Parkdale Motor Inn

Location was great for local shopping, within walking distance to public transport. The room was bright and bed very comfortable and fairly clean.

Very minimal basics, coffee,tea etc, 1 tiny milk, no drinking water in the fridge. No exhaust fan in bathroom, mould appearing, the AC was very old, half the cover was broken off, no heating, tv didn't pick up a lot of channels, only sound, no picture.

Paint on walls was poor skirting and architraves rotted and falling apart aircon split system run down and noisy at night, room did not match the displayed photos

Stairs going upstairs not safe - big gap on the side of the stairs, both levels, stairs uneven.

The staff were friendly and helpful when I needed anything. The room was a good size.

Reception smells really bad. Our pillowcases had stains on them and we needed to request new ones, , there was a wet cleaning cloth left in the bathroom, and overall the room was dilapidated and grubby. The bathroom door kept falling off its hinges and our TV worked only intermittently...we kept it on all day for fear it wouldn't restart if we turned it off. We could feel the springs in the beds, which was quite uncomfortable. Overall, we just needed a place to stay and my boy enjoyed the spa bath in our suite, but we just tried to spend as little time there as possible.

Mattress on the bed is pretty average. We were woken up at 4.45 and again a little later with banging either on the wall or inside the wall. We believe it could have been water pipes banging. Shower base in our room is cracked and as it's quite a step into the shower recess, a handle to grip on the outside would be good to help with stability entering and exiting the shower

Bad

The door immediately fell off in the bathroom, there was what l assume was a stolen car abandoned in the car park, the towels were as thin as a tea towel and not much bigger, the room smelt like old ciggies

The whole room is old, very old carpets, shower head would not stay up, bed was uncomfortable as the mattress was lumpy.

Cost wise this was not a bad deal - thats all the positive i can see

Room was not clean and they didn't do service everyday . TV was not working .

Location to where we wanted to be was good. This was the only positive about our stay.

Staff not overly friendly. Room not cleaned. Had to buy disinfectant wipes to clean fat off cooktop, wipe all door handles and clean bathroom before using. There were Long black hairs all over the bathroom floor (we are all blonde). Spend the extra $$ and stay at the quest in Cheltenham. Photos on website is not what you get.

Kettle didn’t work; bathroom door don’t close; curtains were dusty.

No lift and but they put us on first floor but still stairs to climb. One member was recovering from hip surgery

Beds were comfy and tv worked well. Impressed with the branded hair drier

Kitchenette was a bit old and the hot water in the shower was inconsistent.

Checkin went well, room was just OK for 1 night

We tried to store small bag at the place and they wouldn't allow, also Reception wasn't open until 8.30am - a bit late?
