Mercure Melbourne Southbank

Great location. Accessible to many attractions and close to public transport

The Mercure is in a fantastic location only minutes (and walking distance) from Southbank, the city and the Botanical Gardens. Great sized rooms and value for money. Getting there by car was easy and the offsite parking in only a couple of minutes away.

The room deodoriser was a bit overpowering but the fan was able to reduce the smell.

The pillows, way too soft, really terrible. Air conditioning was really confusing, wouldn’t turn off.

It’s position in the centre of Melbourne CBD. Easy access to bars and restaurants on Southbank. Our room had an amazing view over the Yarra River and the city .

The location is all this hotel has going for it

The hotels rooms are small the room service is delivered in a paper bag with cardboard boxes not 4 star and the buffet breakfast that was included was bellow par compared to other Accor properties

Location was great. It was clean.

The room was very basic. Not enough supplies of coffee/tea/sugar. Enough cutlery for one meal but no dish detergent or dish cloth of any kind to wash dishes or wipe anything down. No vanity packs of cotton buds/balls/shower cap, I expected this so didn't bring my own.

Location excellent. Have stayed before, comfortable beds, good shower. Very quiet Hotel, being in the middle of the city. My go to place to stay in Melbourne.

Great location and easy to get to when you drive from the country.

You get what you pay for. Its a little bit tired and needs a spruce up otherwise comfortable and would definitely stay their again.

The room was unpleasantly hot. The aircon didn’t seem to work much at all making for some rather unpleasant nights of sleep.

Convenient location, good value for money

Rooms need updating, especially bathrooms. Showers appeared dirty, but just old grout.

Perfect location, easy to get to. comfy, nice breakfast

At breaky I thought a little better cleaning after people leave. It’s a big turn around area.

Room was clean, and very close to South Bank river precinct. Easy access to the AO. Bed was comfy and room was recently renovated.

InRoom dinning is interesting, they call you to come collect it from reception and half the menu items were not available. They call you on a phone in the room that doesn’t let you answer it. They happily refunded the meal no questions asked though.
