    Pros +

    • Location. Cost. Got a single room. Kitchen is convenient.
    • Good location
    • Location was great and easy check in. Single room was nice and tidy.

    Cons -

    • Very noisy. Especially Saturday night & rooms on the front (William road has bars with people shouting all night). Internet did not work in the room, even though I paid for the not free one. The free one only worked downstairs and in the courtyard.
    • Horribly hot rooms. No air con. Windows didn’t open properly.
    • No aircon in room, small fan didn’t quite do it when it’s unbearably hot. I believe aircon is under consideration

    passable

kitchens disgusting, weird passive aggressive signs dotted about, not social / more long term stayers are here

Back room on the upstairs verandah is quiet. Although the discarded clothes free for others to use could be put in a box or hung up on a clothes rack instead of strewn across the floor in a large bundle

The lack of cleanliness of the rooms. Had to move rooms twice before there was an acceptably clean room. Although moving was no trouble

It boasts a prime location, close to bus stops and the city center. Numerous restaurants and cafes are also nearby.

The bathroom is a bit old. There's room for improvement.

The location is great, close to the city and very convenient. Overall, everything was okay during my stay. However, I had requested a lower bed in advance due to a herniated back, and unfortunately this request wasn’t accommodated. The property also has quite a lot of stairs, which made moving around a bit challenging for me

    Location.

Big kitchen, but not enough storage for food, and not enough kitchenware.

Place was okay and very cheap and has all the usual facilities. Staff very friendly and easy check in and out processes. It’s very central.

No ladder on bunk beds, beds very creaky so every time someone moves it’s waking someone up. It’s in a very busy area for bars etc so is very noisy area if that’s a problem for you.

The bathroom was clean and the blankets and pillow were pretty nice and comfy to sleep on. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Generally the kitchen area could've been cleaned up and organised a bit more. Yeah its a shared dormitory but I feel like the owners should have someone to clean it up as well (just a general clean. The bed was pretty squeaky. So i had to try my best not to move so much to disturb the other guests. Just keep in mind that you are sleeping with other people in the room. When I was there, it smelled like herbal medicine (idk who was using it) and people kept on turning off the aircon when it was really hot. So you'd have to put up with that.

I booked well in advance and got a really great price. It was by far the cheapest in the city area and I didn’t have high hopes, but it was really great! The beds were so comfy. I was in a private room with a bunk bed and it was nice to have some extra space. From what I could see, it looked like every room has its own window. Bathrooms were clean. This accommodation really did exceed my expectations given how cheap it was.

They have no parking on site, which is fine as there is a public car park across the road which is open 24/7 on weekend (closes late during the week). Parking added approx $70 to our three night stay, but this accommodation was at least $100 cheaper than anywhere else we found so it was worth it.

Close to city. Close to nightclubs and street food.

The cheapest in Perth but still not worth it. Squeaky beds and random people now and then.

    2RickyPosted on: 10-29-2025

If you want a central location with a good spot, it's fine.

The place is dirty; there are shoes, Uber Eats boxes, towels, etc. all over the hallways; the toilet bins are overflowing with toilet paper; there's too much noise from people until late; the people who seem to live there for weeks make too much noise, banging the doorknobs when opening and closing; there's noise from the bars next door until late; it's a terrible place. You really can't sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good location

Nothing - it’s dirty, noisy and old. So many people in this accomodation. Door would barely closed, bed was dirty and bathrooms too.

    3AtalayaPosted on: 10-4-2025

Staff were fine and location good. Easy walk from the main station and close to restaurants, museum etc.

Revolting stained mattress and old, stained pillows. Had to remove the sheets myself and was pretty disgusted that I’d laid on it! The room wasn’t very clean and the bed was very uncomfortable. For over $80 I thought the value was exceptionally bad. The bathroom was in a poor state, one shower head I tried didn’t work and shot water sideways. The kitchen was disgusting with a broken tap and stunk like gas and old food with dirty dishes everywhere. Would not cook in there. Next time I would walk further for some actual comfort and value for money. Would not visit again. It’s not cheap! Didn’t sleep a wink.

Location is good - only 5/10 minutes walk from Perth train/bus station so ver accessible.Staff were nice when I spoke to them.I liked the various seating areas around the property.

Room was very cramped - I stayed in a 3 bed dorm, unfortunately it was probably just bad luck but one of my roommates seemed to live there ?? She had her stuff ALL over the room which made it very difficult to even be in the space. I am used to hostels, I’ve stayed in easily 50+ but this is the first instance where I felt uncomfortable in my room. I’m not sure if there is any way to police this but perhaps labelling storage spaces to ensure there is an even split for customers would be a useful tool. Kitchen needs some work - not all hobs work etc

Need to offer a fridge if possible especially in big room

When walking on the floor make noise The smal room the mattres of bed is un even

Fairly attractive French girls and very central

The smell of the weed in the hallways is disgusting, can't say anything good about the kitchen, got asked to strip my bed like it's not my job, but apart from that it was okay

    8KatarínaPosted on: 9-17-2025

The location is great, it is located in the centre of Perth, close to a metro station. The staff was nice and helpful.

The room was extremely cold with no way to make it warm, we had to sleep under two blankets. It would be nice if there were for example some heaters for rent, we would definitely use that. There isn't enough hot water.

It was close to city and cheap

It was loud, beds were horrible.
