Kadewa Retreat Ubud - Adults Only

Kadewa Retreat was superb! A perfect little paradise in a quiet and secluded area outside Ubud.The road in is not fully sealed but our private drivers as well as a couple Grabs during our stay managed it fine.We stayed in one of the garden view villas which was perfect for us - great room with good aircon, and very private.There are a lot of stairs at Kadewa, so not a suitable venue if that is a problem for you - we had about 20-30 steps from the road/entrance down to our room, then another 20 or so down to the main pool and restaurant. From there, another 100 or so down to the river where the day spa was located, so we did only make that trip once! The restaurant and pool area was divine, with a stunning view across the valley with the river below. The breeze here was great, making it a great spot to sit and escape the heat any time of day. The restaurant menu was not super extensive, but more than enough variety for our 5 day stay and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal!

Very relaxing and chill

A little far from town. Make sure you negotiate a taxi ride home fee. One unknown driver was very shroud. But the drivers supplied by the hotel were great.

It's such a cozy and beautiful place. Our room was beautiful. Everything looks new. It's very clean and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. The pool is lovely and the massage therapist was very professional!

There is a short little road that leads to the hotel that is full of deep holes and very muddy after rain. It definitely needs to be repaired.

The location, and the staff

The road to the property is bad. Plus everytime you turn on the shower it smells like septic tank. I get it they use recycled water but that shouldn’t smell like taking shower in shit :)

It’s really nice, comfort and relaxing. Stuff is always ready to help, good villas with everything you need.

Amazing location for relax. Staff were very friendly, the property was amazing and the pool incredible. Massage was wonderful and the food delicious. I will go definitely again to this wonderful place. It was like a paradise.

The infinity pool the villas

The location and the view over the river amazing. The Bambu restaurant beautiful and the spa was ideally located so we could hear the water from the river below. The layout of the bedroom space very functional with adequate storage space & the small terrace & outdoor bath tub a plus. The staff very helpful, friendly & welcoming.

The access road to the property can be tricky on motorbike since it is the rainy season and the holes on the track were filled with water. It was strange not to have a reception area but the check in & check out still went out smoothly.

Food was delicious...infinity pool is amazing...staff extremely attentive

Flowers took time to replace after their use by date.....TV is very limited with only utube, otherwise you pay.

Staff was very helpful, swimming pool very nice and the room was very comfortable, the Google "Alexa" a good plus ;)

Location a bit far, which is not a big issue, only now a lot of new facilities being built around which is a bit spoiling the peacefulness of the place The last part of the road could use some renovation ;)

Road to the hotel is unpaved, they don't allow grab or gojak to go in so we had to walk in the rain to get to the venue.The whatsapp nr they gave us for local transport, which should be allowed to go in that road, never answered so we kept walking to the main road for transport during our stay.Upon arrival the toilet was leaking but got fixed within hours. So we could not rest as two people were working on the toilet. We went out, returned in the evening and had no hot water. Reception is not available 24h but we found someone who checked the heaters and fixed it. However we showered with cold water by then.Given the high price when compared to other locations in the area this is not what we were expecting.

We had a wonderful stay and especially enjoyed the river spa. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they made us feel very welcomed.

Dinner menu has small choice and it is just OK. There are small local places in the area with great quality

The neighbourhood is under construction

Location. Pools. River. Boutique feel.

Construction taking place on either side. Work begins at 8am. Management kindly moved me down the valley to a riverside villa which was more peaceful.

Incredible stay! Peaceful, clean and amazing setting. Staff are so friendly and the rooms are beautiful. Pool is clean and the whole place is maintained so well. Breakfast is yummy and massage on site was perfect. Cannot sing more praises over this place.

Not much in walking distance but it's easy to get into ubud centre with a moped so no problem!

Peaceful and serene location, close to a brook. 2 infinity pools had amazing views. Landscaping around the villas are spectacular.

Beatufil place with beautiful staff and amazing views. The staff is very kind and attentive!You can dine with views of the jungle from top of a cliff, the sound of the wildlife is like music, you can take a relaxing massage as well on an open cabin where you can enjoy the views and the wildlife noise.Also, the cabins where you'll stay are romantic and picturesque.Love the place!

As a suggestion, I would love if they could provide insecticide in spray to every guest. To many bugs in this country hahahaha.
