Guests can swim in the outdoor pool when they stay at Cairns Holiday Park. Just a 5-minute drive from the heart of Cairns, this property offers lodge-style accommodations. Cairns Holiday Park Lodges is a 5-minute drive from the Cairns Esplanade Lagoon and a 10-minute drive from Marlin Marina providing access to the Great Barrier Reef. Cairns Airport is a 5-minute drive away. The air-conditioned lodge room has a TV, bench area & chairs. It offers a small kitchenette area which has a microwave & sink available for guests to use, refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. It has access to shared bathroom facilities. You can share a meal with family and friends using the BBQ facilities. Also on offer are a tour desk and laundry facilities. We are implementing credit card surcharges from the 11th December. We accept Visa and Mastercard. For card payments made on and from 11 December 2023, a transaction fee of 0.85% will apply.

A damage deposit of AUD 150 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Please note that this property does not accept payments with American Express credit cards. Please note that this property requires a refundable AUD 150 bond upon check in to cover any incidental charges, damage to the property or excessive cleaning fees. This amount will be refunded after inspection of the accommodations upon of check out. If checking in outside of reception hours, the refundable bond is due prior to arrival. Please note that there is no capacity for additional guests. Children can be accommodated only when included in your booking, and within the maximum occupancy of the room. Pros +
- Location was fairly central for what we were doing. The price was reasonable which was demonstrated by the number of backpackers staying in the cabins.
Cons -
- The amenities were in poor condition and honestly quite disgusting. Toilet seats with vomit and faeces on. Clearly not checked regularly by park staff and definitely not cleaned after high use periods. The room we stayed in was not horrendously dirty but it was clear that it had not been cleaned properly for a while. The area we stayed in did not have enough outdoor seating which lead to other patrons sitting outside our room to have their smokes (not really their fault as there wasn't anywhere designated to smoke and limited outdoor seating). We could not have our window open. NRMA need to lift their game and check the cleaning that is being done with regular checks on facilities to ensure hygiene and cleanliness.
