    Pros +

    • Very handy location in you visiting for events in Brunswick and Northcote area. Shops nearby on lygon and Sydney rd are pretty cool.Reasonably priced. View from balcony was nice. Staff at the desk were helpful and nice.
    • Very nice and clean Apartment with EXCELLENT and helpful owner John, alway ready to help.Lovely location not far away from the City.Recommended highly to all.
    • The Property was clean and Accessible to Transportation, a walking distance to the Shops.

    Cons -

    • Everything was so dirty and old, the lock on the door don’t feel very secure and so I didn’t feel safe enough to stay alone. The carpets were disgusting, there was a really strong smell of Asian food.
    • The hallway carpets appeared somewhat worn and dated. Additionally, there was a noticeable lingering odor of smoke in the common areas, likely due to other guests disregarding the non-smoking policy.
    • The place is old and there are so many half arsed patch ups and fixes from a maintenance point of view but that is ok. This is cosmetic and doesn't affect how the rooms function. The place is just dirty overall. Bathroom floor sticky, toothpaste on the wall, badly stained carpets, an odour in the stairwell a bit of a smokey smell too, I can handle all this, just but, the cockroaches/bugs is a deal breaker. We were nearly packing up at midnight (when we arrived back after being out) and leaving. Yes it is a cheap room for a family but you shouldn't have to deal with the bugs

It was so bad I didn’t even stay there in the end!

Highly recommended for families. The room featured a Queen and King Single bed, which fit us perfectly. Great amenities including a functional kitchenette, fast internet, and a modern TV. The property is centrally located near major transport links (train/tram) and a fantastic culinary and shopping hub.

The hallway carpets appeared somewhat worn and dated. Additionally, there was a noticeable lingering odor of smoke in the common areas, likely due to other guests disregarding the non-smoking policy.

Staff were fantastic on check in, very friendly, easy check in and access, good location. Price was good when booking and before our experience but not looking back on our stay.

My rear unit was quiet and spacious.

Carpet was a bit worn and should be replaced, perhaps with timber flooring.

    Very poor

Mould in bathroom, room was dusty and musty

    1KenPosted on: 1-5-2026

    Don't stay here it's not...

Booked a family unit. The room was dirty and had a strange smell the second room where my daughter was supposed to sleep smelt even worse and had no windows you could open or anything for air circulation. Aircon was a small window unit behind a curtain that you couldn't move looked dirty and gross wasn't game enough to turn it on for the brief time we were in the room, Bathroom was also dirty and had mould in the shower. We ended up booking somewhere else and leaving within an hour

Excellent location, fantastic service with super responsive staff, and spacious room.

Incredibly strong smoke smell - could be our fault as I’m not sure whether we accidentally got a smoking room, but it wasn’t really possible to air out the apartment considering the window size.

The staff were just wonderful, warm and helpful , the location is great . Great price has a kitchen and fridge and plenty of room

This is a very old property so expect that and the price reflects it. Smells like cigarettes and urine in the hallway. No flyscreen on windows of second storey. Wouldn't stay with my kids again as felt a bit dodgy with the clientele . The staff were so wonderful though

    6KelvinPosted on: 12-17-2025

it was reasonable value for money - served the purpose & no more

noisy location ( traffic) not overly clean, dated and in need of a refurbishment

    8MerelynePosted on: 12-17-2025

    Location...convenient for city access.

Tha room is stocked with items needed for cooking making it easy for self meal cooking than spending money outside restaurants.

    3RonanPosted on: 12-16-2025

The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was great.

The carpet on the stairwell was old and stained. The room was very old and run down.

    4SophiePosted on: 12-15-2025

Property in a good location and plenty of free parking around. Staff were very friendly

The room we were in had a hole in the kitchen tile and may ants were present around the area and on the floor, spider in the bed (although this could be common due to it being the bottom floor). I’ve had multiple bites on my ankles from bed bug nymphs / fleas not sure which one but constantly had little bugs crawling up my legs whilst being in the room.
