Grand Metropark Hotel Beijing

Definitely heating. I traveled to Beijing in 26-29DEC in wintertime and the heating here is very helpful. The location is not an ideal place for travel purposes, far from the center, and i cannot reach the metro station despite around 800m away, because of the cold. I chose the bus instead, and it took only 200m to bus station, anything else is good!

The hotel's location is near the CEIC (Chaoyang Area) and so was beneficial for me. The hotel has all the necessary amenities. The room was clean and the amenities in the room were apt. The breakfast was sumptuous - local fare primarily - and provided a wide choice. The concierge Team was awesome and very friendly.

I had an issue with communicating due to my language - Apple Translate utility helped a lot, but couldn't help in phone conversations with room service and housekeeping.The room service food was bland for my taste.The hotel had a foreign exchange conversion ATM - would accept only demonination of 100; not the best rate and a RMB 30 charge for every transaction.

The hotel room is spacious and clean. Good view from the internal balcony.Breakfast was so good and impressive, with a variety of foods.The location is good for those who come to the Exhibition Center nearby.

Some people smoke inside their room, even though we were in our room, we still smell of smoke from the other room., Hope they can manage people who are against the smoking rules.Staff are helpful, but I think they need to get essential English training.

The staffs are very helpful and hospitality. They even helped me cut a big watermelon into several slices and put them into two plates. Highly recommend to all guest to Beijing. They are also very budget friendly compared to other hotels. I would come again in the future if I travel here.

Booking with booking.com, it is a big mistake, they over charged you and if anything goes wrong the will not help with the issue and they will keep you money

Air conditioner was not working, instead of moving me to anothet room, they got me an old mobile unit which the staff member kept hitting to work. The room was hot and the second day the unit stopped working completely!

The hotel is good, modern. However, the room temperature is too hot at 30C, and the air conditioning doesn’t work because is not winter yet. This is very missing leading for advertising that the room has air conditioning. Yes, the room has air conditioning but you can’t turn it on. When I asked the hotel, the advise is open the window, however, the window is sealed glass, you can’t open it. What a joke!

Room was exceptional and very spacious.Great location, very central in the city .Rooms was very clean and well maintained during our stay. All the facilities in the hotel were of a very high standard.

The only issue i had was the swimming pool needs a bit of an upgrade. Found it a bit dark and gloomy.

Where do I begin? The staff upon check-in was extremely rude. Although I booked for my family, I was told the room was too small. The staff also used their key to walk right into the room instead of waiting 5 seconds to allow us to open the door. Nothing in the “mini bar” and my room was only cleaned 1 time out of a 6day stay. I would suggest as a foreigner—do not stay here.

They were able to take us in as we did a last minute booking, and it’s relatively affordable.

The hotel lobby’s entrance was a little weird. You have to take 2 separate lifts to get to your room with a short walk between each lift. The gym was undergoing renovations while we were there so didn’t get to use it.

The room was superb. You have all the things that you need. Location was easy to find also, but a little bit far from tourist attractions. Place is good for business gatherings. Clean was also a thing you will really love. They kept the rooms and other facilities clean and tidy all the time.

Staff that could not speak English is a sad thing. I expected that everyone can talk in English since it is recommended for foreign tourist. Also, you can improve the food choices. Maybe add more mixed cuisine, not all Chinese food :)

Staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast had a good selection. The rooms are very spacious too!

Some parts feel a bit run down. The swimming pool is nothing like how it is presented in the photos and seems open to clubs and the wider public? Inside the room there was some mould in the study area. It didn’t disturb me too much as it was far away from the bed.

We booked this hotel last minute, but it was a huge surprise! With our price, we expected a hotel at a lower level. The lobby is elegantly decorated, and our room has a nice city view. The breakfast had an enormous variety and was served in the beautiful lobby. Best of all, if you take a taxi to the capital airport, you cannot find better access to the airport expressway from the city center than this hotel. I've been rarely surprised by the value of money of hotels. This place is one of them.

The reception desk is on the first floor. It can be challenging to find, but once you get used to it, it's not a big deal anymore. The receptionists are very friendly and professional. We've really enjoyed our stay here.

Good location, convenient.The room is very good, beds are really comfortable. The air conditioner is a little bit noisy but works well. The staff is very helpful and some of them speak English very well.

The gym is well equipped but dirty and very hot. The devices were full of sweat and there was no alcohol or paper towels for cleaning. There was also no mineral water or towels.
