Pros +
- The lock works
- Room was basic but adequate, bathroom was clean & nicely presented, Staff were helpful, considerate & polite. Great location for access to the City & train network. I was very pleased with the accommodation & would stay again if secure parking is available.
- Probably nothing
Cons -
- The room walls were disgusting, the plumbing made loud noises, there were men outside my room drinking into all hours of the night and the windows do not have a pane of glass to shut.
- A television & kettle in the room would be a nice touch as would a picture or two but I do understand that these are damageable items. Bedroom window wouldn't open.
- Absolutely everything. Staff wasn’t event nice to me, it’s extremely dirty, conditions are just very poor

Poor
I paid full upfront but when I got into the room, it looked as if someone left and no one cleaned the room for the next guest. I had to remove all beddings and blanket and used my own picnic mat. Baby cockroaches are present in the room.
Disappointed
Hello, I am very disappointed with this hostel because there were cockroaches in my room. There were lots of them climbing all over the place, especially where there was food (logical). In addition, there are a few other negative points to note, not the least of which are the single-glazed windows overlooking the Korean restaurant on the first floor. You have to close the shutters because otherwise everyone can see you, especially at night, and you can hear outside as if there were no window. The shower whistles in the pipes and it's unbearable when you shower if you don't put your hand on the right opening. On top of that, it leaks! You have to use both hands to turn it off and at the same time work your hands off, otherwise it won't stop.Oh, and there's also the door that lets in all the light at night with a gaping hole underneath, so you can hear everything behind it.I know it's a hostel but you're paying and you deserve to be treated with a minimum of humanity, even if it means paying for a minimum service. At that level, you might as well be sleeping rough! That's it! It's a pity for my arrival in Australia to come across this type of hostel...
The location is excellent location for everything.Spacious room common area and kitchen The most important is peaceful place to stay
The toilet is less and shower. Some cupboards and shower door are faulty.
Bad
don't go there, I chose this hostel because it had a good rating but I was placed in an unsanitary room, mold on the walls, infested with live and dead cockroaches (when I arrived I was able to discover almost ten dead cockroaches all over the room), a toothbrush behind my mattress, and on top of that at night homeless people were squatting.
Good location, friendly staff. Comfy beds.
So so, but I didn't find better in Perth at that price. Still very expensive for what you get. It's not really clean.
Good location, friendly staff
Filty place, has cockroaches in the rooms, broken air con and room smells like sigarets
Good location. Big room (double private). Quick WiFi.
Bit dated. Sometimes a bit noisy.
The bathrooms were shared and I expected a disaster but it was almost great and clean. the kitchen had plenty of equipments that was really good and I could do anything I wanted. even the personal things were available.the environment was so friendly and all the guests knew each other which was really interesting for me.
the room seemed perfectly clean but we saw different insects frequently. some may be for Australia's wether, but it was abnormal and the only problem I saw.
Great staff on the desk, excellent location.
Very old building and facilities. Alot of broken doors ect.
Location is great. Staff was very friendly
Everything was filthy. Stains on the sheets and mattresses and every surface. Smelt disgusting. Multiple cockroaches in our room that got in the bed. Aircon was broken. Lockers didn’t have doors attached. People being loud all night
Nothing at all, unprofessional customer service from their reception.
On website does not say its a female dormitory, after booking and paying it it says it is only female allowed in my email. I called their number some body answered the phone, and told me it's only female dormitory and they can refund my money back by just emailing them. I emailed to cancel my booking and refund back my money, theu still have not refund my money till now. Next day they called me again if I am coming to the dormitory again...what a joke, and the guy calling is so unprofessional his coughing on the phone and talking to one of his friend and laughing. Still waiting for my refund, would not recommend it to any one, must be a junkie place I reckon
Good location, good value of money, easy check ins/check outs
Building considered old
Location
Shower doesn’t work. Bed sheets dirty
Location.
The bed. It was difficult to get to top bunk. No ladder and felt like lying on a chain link fence. Worst bed ever!
LocationGood shower and bathroom.Pleasant and helpful service. Two good double beds.
Lack of space. No chairs, no table, no bed-lamps.Old TV set difficult to use.
Cheap Private room
College dorm feeling
Location was central
Arrived just before the end of their advertised reception hours but no reception staff. We were let into the foyer by other guests but the multiple attempts to phone the after hours number just rang out and messages were unanswered. After 40 minutes of waiting we gave up as had a child who was needing a bed after flying in from the East of the country and no idea of how long we would have to wait, so found another hotel. Emperors Crown only agreed (by message the next day) to refund 1 of the 3 nights and still no sign of that, but still worth leaving as didn’t feel very safe to stay or secure to leave belongings while sightseeing.
