner and staff are all very helpful and friendly.

Wonderful small resort in the quiet area of Tulamben with a beautiful view. One is able to enjoy the sunrise, even from own terrace of the villa. The view was amazing. The pool was clean and the property is nicely designed and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and nice at all times, also cared for laundry and tour quide arrangements. Local meals have been very good, as well as breakfast. The room was always kept clean and was very spacious. The outdoor bathroom was very nice as well.

The rain shower isn't working properly, but wasn't too dramatic. I personally liked the local meals better than pasta etc. but that's subjective. The massage was done in front of the room, without providing much privacy, not even closing the mosquito net. Sure, there's not much around in the area, but I knew that before arrival, so I was fine with it.
