Pros +
- Beautiful place in a great location. Lots of car parking spaces Decor was gorgeous especially in the dining room Dined in the restaurant & we all thoroughly enjoyed the meals we had. Great choice & great quality food.
- Lovely room with a complimentary bar which had water, coke, lemonade and a small beer. Room decorated to a high standard. Ate in the restaurant at night which was also very good, followed by breakfast the next day. All the staff very helpful and polite
- Scenic, historic, quiet, homey. Friendly people, good food.
Cons -
- I found the bed (room 10) was not as comfy as I would have liked it to be. As a side sleeper I found the mattress too hard & painful for my hip & therefore sleep was interrupted many times to try & reposition myself. Bed could do with a thicker memory foam topper maybe.
- Price of room but to be expected in South of England
- nothing - all good

rooms are comfortable and bathrooms clean. Staff are really helpful. Nice food, spacious restaurant, decent sized car park, and pleasant surroundings.
nothing - all good
Loved the quiet location and ambiance of the pubFood was excellent
Was overly expensive overall.
The staff were very helpful and attentive. The property was very well kept and well presented. The bar and dining space were very comfortable and quintessentially English it was a joy to stay there and will definitely use this hotel again.
That I only booked for one night would have loved to stay for longer. Would like to visit in winter time and experience the bar with the log fire burning away.
Location, the room and food was excellent
food was excellent.. staff good.
not suitable for short people. the mirror in the bath was over my head.
The staff were so very helpful. The room was exceptional and had obviously been recently refurbished. Free mini bar , hair dryer, iron, everything we could have needed and the bed was super comfy
We ate in the bar and the food was exceptional and very reasonably priced. We were given information for local taxis and generally very well looked after.
Spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed, if a tad smaller than normal. Attentive staff and a good breakfast (extra)
Bed was a little smaller than expected but still very comfortable for one night.
Food was lovely and customer service in the restatrant was fabulous, the receptionist was un friendly but business like.
Was quite over priced but i guess that is a sign of the times
The pub area was lively and authentic with beams and a typical country pub atmosphere. The restaurant was spacious and airy and great service and food. The rooms in the new building were generous in size and ours was ground floor and had a little seating area outside with French doors. Well thought through with good storage, lovely bathroom, fridge & tea/coffee making facilities. Parking was easy and there seemed to be plenty of space plus EV charging for anyone who wanted it.
Fabulous as always. Incorporates a quaint ancient pub, very authentic low ceilings, old bricks and timber beams. Lovely grounds, free parking on-site. A real locals pub in a very nice and quiet area one of the lanes called after the many mills in the area in centuries gone by.
Lovely brand new accommodation, superb olde wordly pub next door, fantastic breakfast, great staff
Our room was lovely and large, a corner room, all brand new contemporary design with hood furniture. Booked upgraded de luxe room, but bed was advertised as king size. It was very small and mattress very hard an uncomfortable, could feel the springs. Room could easily get a super king size in it. If we stay again will ask for biggest bed they have or go for twins
Lovely location, interesting building, very friendly and attentive staff.Bit disappointed that hot chocolate was not available at breakfast!
Good hotel with friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and an extremely comfortable bed.
Staff team were excellent, professional friendly, and welcoming.
Rooms were modern, comfortable and very clean.Breakfast was excellent.
Location was great, staff were friendly enough.
The lack of knowledge from some of the staff especially with breakfast.Took 50mins for brekky to arrive, sold of of croissants ,forgot we ordered a coffee twice… just needs a bit of looking into. Apart from that, all good.
Very cosy and warm atmosphere! The rooms were so clean and well done! The pub was just as cosy and inviting! High recommend!
Nothing!
