    Pros +

    • Like anyone else, the main feature of this hotel is the sparkling water tap. Loving it, especially during summer like when i visited Freo this time. The room we stayed was in the W2 building, the Warder building. Well restored, nice interior, 2 access from the back (the hotel area) and front (the public area).Other thing I like includes nice staffs, proximity to freo market (literally in front of hotel), easy to check in/out. Continental breakfast is like other typical continental breakfast, but they have menu to offer.
    • Great location and everyone was very friendly.
    • We loved this spot. We were in the older section of garde housing which was super unique. Water (still and sparkling) on tap in your room, clean, well appointed bedding and comfortable mattress. The soaps provided were a delight! We also were given drinks each night for bar gimlet downstairs from our room.

    Cons -

    • The noise of the gate closing in the back area (dunno why people tends not to close it smoothly and quietly and we did not close the 2nd door to the sleeping area though). Other than that, nothing to complaint.
    • The TV at the foot is the bed was a little close and made it feel a little boxed in
    • Breakfast was very busy and hard to find a clean table. Coffee machines were always busy or needing to be filled with water/beans etc.

    The location.

Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations, especially for a hotel marketed as 5-star.Several amenities were not functioning in both our room and my parents’ room, suggesting a broader maintenance issue throughout the hotel rather than an isolated incident. In my parents’ room, the sparkling water tap was not working, and the QR code provided for guest information did not function.Housekeeping was also inadequate, the room was not properly cleaned, and dirty glasses were left unchanged for three days, which is unacceptable at this standard. We also encountered rude and unwelcoming staff at the “complimentary drink” bar, which was disappointing and unprofessional.Breakfast was the biggest issue. Although advertised as complimentary, the offering was extremely limited and consisted mainly of dry bread. This felt misleading and fell well below an acceptable standard. When we raised these concerns during checkout, the staff member at reception was dismissive and repeatedly asked, “Is there anything else?” without acknowledging or addressing the feedback.Overall, the experience was very poor and not reflective of a 5-star hotel. We would not recommend this property based on our stay.

Beautiful hotel room in a great location in Fremantle. Very comfortable. The continental breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. I could not have asked for more.

    Nothing it was all great.

Prime location. The restaurant was suburb. Breakfast was very clean (not many unhealthy options :P) but we loved everything about this accommodation. The room was great and the bathroom was spectaculor.

Complimentary breakfast and min-bar! Great location, staff and facilities. Had an issue with a leak in the bathroom and were given an upgrade without hesitation. Great value for money.

The upgrade, a suite, was a bit sparsely furnished eg no TV in the living area, but we were grateful nevertheless.

Decor and design nicely done, super clean and staff v helpful. Excellent location in Fremantle.

No pool. No hot breakfast other than extra to pay. Bed a tad soft for my liking.

Terrific location. Very modern. Very comfortable bed.

Only one uncomfortable chair provided in our room

Location was great. Decor, interior, availability of sparkling water was really nice. Stylish, modern, spacious. If you stayed with even 2 suitcases for 2 people, the room would accommodate it comfortably. Breakfast was great although with a limited selection

There was an odd smell emitted from an opening within the undercounter cabinet which was sewer-like. I would have liked to pay an all-inclusive price and have a wider range of breakfast options.

Brand-new facility, great location next to the Fremantle market, friendly and attentive customer service from the front desk to the Anglesea restaurant/bar. We very much enjoyed breakfast and the a la carte dishes for breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. We had no qualms coming for nightly welcome drinks and ordering an extra dish to share, or coming for the cold breakfast and ordering an extra omelette or eggs on toast. The kitchen staff were also very good about accommodating my allergies. Extra kudos to the front desk staff who were very helpful and always greeted us with a smile, or gave us evening ice cream recommendations! The rooms were very sharply designed, and we were very impressed with the double showers, and we felt pampered.

We had a small issue as we arrived to find our bathroom counter had not been cleaned from the previous guests, although the rest of the room was made up and cleaned. The front desk staff addressed concerns and made it right for us.

Central to Fremantle, clean, good mini bar and breakfast.

No soaps for the bath or anywhere to put a drink when soaking in the bath no biggie though.

Great helpful staff, fantastic breakfast, complimentary drinks

Our first room had a king bed against the wall so you couldn’t walk around the bed. They gave us another room which was much better

Continental breakfast available with a simple delicious offering of muesli, chia pudding, fresh fruits, pastries and toast with house made pink lady apple jam and other condiments. Option to purchase cooked breakfast from $13 plus extras. Wonderful stay and central to everything in Freo.

We stayed in Warden family rooms where the bathroom light shines through a frosted window into the bunk bed area. Bathroom light and fan is automatic and can wake people in the bunk room during the night.

Amazing location- excellent breakfast, and great service.

    10NikitaPosted on: 9-24-2025

buffet breakfast was light and refreshing (no hot food, only cold items like yoghurt, toast, fruit, museli, etc.), great for a light morning meal before work or heading on a day out

    10JuliaPosted on: 9-20-2025

    The location, the breakfast

The only thing I didn’t like were the appropriations of Botticelli’s, “The birth of Venus in the reception area”

    8SusanPosted on: 9-7-2025

Lovely bed, drinks in fridge, drinking water dispenser in room, free drink at gin bar.

The room needs a comfy chair to sit in. Breakfast needed some cold meats and cheeses, not caramel slice! Also the breakfast place needed somewhere to make your own cup of tea. One side of our bed was almost impossible to get in and out of and risk of bashing against the mantle piece. Dangerous!
