Hilton Garden Inn Beijing Temple of Heaven East Gate Station

My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Beijing was excellent from start to finish. Without a doubt, the biggest highlight of the hotel is the staff. Every employee was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive, always willing to help and making sure everything was perfect.In addition to the amazing team, the hotel offers excellent services that make the stay even better. The laundry facilities, gym, and copy/printing services are outstanding and extremely convenient. Everything is well organized and easy to use, which is a huge plus, especially for longer stays or business travelers.Overall, it was a fantastic experience thanks to the exceptional staff and the great facilities. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

Everything good

Everything is great. Staff is so friendly, they are always ready to help. Especially girls on daytime. They try to help even if you don’t speak chinese. Also the laundry service was great. Location was very nice, it’s located almost near to every tourist attractions.

The room was confortable and spacious…Breakfast was good.

For cleaning they can do better.

My first impression wasa bit disappointing as they front desk didn't have my reservation making me wait for almost an hour. After that incident, it was all uphill. The room was nice, clean and quiet. I have a marvelous view from my room. The laundry room was a welcome as I had to use it. The breakfast had option for everyone , a good mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian. I was also able to make special request for bfast

Bad smell in the rooms, bathroom door missing, wc not flashing properly, very difficult communication with the staff - nobody speaking English but the manager. Poor breakfast selection for western guests

Pay a room for 3 including breakfast but end up hotel say breakfast only for 1 person.

Free laundry, comfy bed, great cupboard with good number of hangers, bot that delivers your food deliveries, staff are generally friendly. Look the skewer restaurant opposite.

I would have given a better rating if i came to this hotel in a colder season. While i did not complain or tell the hotel, the aircon in the room was almost non existent. the room was in constant 27-28 degrees when it's like 25-30 degrees outside. like what's the point of having aircon when one does not use it? Unsure. Another thing is wifi is almost non existent in level 5, but somehow works really well in level 2 where washing machines were. Pretty disappointing in Asia standards when it comes to wi fi speed. Did not sleep well 3 nights in the 7 nights i was there. Kind of defeats the purpose of a hotel business if you cannot aid your guest to have a comfortable stay. Aside being very close to temple of heaven, is not central enough to anywhere else nor any convenience store whatsoever. but thank God there is excellent food delivery in China.

Overall, the hotel is good, but there are some really BIG cons. Let’s start with the pros first.Pros:1. Spacious and beautifully designed room, comfortable bed and pillows.2. Great breakfast - wide variety of Chinese and European options.3. Free laundromat.Cons:1. Terrible location. I don’t get why it’s rated so high. The only “close” metro station is 20mins away. There aren’t any cafes, supermarkets, restaurants nearby, except Starbucks and the disgusting Pizza Hut which can be entered from the lobby.2. It’s hot like hell! I couldn’t sleep well for the 5 nights I spent in this hotel, because the temperature in my room was constantly 28 degrees! There is AC controller on the wall, but the temperature cannot be adjusted. The front desk “explained” that the AC is central, but they cannot turn it on cooling mode because of the weather in Beijing in April. They offered me a fan, which didn’t help much…3. Strong cigarettes smoke in the hallway which entered my room.4. Totally inadequate and useless front desk staff. The biggest problem is not that they don’t know even basic English, but the total lack of hospitality. They just don’t give a **** about anything. I asked them to help me to order food on the day when the strong winds hit in Beijing, and their response was just “No”.

Comfortable bed and great breakfast. Staff are very friendly. I love the self laundry facility. However the aircon were not working the whole 5 nights we stayed. We were only advised that when we called the reception. Luckily it wasn’t very hot. We had to open the windows to get cool air when the room was too warm. Some part of the floor on the corridor was bubbled and wall was peeled. It makes the place look cheap. The bathroom is a little small. There’s hardly any space on the vanity for toiletries.

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Staff who do the cleaning of the room was very helpful too.

Clean and spacious rooms. Good facilities. Convenient location. Lovely staff. Good view from room as well.

Shower drain did keep getting blocked. No air conditioning so room was quite hot. No yoga mats in gym and running machine kept restarting every 5 minutes.

Comfortable bed, great pillows, wonderful bathroom, delicious healthy breakfast, good location, helpful staff and everything is super clean. They do EVERYTHING just right :)

We had the suite in the 8th floor, we pre-booked that and I highly recommend that for a nice experience.

The level of English the people speak is virtually nonexistent. Remember that you are in China and stay open of cultural differences.

We liked the most of the staffs, especially we were impressive by a manager who worked on the 19th, he helped us press the button for the elevator. The breakfast service including the staffs were phenomenal! I liked the cleaning service. Washer and dryer were great. Front desk staff who worked morning shift seemed more helpful and professional.

The first 2 nights when we checked in. We only had one room card due to overbooked, cause inconvenience. I needed to have front desk staff helped me access to the laundry room multiple times. Seems like front desk staff who worked at night shift were not willing to help? Or being straightforward? 1. The crib was not there when we checked in, we needed to call and asked for it even though I requested it when i booked. So I called them they told me they needed to check if they still had one available. Then the crib didn’t fit in our bedroom, which it sucks. That’s the major reason why I booked the hotel. And it the crib become useless because the crib cannot adjust the height for my toddler. He cannot sleep in the crib because of that (he would fall out of the crib even the mattress was only can be set in the middle of the crib) Wish the hotel could provide Pack n’ Play.

The selection of the buffet breakfast was good.The staff at the dining hall were very friendly.The cleaning lady of the floor, Ms. Wang, did great job and was friendly, professional, and enthusiastic.Majority of staff at the front desk were professional, friendly, and helpful.The hotel is fresh, and the room is clean and comfortable.

The room TV didn’t work properly most nights during my stay and couldn’t seem to be fixed. In the second morning of my stay, I went to the front desk reporting TV problem, a lone male staff of the front desk didn’t even raise his head and completely ignored me for quite a while. When he eventually talked to me, he still didn’t make eye contact and appeared not friendly.

Lackluster

We did not have any help carrying the luggage inside. We had just come to the hotel after a three hour flight and had no energy. None of the staff spoke English: they did not seem friendly or open. In the night, I asked for a small plate and the staff did not help me secure one.

Good room

We asked to serve a taxi to airport in the evening, there was a problem, no taxi, no help, horrible service

Clean, big rooms

Only one person speaks english, it’s very inconvenient for a hotel. We had a lot trouble to communicate

We did not impose high expectations but we were very impressed overall. The restaurants adjacent to the hotel and the accessibility were very good.

Not sure if it was just language barrier but when we asked about room service, we were told not available. Maybe because it was early morning when we called but they have a mini store at the lobby where you can buy snacks ( biscuits, cup noodles, drinks).
