Friendly clean pub stay. Comfy bed

No breakfast, couldn’t find light switches

Location and cleaning staff.

There is no reception unless you consider a pub as reception that is only open from 3-9 or 12-9 depending on the day. No place to leave your luggage cuz you can’t leave it in the pub unless you only want it during pub hours.

Nice place to stay. Short walk to market and shops. Tram stop near hotel.

Comfortable and clean room. Quiet location close to cafes and restaurants. Friendly helpful staff. Great food and drinks at the restaurant.

Parking regulations are a little restrictive in the surrounding streets but workable if you're happy to move your car occasionally.

Such a stunning boutique little hotel. The staff were so kind and accommodating, we really felt welcomed and looked after. I recommend staying for dinner, the steak was incredible. Great location - short walk to south Melbourne Market. Would definitely return!

Not quite enough pillows - but I'm sure we could have asked for more.

Modern and clean

Check in and check out was unprofessional. I received an email to say check in was 2pm no one was at the property and all 3 phone numbers weren’t answered. We spent 1 hour in the rain waiting for them to open the premises.

I asked for a quiet room and was given one in between the lift/entrance door and the front street with tram. Not quiet.There were no staff on the premises for me to speak to.

Having food available just below us was great. Room was very well designed. Shower was great.

Second chair would have helped for a couple, instead of a stool. No microwave oven to warm the bean bags at night.

The room was clean and quite comfortable. The location was good, walking distance to Markets and good restaurant.

The staff were not welcoming at all. The staff were aloof.

Great blend of modern comfort and classic charm. Room amenities and toiletries were great. Restaurant looked nice however, we didn’t eat there. The hotel's location is convenient, being a short tram ride from Melbourne's CBD, with attractions like the South Melbourne Market and Albert Park nearby.

We arrived about an hour before the hotel opened which made things tricky luggage wise as we were wanting to store it before we were able to check in. We didn’t anticipate this and would definitely recommend arranging this in advance with the hotel if in need of storing luggage before check in.

The electronic door to my room seemed to be affected by the aircon inside so I had to learn the "knack" to opening it, at first it was disconcerting to possibly not be able to get into my room after hours but I got it worked out and it was fine. The staff were great in assisting though.

Great location with modern, tasteful facilities

The handbasin tap was wobbly and needs to be tightened up, and the on/off handle for the shower need fixing. It comes off easily and had been put on back front so it was not possible to get water in the shower. Fortunately, I worked out how to fix it.

Great room, very stylish accommodation that was just what I needed, good location from which to explore and very close to a tram stop into the CBD and down to the beach, great!

Perfect position for us as we did Albert Melbourne Parkrun and a yes a 5/10min walk to the start. We liked the area with easy access on tram 12 to the city. We met Fay first the very lovely and helpful lady who was cleaning early morning. We found the staff in the bar really friendly too. Loved the big bed and great wet room. It was quiet too. Tea and coffee facilities and an optional minibar were lovely extras.

I’d say a couple of things could be improved. I emailed a couple of times to ask, as we would be arranging early, would we be okay to leave our bags untilthe room was ready. No reply! Although when we arrived we did manage to drop them off. Reception staff could have been a bit more hospitable and friendly, maybe an off day

With no reception except for when the bar/restaurant was open, it was difficult to get in-person assistance. Problems with WiFi access.
