Reasonable price, quality accommodation, pleasant helpful staff

Location

It was very unkept. Simple things like vacuuming the halls, dust buildup on the elevators, one elevator was not working going to the lobby.

Bed was comfy

Car park, many elevators to get to your room. Pool and spa facilities could be better.

Check-in process was great. Room Service was great.

Lifts weren't working but luckily found the goods lift to get from 14th floor to reception prior to checking out

The location

There was a sewage smell in the elevator that really put a drain on the holiday. We also had a broken bed that needed to be fixed, the staff gave us another room but it was just a hassle.

The location to all the theatres was excellent, everything was within walking distance.

The pillows. Or lack of back up ones. Sleeping on the one pillow was not comfortable, but there wasn't a extra one to replace it with.

Great location and room was comfy.

Pool was ordinary and freezing and faulty fire alarm wake up call at 6am with not even an apology at checkout.

Amazing location. Right on collins st. Almost all attractions were close by and it was right on the free tram zone stop.

Windows opened on an indoor atrium area. Not the ideal choice if you like sunlight and airy rooms with views. Housekeeping services were average.

Good location, fairly central in melbourne. Night/early AM shift reception staff were very helpful.

Breakfast starts a little late (6:30 am) if you're traveling on business. Building starting to show a few signs of aging.

TV remote did not work and so was difficult to navigate the TV. Room was a mile away from the lifts

Location was excellent. The concierge was exceptional. They met us on the street out the front of the Novotel. Was engaging, especially with my 8 year old son. Helped with luggage and valet parking the car. Room was good size , comfortable and clean.

I felt breakfast was a bit overpriced for what we got. We had it at 9am and the hot food had been out for quite a while and therefore not fresh. Eg, Bacon, hash brown, sausage

Rooms need a huge upgrade. Carpets leading to rooms were dirty. Very old Tv with no casting options

the lifts werent working. 1 operational lift to service all the floors across my 2 nights...not ideal especially during the mornings or the evenings

Location was excellent. The welcome drink was a pleasant surprise. The bar was pleasant.

We were not informed, on booking, that the pool was closed. If we had have known that, we would have stayed somewhere else. The elevators to the rooms were dreadfully slow and the walk to our room was excessive, considering that it was an accessible room, with a higher than normal toilet which my wife struggled to use, only being 1.63 meters tall,The female toilets by the hotel reception / bar were awful. 3 toilets were blocked and overall cleanliness was a disgrace. There was no USB point in our room for charging our phones and the hotel could not provide adaptors. We had to ask the restaurant that we had booked that night to charge our phones.I had previously arranged with reception for a 60th birthday welcome gift to be left for my wife in our room and this was not left and I HAD TO ASK TWICE before it was brought to our room.The lighting in our room was rather dim.
