It features rooms overlooking University Lake and the surrounding landscape. Lakeside Hotel and conference center is 10 minutes’ walk from Macquarie Center. Sydney Olympic Park is a 20-minute drive, and Sydney International Airport is a 30-minute drive away. The air-conditioned rooms have an LCD TV with cable channels. Each room has a large work desk, a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. Lachlan's Restaurant offers an à la carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Lounge Bar is the perfect place for a relaxing evening drink.

- Very quiet
- Updated and modern room. Laundry room was free and was highly appreciated after 10 days into my trip.
- Balcony
Cons -
- Bathroom too small and awkward hard for elderly mother to move around and open shower door
- Parking was through a courtyard, lobby and a short walk to parking lot.
- Location far from airport, expensive cab ride. Significant wear & tear in rooms. Bedsheets had stains/burns from cleaning, requested to be changed, and wasn't changed. Residual soap scum in shower soap basin.
