Sheraton Melbourne Hotel

Location is good, rooms size is good but outlook into office block, breakfast good, pool ok

Room view/outlook is very poor at this price point, charging extra for coffee is not OK, gym is very basic,

The bath

The beds were terrible, rock hard and what was supposed to be a king bed was 2 singles pushed together which is normal but they were different heights ! There was smoke coming in our room and I couldn't breathe had an asthma attack

The large size of the room, the soft furnishings, the comfy bed and pillows, the marble bathroom, the location in close proximity to Rod Laver Arena, the very attentive staff. The breakfast was good, not amazing, but it met our needs.

This is a minor point and overall we had a lovely experience, and rated the hotel as very good (8.0). However, there was an ever so subtle sewerage smell when you entered from level G, which puts you off a bit. It couldn't be detected on level 1 or above thank goodness.

The room was spacious enough for 2. The bathrooom was very nice and clean. The dining area was great and the breakfast was excellent.The chef was very obliging allowing us to freeze 2 small ice packs for the tennis. He was very friendly as were all the staff. Very impressed with the staff with their helpfulness and friendliness.

There was a smell in the foyer and inside in the hallways that smelt like the sewer. It was very unpleasant.Although the hotel was terrific, we didn’t like the fact that it was across the road from parking lots.

Room was very clean, large, and a good view of the city. It was good value and a central location to get around the city. They have an arrangement with the public carpark nearby, so if you're familiar with the area, it's quite convenient.

Very enjoyable stay, great room and lovely staff at breakfast. Check in and check out sublime. Love time in the pool and steam room most evenings, and very private and quiet. Came to meet up with family and go to the tennis. Location perfect and enjoyed time in the city. Excellent. Thanks for making it so memorable!

Facilities are very good in a good location and concierge was excellent.

Your staff don't make things seamless. They couldn't locate my booking for 10 minutes, did several pre authorisation payments on my card after only mentioning the first. My account was frozen due to suspected fraud and it took until Monday to get an answer from the hotel.

Location was good, middle of CBD.

Beds were uncomfortable. When one person moved it was obvious to the other. Our door was knocked on three times and a missed phone call made. We think it related to adapters we requested but this gave us cause for concern that something was not right at home.

We had such an amazing time , from check in little bit of touch like offering orange juice and reception gave us cake for our anniversary makes it so special we love to go to the hotel for celebrations or even just unwind for weekend and after this experience this is going to be our go to place! will definitely come back and i cant stop telling my families about this place really highly recommend. Great job guys

The staff are friendly, helpful and nice.

Pillows are not good. Sheets to small came undone. Food was not the best and slow service. Breakfast was not as good as advertised had better.

Rooms were clean and comfy.Hotel is located in a great area of the city with a parking lot really closeby which is handy.

The location was excellent. Close to theatres and restaurants. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Rooms were large and clean.

The pool and spa were the same temperature and too cold to get in. This was the only letdown. It would be great if the spa and pool were different temperatures.

Location was great! Rooms were spacious . Enjoyed the slippers and robe . Amazing spa! Staff was friendly and very helpful from the restaurant staff to the front desk personnel.

Pool wasn’t warm enough. Spa needs to be heated separately. Terrace cafe on 3rd floor had great view but was never open. Breakfast was too expensive.

Not much, just felt disappointed.

Their website is very misleading. 1, they say they have a hydro pool, they haven’t, it’s just a normal swimming pool. 2, photos of food being presented wasn’t the same when we had dinner there. The rooms were dirty, dusty, the mini bar and cupboard doors weren’t fitting properly, so you couldn’t close them. A electric socket was broken and buckled, bedside light kept flickering on and off. The glasses in the mini bar were dirty. The toilet flush buttons were loose and because of that you could see dirty grime. No conditioner in empty bottle in bathroom, air con didn’t work, the indoor pool was freezing. 5 star hotel, I don’t think so.

Staff were nice, helpful, rooms were great. Had everything you wanted in the rooms and you could request front desk if you need anything. The breakfast was delicious and you could order any type of eggs you would like.
