was exceptionally clean, quiet, good value for money

Good location, very clean, great budget option
Some drunk old men in the common areas that made me feel a bit uncomfortable
Price, location, easily accessed
Tiredness of the property, no toilet in the shower room space, shared female toilet locked for two days, no staff seen during stay
Having your own room is nice.
The whole property was quite dirty, cleaners come (I believe) once a day but they just wave a mop around and it doesn’t do anything. The showers were often very dirty, covered in mud and leaves etc. There was some sort of building work going on in the morning (starting at 9am) which was extremely loud especially when dealing with jet lag. I did message and bring this up to which I was ignored.
great location at a great price and a short walk to the city and surrounds
I liked the location. Staff were nice and it was clean.
The kitchen didn't seem to have power in the early hours of the morning. I actually took the kettle to my room to get some hot water. The linen they give is a problem, I ended up having to get an extra blanket. They should go for duvets. The toilets are cramped. The window curtains were see through too, at night with lights on.
The room was awesome. Great price as well. The showers and toilets were near by Very clean and quiet. The staff were awesome whatever you needed it was sorted.
The property was in a great location close to transport to be able to get around
Could be more bathrooms and also benches to be able to sit around. Also free wifi would be great too.
The rooms are clean and the water is hot. Plenty of utensils and fridges.
The Hay St Backpackers used to be one of the best places to stay in Pertg with one of the few pools available and in the heart of a busy area. It's been acquired by overseas owners, no more reception, no staff on site, no pool and no furniture you have to eat in your room which encourages ants and cockroaches. Hay Street is a ghost town and there's nothing to do.
Very basic but has all you need, overall a very satisfying stay. Comms via booking.com was quick & effective. The housekeeper was a lovely chap. However a few odd characters about.
On the one hand the kitchen is full of cockroaches, from everything I have moved there were several cockroaches coming out from there, it is a bit disgusting to cook there. On the other hand, there is no space to eat, there are no chairs or tables, so I had to eat in my darkroom because I had no windows. Cleanliness in bathrooms and showers was ok. But it's not worth the price paid.
Quiet in a way there isn’t social events or parties happening, just workers. Perfect for a quiet night near the city with parking next to it (about 30 bucks for a full day). Clean. Facilities are essential nothing fancy nothing colourful if you are looking to meet people and get involved in Perth events definitely pick another hostel. Also no reception it is self checking which was perfect for my needs but might not be for someone else.
Shower fantastic Clean shower room/bathroom/communal areasEasy to check inGood location. Food places very close.
Small changes would make big differences. Bin in the room, hook on the back of the door, something to dry hands with in the toilet. For what you pay, great value!
Good location. Easy to get to the city using the free bus across the road. The place is also quiet and peaceful. Not your typical backpackers hostel.
Their office is not manned 24/7 but you can always reach a manager via the phone number they have provided. The place is quiet and peaceful. Not your average backpackers hostel as they have private rooms only so if you are looking to mingle and chat with the occupants, this is not the place for you. However that suits me perfectly so I will be back again! =)
a private room
bad maintained, not even have ac and a proper window
It was nice to have the bathroom in the room. We had a/cLocalisation was okay No reception but staff was responsive.
The cleaning wasn’t good in our room. The window was open when we arrived so we had ants and others insects. There’s an open kitchen. So there is birds and insects. But no place to eat ? No table etc. We didn’t get hot water on the first day, but annoying.
