    Pros +

    • location
    • The room
    • Comfy bed Quiet with no noise from neighbours Good location, walking distance to many shops, banks, Elizabeth quay etc Friendly and helpful staff Gym had a good amount of equipment

    Cons -

    • We were put in a room on a floor that just opned up. The T.V and the coffee maker did not work. We were then moved to another floor and all was good. They require a $100/night deposit even though the stay was prepaid. They made an error on the bill
    • There was nothing I disliked, it was a typical city centre, functional hotel. there was just nothing outstanding about it
    • The Friday night live music wasn’t on, and the live one bar outdoor area was booked out the whole time but it was still amazing

Fantastic location, within easy walking distance from trains and ferries, right in the heart of the CBD. We were greeted by friendly staff and a cold glass of champagne on arrival, whivh was lovely. The rooms are beautifully appointed with great views of the city. Beds are comfy and the bathroom toiletries were beautiful

I wasn't crazy on the fact that the toilet is in a room with glass walls so you can hear everything from the bedroom.

Breakfast was what I would rate as good. I have had much better with a full buffet offering a wider range of choice, however what was on offer was of good quality

No paid tv options, just boring channels for those of us that are in our rooms and not out on the town

    Overall good stay!

So funny that I mention that, but the a/c in the breakfast room is soooo cold, having breakfast is very uncomfortable. Also some of the concierge staff is not very knowledgable, for instance questions with regards the upcoming bike race and if a taxi ride might take longer, they had no clue. I expect a concierge knowing such things.

Breakfast, Location. Food at the connected restaurant.

Not as glamorous as you expect from an Inerterconti hotel. The room was not made up.

    7AraldPosted on: 1-3-2026

Standard room inside a shopping street. There are better options with nice views.

Breakfast service was poor. Long waits and forgetting part of the order each visit. The terrace does not look as nice as advertised on the photos. It is next to a standard busy shopping street.

    Fine

Our toilets smelt like cigarettes. The breakfast was subpar. The pancakes were just packet pancakes and arrived cold.

    Worst experience I’ve ever had...

Terrible service Room service meals arrived cold and incomplete No poolStaff new and poorly trained

The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and most helpful. We both have mobility issues and the staff were so kind and quick to respond if we needed help.We stayed in a club room which was very comfortable. The food and service in the club lounge was exceptional. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

    It was perfect

Knowledgeable staff and very attentive to our needs. Location is a real plus - the hotel is on a quiet street with plenty of great shops.

Overall we had an excellent experience. We found the room a little cramped with a somewhat odd layout with the bathroom right beside the front door.

    3VickiPosted on: 12-22-2025

It was quite central to the city. But, noisy

The 1.4 % charge on my debit plus card. The staff telling me I hadn't booked breakfast for my granddaughters when I had

    Very good

Just a pain checking out. They locked me out of my room, so had to go back and forth to collect luggage. Was rushing for a flight, so not helpful.

    8MarkPosted on: 11-25-2025

Very modern clean and well presented rooms. Staff were excellent and very attentive.

Parking out the front is challenging. A little confusing when exiting the lift to rooms but easy enough to find

I was initially told I had a room at the intercontinental & they took money out of my credit card $1104.00Then called me 20 mins later to say their booking.com made an error and had no room so tossed me to their sister hotel across the road at the holiday inn, that was $1669 a night $565.00 more than initial payment for intercontinental a 5 star & still waiting on that refund of $1104.00.The holiday in was noisey aircon all night made noise.Didn’t sleep, worst experience of my trip to Perth. Please return my refund from intercontinental.

Staff went out of their way to help us and make our trip comfortable. The hotel smelt beautiful and everything was very clean. The room service and food was delicious even for orders in the early hours of the morning. Would stay here again!

    4RubenPosted on: 10-28-2025

    The hotel was very expensive...

I was disappointed with the facilities considering the price. There was no pool, unsecured Wi-Fi, and no view. The room was also not as clean as a normal 5-star hotel.

    4BernadettePosted on: 10-20-2025

Conveniently located, comfortable beds, excellent staff.

I booked a club room and had to wait nearly 40 minutes before i could get into my room, the sliding bathroom door would not close at all, there was a smell of urine in the toilet, the safe was beeping all night (some sort of malfunction I think) and the room was tiny.I have stayed at a few intercontinental hotels around the world and always had club rooms but never have I had such a small club room. Breakfast is the club lounge came from the restaurant on the ground floor so it was cold when we got it, happy hour in the club lounge was disappointing to say the least (the staff in there were great!), the selection of snack was lacking and the canapés were tasty but you only got 5 small mouth fulls.
