Amazing hotel , the location is outstanding, less than 5 mnts walk to the shopping street , underground station and walking distance to the forbidden city .

Not too many options of western dinning

The rooms and staff were fantastic, as were the amenities of the massage.

100% clean,i always couldn’t wait to come back to the hotel at the end of the day. The location was excellent. Hotel staff were absolutely warm and friendly, and always so helpful. The room was modern, spacious and cozy. We couldn’t hear anybody talking along the corridor or next door. It was peaceful and quiet.

The lobby was a little dark, perhaps a it should be a little bit brighter, other then that everything was perfect.

Beautiful and classy Art Deco style with Asian flourishes. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and the small gym had what I needed. Excellent location to walk to the Forbidden City and the bustling pedestrian shopping street was a black away. And brunch was fabulous!

I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, making it very convenient for shopping and sightseeing. The staff was friendly and spoke English quite well, which made communication smooth and easy. They were helpful and responsive to all our needs.The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, truly living up to the five-star standard. In the evening, staff came to replenish the amenities such as tea and coffee, which was a thoughtful touch. The toiletries provided were from Aesop, a premium brand, which aligned perfectly with the hotel’s luxury image.Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, definitely up to the expectations of a five-star hotel.

The Waldorf Astoria in Beijing is a beautiful, well-maintained property in the heart of the city. Rooms are spacious and up to date, with timely services and knowledgeable concierge. All of the amenities were A+, with gym and breakfast being the highlights. Definitely would recommend for a visit to Beijing.

There is nothing to complain about at this place, as the staff, facilities, and location are all world class. Only thing missing is a view, which is not due to anything the hotel could change.

Staff and facilities were brilliant. The breakfast was amazing and the staff went far and beyond to cater for our dietary requirements

Air conditioning in the room could have been better as the room was a bit warm and there was no way to put the temperature down to 18 Celsius

The service was great, and in an excellent location

The rooms are now in need of renovation. The beds are tired, the bathrooms are looking worse for wear and the floors are lifting and uneven. This hotel would have been amazing 15-20 years ago

The location of the hotel is very nice. The Bed was wonderful. I wish if I can buy the same bed matress :)The staff are so friendly. The view of the room/ size of the room/ cleanliness, everything was wonderful.

The chefs for breakfast makes the most perfect omelete and french toast ? Everything else was great, but the toilet with the electric WC was my favourite ?

Excellent service overall, in particular staff in western restaurant are amazing. Very good location being just 6-7 minutes walk from major shopping street.

Location was great near the main shopping area and forbidden city, bed was super comfy, but the hotel need renovation, elegant but old.Breakfast very expensive. All the staff need to be more fluent in English since China is a turest distraction

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Waldorf Astoria Beijing, and I must say, my experience was exceptional. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel’s restaurant. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming, and the service was impeccable. But what truly stood out was the quality of the food. The chef is incredibly talented, and each dish was a masterpiece. From the presentation to the flavors, everything was thoughtfully prepared and perfectly executed. I was impressed by the attention to detail in every course, and the culinary experience alone made my stay even more memorable.

It has convenient transportation and complete facilities, and holds cultural and historical significance. Jinyu Hutong used to be the Xianliang Temple where Li Hongzhang once stayed.

The room is warm and tidy, the service is attentive, the breakfast is delicious, and I had a really comfortable stay.

The facilities are advanced, the rooms are comfortable, the front desk service is excellent, and the security guards at the elevator area offer proactive services.

The Waldorf Astoria Beijing boasts exceptional facilities. Its luxurious rooms are equipped with top-notch amenities for ultimate comfort. The fitness center and spa offer a great way to relax and rejuvenate. The front desk staff are professional, always greeting guests with a warm smile and handling requests promptly. The concierge service is outstanding, providing excellent local insights and arranging seamless experiences. It truly sets a high standard for hospitality.

We have stayed at many so-called 5 star accommodations in China, but this is the first hotel to actually deliver. Staff throughout the the entire facility were solicitous, helpful, and smiling. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with many items made fresh to order and brought to the table. Staff were fantastic at the buffet rapidly supplying anything we asked for, and doing so with a smile. The rooms were fantastic: beautiful decor, lovely bathrooms, luxurious linens and all of it suffused with the rich fragnrances of Aesop toiletries. The spa and locker room facilities were clean and well supplied--the steam room was a wonderful treat. We were even able to enjoy a few minutes in the pool with no swim lessons! We are not really lap-swimmers, but enjoy a good dip, and have found ourselves frowned at in most Chinese hotel pools (pools are apparently for exercise, not fun!). Note to expats: BJ has a strict mandatory swim cap rule. Friendlier hotels will offer swim cap loans to foreign guests (not so friendly ones force you to buy caps if you want to swim--kids and adults alike!), but the Waldorf was kind enough to say nothing, allowing us to swim capless (imagine! The freedom!). Finally, hooray for massage therapist Angela, she was magnificent--a true luxury experience!

We came down to breakfast a little later on Sunday and it was clear that a late morning rush was taxing the hotel's staff: things were a little slower and a bit less personal, but some of the issue was the guests. Scarcity mentality knows no social bounds in China: we saw many guests rush into the buffet on Sunday with carryout containers! The hotel is clearly doing its best to accommodate these kinds of requests from its paying clientelle (overwhelmingly local Chinese), but it did make the buffet less enjoyable for those actually eating in the restaurant. Also--and we're not sure the reason for this--but the termperature of all of the showers throughout the facility could have been a little warmer. There was plenty of hot water--no cold showers here--but I would have been happier with an extra few degrees of heat. We did notice some repairmen on the street in front of the hotel peering into a steaming manhole, so perhaps there were some repairs going on?
