The Prince Hotel

The room we stayed in was beautiful and very, very clean. The staff were all highly professional and very welcoming. There was a little problem with the booking (not the hotels fault) and the General manager went out of his way to fix the problem.

Walls are quite thin, the people in the next room arrived back at 1.30am and had a shower which sounded like it was in the bed with me

The room was reasonable, but maintenance is lacking. The electronic light switches which I personally dislike were not working properly. The shower taps worked but have soft washers so when you get the right water temperature, you have to keep making small adjustments as the washers reduce the respective hot or cold flow. Why not switch to ceramic taps? The shower glass door did not close. The towels are packed too tightly on the ladder so they all come off when you try and retrieve a towel. Little irritants!

Why force guests to have breakfast in front bar where construction work made the noise intolerable. How inconsiderate! Especially when there used to be a nice courtyard available.

Very small rooms that are in need of deep cleaning and updating. The bathroom vent was black. Material chair stained. Linen more often than not was stained.Bathroom walls with black marks. Room corners clogged with dirt etc

Really spacious room. Beautiful big comfy bed. Great location for exploring St Kilda. Staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Amazing location, loved the view from the balcony, appreciated the late checkout and room service, very pricey though. Breakfast included but they charged us for ‘extras’.

It is incredibly noisy, but to be expected given it’s in the heart of St Kilda, noise didn’t settle til Sunday 4am…

Location superb Room lovely

The shower room door didn't prevent water from entering the rest of the bathroom some features seemed a little 'tired' but had quaint charm!

Great location, easy to navigate places near by. Lovely and helpful staff as well as great facilities.

Only one minor negative which can’t be controlled by the property was very loud construction noise nearby which started early in the morning. Would be dependant on when you stayed but the property provided earplugs as well which was helpful!

Reception was very friendly and helpful.Room was nice and a great size.Wonderful location. You can walk to the beach within a few minutes. Tram stop a couple of minutes away.Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

The only suggestion I would make about the room, it could have had a couch in it as it was big enough. There was no place to sit other than on the bed. One chair at a small dining table.

Location was great, friendly staff, clean facilities and room, super quick and easy check in and check out and the parking was brilliant

EVERYTHING! First parking Amazing!!! Easy cheap. Second service, Amazing! My beautiful receptionist was so incredible at her job. Im so sorry I forgot her name. Checked in 23/01/2026. Not only did she engage present conversation while checking in and got to know me, i got a UPGRADE! And oh my what a upgrade !! Stunning apartment, million dollar veiws, quiet, comfortable, clean ! Incredible!!

Nothing. And im a cleaner. I own my own cleaning business. I was very impressed with the cleaning!!
