Convenient location. Basic but fine. Great pub just down the road.

I couldn’t get into it as it was closed for the night, in spite of me telling the what time I would arrive.

It was very difficult to find in the dark with only a very small light that I drove past 3 times.

The price. Although not included in that price, the availability of breakfast

Not having a basin in the room. I was aware that the room was not en suite when booking, so I don't see that as an issue

1st room I was given the TV was hanging off the wall and had a strange smell, was given a different room with out any problems, for the price you get what you pay for

Pull up to the property to finds RATS the size of cats running around outside so I didnt even make it to the room , I asked for a refund straight away but they lied to me saying they haven't had the email of booking.com , and cancelled the refund RATS ,RATS ,RATS ,RATS !!! They were trying to tell me they weren't in the buildings or cafe .... in my opinion, RATS gets in anywhere

Use of the cafe

Small rooms .noise from other rooms .no TV remote.shared bathroom filthy.you have a shower while you are in full view of people using the toilet

It's a truckstop, so don't expect conventional hotel.

There were trucks and truck drivers around. Some guests got out and tried to help us but they were workers who stayed there hired the rooms. They said there are only men. It did not look safe and we got out immediately. The person whose number on the wall was very rude when we said we did not feel safe there are no female around. He answered "do you want them to sit outside?" This was our worst experience with booking.com I wanted refund but still no answer

There was some baby of a man moaning and whinging at the cafe staff in the morning, but that's not the fault of the exceptional staff of Chris' Motel

Dirty place would not let my dog stay there

Absolutely tiny dirty and run down, the toilet facilities where filthy rooms definitely bit cleaned considering it was the size of 2 small single beds it should have at least been clean …didn’t stay directed second night

We dont expaect perfection, but...

Couldn't get hold of owner on number provided.Bed was in poor state-sagging badly.Sound travelled through the building-could hear the kettle in my room boiling from along the hallway.

Well, to be greeted by such a pleasant aroma was truly delightful. The spacious rooms had everything we desired, huge TV, comfortable king size bed and a mini bar. Amazing how quiet it was through the night, allowing us to get the perfect amount of sleep!

It was just a shame we couldn’t stay for longer!

The towel I got had shit skids on it’s a good job I brought my own! N the rats running about out the front where the size of jack russels!!! Scruffy place proper slum stay away!!

Comfortable and cosy

I drove through Stokenchurch but didn't find Chris's Motel it was in the next village on the A40.

The area view around the hotel, was pleasent, despite not having a tradictional reception but could speak with some over the phone, whom was very courteous and professional, knew what he was doing and seem very organised.

Despite non smoking advertisement i could smell a strong smell of ilicite substances, the bed wasn't confortable looks like broken making load of noise, it was a miniscule room.

The amount of rats in the car park, the shower room an shower wasn’t much good

Ideal for work please don’t be under the illusion you’re staying at the Ritz. This is somewhere to get your head down and get back to work the next day refreshed tea and coffee facilities and TV in the room are excellent staff are very helpful. Excellent menu in the café.

Only Gripe is that the café didn’t open till eight so I couldn’t get breakfast before work

Convenient for where I was working and cost-effective rooms had everything I needed staff were helpful
