The Sebel Melbourne Kew

Location- Family members live in area so good to stay closer to them than in the city.There were two tram options just outside the hotel , so very easy to get into Melbourne central area.

Cleanliness, staff interactions

Bed was a little too soft and I was disappointed with the additional $20 charge per night for the use of the garage when there was no other option for parking in the nearby area.

Clean and large comfy beds.Very easy to get too

The level of cleanliness and room service was unsatisfactory. The room was not cleaned properly during my stay.The soap and shower gel were not replenished, and the bottle was empty.In addition, used dishes were left in the room and were not washed or removed.

Reception staff member seemed a little rattled when we booked in. He appeared to be by himself he was extremely polite when dealing with an overseas woman who tried 3 cards, seemingly not understanding the need for a PIN number. I was initially second in line, but many groups appeared after me maybe six or seven more. (I was waiting probably 15mins)Booking in was simple having heard what was required I had my ID and card ready.Each request made of any of the receptionists was dealt with quickly respectfully and efficiently.Facilities were above average and value for money.

I didn't realize there wasn't any restaurant at the venue and none nearby were open. I did learn to order through Door Dash for a meal ( I'm Old and this was our first time using this )

Customer service when I required an item or advice.

No work table - a round table not within close proximity to power points made it difficult to use a computer and charge phone, protective alarm, hearing aids, etc.The shower recess has a very slippery floor without a shower mat and no grab rails. As someone from interstate, I would have liked a view of the city. I did not realise until I arrived that there were parking fees, which is a little different to reading on the booking company that parking was available.

Nice big room. Very clean, complimentary water which is nice to get.

It was a good place for us to stay and QUIET!Not too much perfumed laundry detergent. So often the cleaning products are so smelly (with these fake chemical 'perfumes' that's put in stuff so often) and your clothes when you get home smell disgusting and it takes a few washes to get it out. Does anyone like this. We certainly don't.

Comfortable bed and pillows. The agency waiter in the dining room provided excellent service.

I liked the convenience to Kew where our daughter lived

The floor in the shower was extremely dangerous. It was very slippery as the tiles were highly polished. I would not stay again as the tiles in the shower itself are a health hazard. Just charge more and don’t charge extra $20.00 for a parking spot.

A pity the hotel doesn't do breakfast (any longer). It would be convenient and also make for more life in the lobby and reception area. Maybe they could do what many US cheaper chains do which is provide coffee, tea, cereal, fresh fruit items. Make it part of the price.

It’s location

It is looking old and tired. No restaurant on site, no in room dining eg breakfast.Kitchen items kept at a height I would have to climb on a chair to reach eg Kettle. Occupational Health & Safety.I had to get one of the staff to put it down on the bench for me.House phone not connected. Carpet near bathroom needs replacing..

Disappointing

Updated shower head blocked opening-in of shower door, so water runs onto bathroom door when using shower. Last time we were here, it was a raggy threadbare area of carpet in front of fridge, which had presumably leaked fluid long before. Pity. This place has excellent position, good parking, good lifts, OK room, and could be better.

Really enjoyed our stay and was happy with everything - bath robes were a nice bonus!!! Mini Bar was also well stocked and the chocolate was delicious!

Was happy with everything but it would be extra nice to have a bar/restaurant on site just for convenience.

Good location in Kew, excellent tram link in to Melbourne and very competitive rates.

Lack of dining facilities, so no breakfast or evening meal option.

Great bed. Lots of room. Modern.

No restaurant. No pool.

Location great, easy access to everything either by car or public transportation

That I contacted Booking.com to retrieve my genius discount and nobody bothered to reply Also wanted to clarify a couple of other things Disappointing!
