Sofitel Melbourne On Collins Hotel

The location was perfect at the nicer end of Collins Street. It was close to a trolley stop. There are beautiful parks/gardens nearby.

A narrow bathtub was a little dangerous to stand in when showering.

Location was good for our needs.

Main item i thought was ordinary for a 5 star Hotel was a shower over a bath! Hotel is looking tired. Old style, needs a refurb everywhere.

The location is excellent, great restaurants, cafes and theatres at your door stop. Great hotel that still feels sumptuous regardless of age.

The bed wasn't as comfortable as expected. Mattress was too hard for my arthritic hips. Glasses were not clean and had to ask for fresh ones.

The room had a nice view of the city’s skyline. The welcome drink was great.

We had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table for breakfast as it was busy. The staff was very apologetic about the wait and said they would extend it for an extra 15 minutes.

The location

Bathtub showers. Very old fashioned. Pre checked in to avoid delay check in and still took long to check in. Staff came to turn down service and did not come back. I requested flowers presented on arrival and did not happen without myself having to chase them up. Did not have multiple tooth brushes in room, did not have multiple coffee capsules. Dirty coffee cups.

Our shower was leaking and bathroom was old and needs a renovation. No smart tvs - has old cable which I thought was quite outdated especially for Sofitel

Centrally located with wonderful city views. Easy access to all the city’s main attractions.

We had the most enjoyable stay, the staff, were extremely friendly and accommodating.the room was very comfortable the smell of the hotel was Devine.

Great view from our room on the 48th Floor! Super comfortable beds and pillows. Loved the traditional offer of a turn down service each evening and even if not required, offered herbal teas or a mini linen spray. Didn't make use of the restaurant for breakfast or any other meals so can't comment on that. Staff always super helpful and the location was perfect - close to the wonderful parks and the river for walks and also 5 mins from the city.

A couple of days returned to our room late afternoon and room had not been serviced but once prompted came no problem

Superb rooms, we were on 48th floor with river / ocean views and it was stunning. Spacious room, good facilities and great breakfast options. Staff was top notch too.

Bathroom felt a bit cramped and I would expect a better shower (rain shower) in this type of hotel.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable and air conditioning didn’t work.Bar manager - Jesse, on level 35 was incredibly rude towards our server.

Staff were helpful and friendly Nice welcome on arr6and when checking out

Just the lack of pool but that was more for the children
