    Pros +

    • Beautiful hotel in lovely setting on the banks of the Thames. Staff were very friendly and professional. The whole place was spotlessly clean and we loved the extra touches like the water bottles and the umbrellas (it was typically raining for most of our stay!)
    • It was in a great location and was clean
    • Staff at breakfast were friendly.

    Cons -

    • Nothing - everything was amazing.
    • It looked a bit dated
    • We arrrived on a Friday evening. After we checked in they casually told us the restaurant was closed. Very annoying - they could really have sent a message/email in advance. There is nothing directly around the hotel in terms of restaurants, so means a drive and of course no nice bottle of wine with dinner. I've never stayed at a hotel that has not contacted me if there is an issue with the restaurant. Besides the lack of restuarant, the place was generally soulless - it is very much a conference venue. To be aware, the rooms are in modern blocks away from the main building. Conclusion, there certainly seem to be better options in the area at the same or lower price.

Buffet Breakfast was lovely and everything was fresh. Nespresso coffee in your room. Showers are big, and clean. Location is amazing with lovely gardens and views to the river.

The room was modern and clean, the main building was old, well maintained and quite grand. The whole place was in a lovely setting and quiet.

Maybe a 10:00 am checkout would be better.

    The main house

The dorm like rooms too ‘business stay’ feel

    5NicolaPosted on: 10-27-2025

The room and areas were clean. The river setting was pleasant.

It is a large property and it was empty. There were no other guests. The staff were attentive but there was absolutely no atmosphere.

    Nice location by the Thames

Little remote in terms of shops around. If you don’t have a car it’s a problem.

Myself and my husband thought the breakfast was fabulous . The standard of the food , the choices and the wonderful staff , all exceeded our expectations . Have highly recommended you to family and friends.

Checking in to the property very easy. The staff were incredibly helpful and guided us to all aspects of the hotel. The rooms were very nice and only a 1-2minute walk to all hotel facilities. We paid for food and drinks in the evening which was very nice and fairly priced, we had breakfast included which was ‘buffet’ style with the staff more than ready to help. The hotel has its own car park for guests, the staff will ask for your number plate at check in so you’re able to park.

We did miss the turn for the hotel the first time we passed as it shares its location with the Henley Business School. So if you’re planning on booking that is all you need to be aware of as everything else was great.

Absolutely amazing hotel, the rooms, the food and whole ambience. Best of all, is the position by the River Thames and a great walk into to town. We will definitely be back.

Great room in a business type hotel in a fantastic location. Excellent breakfast, comfy bed, large modern room, very clean and basically all spot on for an incredibly good rate.

Lacked a bit of atmosphere but it wa# the weekend and obviously it’s geared up for weekday stays for the conference, training course setup.

    Fantastic grounds, very clean, very...

Mattress in the room could have been more comfortableAlthough a B&B, a small fridge would have been quite useful

Peace and quiet and breakfast by the bay window watching the rowers on the Thames.

    Nothing to dislike.

Far exceeded my expectations. The hotel is set in expansive, attractive and peaceful surrounding grounds, complete with grazing sheep. For my purposes (doing the Chiltern ultra challenge which started/finished just across the road) the hotel is ideally located!Although part of Henley Business School, I didn’t get the feeling of being on an educational/conference campus at all (though I was there over the weekend). My room was very comfortable, modern and well furnished/equipped. Although the rooms are in separate blocks a short walk away (maybe 50 - 100 metres) from the reception/bar/dining areas, this didn’t detract at all and umbrellas are provided in all entrances, for if needed. The accommodation blocks (mine was “Bourne”) also felt totally safe and secure.Staff were extremely welcoming and polite.Breakfast buffet was extensive and high quality.Would certainly stay again.

No complaints - enjoyed my stay.

Good location , I ordered a takeaway breakfast which was on time and tasty.

We had booked in for the evening meal in the main restaurant, this was a buffet , the chicken was dry and the food was uninspiring and expensive for what it was. Ordering a bottle of wine was an ordeal as we were ignored.

The wonderful premises, like a small palace!

The room numbering in Berry Court is damaged and insufficient. There were no bedrooms over the 860s displayed. We went up and down in the lift with our cases wondering where on earth our room was until we saw a member of staff who showed us. Clearly the numbering wall plates are damaged/missing and urgently need replacing (which she appeared to know about!).
