Pros +
- The unit was refreshingly modern considering it's price, loved the courtyard we had on a ground floor and location to the city using the pedestrian bridge over the motorway . Extremely easy to access Kings Park and Perth's Motorway system.
- Very nice clean, functional room. Kitchenette had everything we needed to make our own food. The cafe downstairs is very popular and has great food and coffee. It's in a great location, with beautiful purple Jacaranda trees lining the street in November when we were there, and very close to Kings Park.
- Location is good
Cons -
- The shower needs a door, it is extremely difficult to use the shower without water escaping the shower cubicle . We were unlucky to experience a drunken party at 2.00-3.30 am on the balcony above our unit, this can happen anywhere, where was management ?
- The room, while very practical, isn't the kind of place that you want to spend all your time, as the decor is very minimalist and the view is fairly boring, especially on lower levels.
- This place has various rooms, and I got the worst option. The room was old, motel type. Needs deep cleaning. Fridge was making creepy noises, AC super loud. Curtains dusty. Carpets are older than me. Balcony had cigarette waste. Water leaks in the shower. Insects flying around. Food waste was left hidden in the closet by a previous customer that wasn’t found and thrown. Zero comfort.

The room was very spacious - lots of floor space with a huge room mirror, a comfortable big bed, a dining table, a kitchen area, and a small balcony. Although the room can be a little dimly lit in general, I did not mind it too much and actually enjoyed chilling in the shade from the trees outside the balcony. The bath, body, and shower products smelled great too, and there were ample towels provided. The hotel is in a pretty convenient location, and within a 10-15 minute walk you could get to the heart of the CBD. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, and the staff at reception were lovely and helpful. Entry into the building is easy (remember to take a picture of the door code for after-hours), and the lifts in the building came quickly too.
It wasn't anything too major, but the cleanliness of the bathroom and floors could be improved further. Perhaps I missed it, but it would be nice to have power sockets nearer to the bed. Providing room slippers would have been much appreciated as well.
I was in Room 305 and it was a nice, comfortable room that was nicely appointed. The colour scheme was pleasant and the entire space had a masculine feel to it. The front desk staff were friendly and appropriately accommodating. We appreciated the kitchen in the room as we cooked our own meals and we were also grateful that they kept out luggage for a couple of hours after we checked out as our flight was not until mid-afternoon.
My partner was in Room 301 and, unlike my room, it was plain and bland and almost ugly, an unpleasant room to be in. When in the hotel together and apart from sleeping, we spent most of our time in my room, instead.
Location is perfect for access to the CBD as well as Kings park. The food at the restaurant downstairs was always perfect
Riverview on Mount is the perfect location - quick walk into the CBD across the bridge, or a short walk uphill to Kings Park which has stunnign views and lovely walking/running tracks. The room was bigger than we expected and had everything we needed. Very comfy bed.
The staff, septically the front counter man and the cleaner are such beautiful people and made us feel so welcomed. Thank you so much :)
i would have liked some other type of teas in the room and non-dairy milk
Location, cafe on ground floor for breakfast and lunch was very good and popular with locals . Room was comfortable and well equipped but a little dark. 200 metre walk to the free Blue cat bus stop to King's Park or to the City. We would consider staying here again.
We had to keep curtains closed for privacy from the building next door. Only one easy chair.
Room was clean and tidy with modern interior despite being an old building on the outside. Location is not bad, being close to Kings Park and West Perth busses.
Excellent location just down the hill from Kings Park. Apartment was very clean and comfortable. Excellent cafe at the entrance/ reception. Staff very helpful and friendly. Reception hours limited, but ok given a security code allows access 24/7.
Would be good to have access number emailed to ensure access 24/7 rather than just having to have the small card with the number on it given at check in. Good to take a photo of the card with your phone to make sure you are not locked out after reception hours.
Location fabulous.. easy walk into centre of Perth or the gardens.Safe & secure parking at the hotel.Nice big bathroom
Dark carpet that was old & fraying.Didn’t like the smell in the room.. smelt dusty & dirty.. reminded me of the old nursing quarters in 1980’s ?
The location was central close to the city and Kings Park.
Sleep was a bit difficult...outside noise
Personnel gentle and professional. Food facilities down stairs comfortable. Town center in walking distance.
Great location. Amazing cafe down stairs.Cleaning staff did a fantastic job. Reception were friendly and helpful.
Room was very well appointed, with lots of kitchenware to cook with. The balcony was great to hang and dry a wet coat. Very close to the CBD and transportaion via the CAT bus and a short walk to the central train station.
The power went out twice during my three day stay, for about half an hour each time. Although this may have been due to city, not the hotel.
It comes with a little kitchen and the microwave come in really handy
The place was a little run down and taps are leaking. Not enough plug points
Very comfortable room with a balcony overlooking a courtyard. After-hour check in instructions were lengthy but clear. Kitchen area was well-outfitted and bathroom was comfortable. Location was within easy walking distance of the botanical gardens and the central business district. Staff were friendly and helped us to print a document we needed for later in our trip. Great base to explore Perth.
We had the spa room, loved the spa in the bedroom over looking our private courtyard, we will definately be back, although it was only for a night this time, the stay, the room and the staff where exceptional.Next time i hope to try the restuarant as well, the food smelled delicious.
Option for a later checkout would be nice, otherwise everything else was to be expected, Parking was a bit difficult in a large car, opted to park in the street due to not easily being able to turn out the back, also very limited secure parking.
It's near to the park, and its kinda strategic area too.
Would be great if there's a washing machine. Or a laundromat nearby. Plus the shower area, would be great too if there's either a higher boundary shower and dry area. Every time we shower, the water splashed out, which causes the sink/dry area to wet.
