Oaks Melbourne on Collins Hotel

The bed was very comfy, good amount of space in the room to unpack all my things. Small balcony to sit out on

The hotel was quite noisy and the door to the balcony wasn't fully sealed so when the city was filled with smoke one night the smell got into the room.

Location. Comfortable bed

The tiniest bathroom which appeared to be an addition to the room (after it was otherwise completed). We arrived early, completed all paperwork etc, left our bags & returned later at check-in time (2pm). We got the clear impression there wasn’t a room readily available & the room we were allocated was “a room of last resort”.

Room was clean and comfortable. Well set out and plenty of space. Very quiet as we heard no outside sounds. Overall very lovely

Nothing really, if i was to be picky maybe a different selection of tea bags (only green tea) and more milk for the coffee machine. This is very minor as we really didn't need to use them but just a thought.

Barhroom small and basin very small and inconvenient no cupboard or vanity in bathroom ! Taking luggage over step by ourselves no one to help! There is no rump either - no carpark !

It was overpriced

We had to walk a flight of stairs and they did not service the unit daily.

Excellent location, near a tram stop. Spacious room and it's got a coffee machine too!

The location was convenient and the room was spacious.

Upon arrival, I spoke to the receptionist stating I would like to check in to my reservation. He then proceeded to make conversation in a different language (non-English) to his other coworker ignoring my husband and I. After a good 5 minutes, he said we could self-check in by the tablet on the table to his left. He could've told us this, it was 11:30pm and late. Why ignore us? Nonetheless, the room itself was alright, but for some reason there was no exhaust fan so black mold was everywhere in the bathroom. In addition, there was make up on my provided towel which was gross.

Absolutely wonderful place - spacious, clean, has everything you need for cooking - stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, plates, cutlery, large fridge, and much more. A block away from train station, very close to all attractions, within the CBD.Staff is wonderful too.It exceeded my expectations. I am surprised that the overall rating of the property is 8. It should be much higher. I am giving them 10/10.

The location was ideal for us. We stayed there about a month ago also and we loved it. The apartment was lovely and clean and spacious and comfortable. It had everything we needed. when we checked out, we were able to leave our bags at reception for a while, which was very handy.Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Thank you.

A stunning poor value for the money.bags of dirty laundry are always thrown at the hallwayThe towels are threadbare and linting, the furniture is uncomfortable.You can't say the room is dirty, but you can't call it clean either; at least, you don't want to walk around barefoot.It's very noisy; soundproofing clearly hasn't been invented yet. You'll hear everything going on outside (the garbage truck arrives at 5 a.m.), in the neighboring rooms, and every door closing on the floor.There's mold in the bathroom, a little, but it's still there.

The size of the room and location of the hotel were the things I liked most about my stay at Oaks Melbourne on Collins Suites. It was also very quiet so I didn't hear other people or the traffic.

Cooking facilities were okay but there could have been a few more pots and pans of different sizes as well as a strainer. The room didn't have an external window which was a little disappointing and the light from the internal 'window' meant that the half the room was lit when I went to sleep. I think it needs a darker curtain.

Room was neat and we were told about it being in the middle of the building therefore no windows. But all was fine.

I felt that the bathroom was very small and not very practical. Did not enjoy this experience. Particularly the lack of privacy that the bathroom actually offered.

Great location and easy to check in, room was super big!

The bed was horrible and so uncomfortable. Was two singles stuck together with no mattress topper to sofen the middle connecting part. I would not stay again due to the bed alone.

The location is great and the room is well equipped with a kitchenette.

The bathroom is not sealed well, we've stayed here a couple of times and it's common for water to leak into the main room, where the bed is very close by. Further, this stay I have been overcharged, and the hotel is not responding to my emails requesting to resolve the situation. It's been 1 month since my first email, which is very disappointing.

The room was spacious and comfortable and clean, Melbourne Oaks apartments/studios are extremely better than Perth. It lacked a view however, for the location it was excellent value. It was close to trams.

We understand that hotels have closed windows but sometimes it is nicer to sleep with fresh air.
