Hotel Villa Barbarich

Although the location of this hotel is little far to Venice but it is OK since there are all kinds of transportation to take you there. We even took the local bus to Venice less than 45 minutes. One thing we like most is its old Italian house style.

Although I tried to pick so but I am afraid I didn't need to.

This place was over the top!...I was very impressed with the villa the staff and the location!...I am definately coming back here! Romantic, charming, top notch!

All was great!

I thought the staff was great and the detail to pack me a breakfast bag was very kind. My meal at the restaurant was tasty.

The room: I stayed in room 501. It has very very old carpet (from the 80s old). The carpet has various stains and it was gross. The walls were so thin I could hear my neighbors whisper. I had to sleep with tv on to cancel some of the noise. The rooms in the picture have hardwood floors, not my room.

The staff, Peter, and shuttle driver, Enrico, (Henry), were wonderful. Breakfast was also wonderful.

Carpet in room needs a good cleaning or replacement.

Restaurant and staff were wonderful

The room assigned was very hot. We asked the manager abut AC he stated it a off for season. He said he would check the room while we were at dinner. The manager prepared a second room while we were at dinner. He offered the second room to us after dinner stating that the bathroom heater was broken. He had opened the windows in our second room to cool it down while we were at dinner. Upon going back to the second room we found bugs on the ceiling and removed them. We closed the windows, they had no screens and we kept finding more bugs, like stink bugs. We must have killed a dozen or so, We decided to leave. I cant sleep in a place that has any kind of insects. The manager tried to accommodate us but we were freaked out.

The fact that we could park free there, and that there was a free shuttle into Venice several times per day made it an excellent place for someone who drives to Venice. The staff is very helpful and accommodating.

Great place to stay at! Our room included a small garden that we really liked, especially since you could walk out into the big garden / pool area through a small green "labirinth". We loved the breakfast, restaurant, room, everything was great. Staff was INCREDIBLY polite and helpful at anytime of day / night. Train station is a short 20 minute walk away from the hotel, and from there only 15 minutes to Venice.

Nothing not to like.

Good location as it is close to the airport.

We got very late at night and could not turn off one of the lights in the room.

Very nice refurbished old villa with friendly and helpful staff. Outside of Venice but free shuttle from hotel in morning with return in the afternoon. Nice property to enjoy a cocktail outside.

Lovely pool and pool area! Peter at the front desk was exceptional…helpful, friendly and caring!!! Breakfast was excellent….lots of selection and food was very good. The Servers at breakfast were exceptional as well!

Dinner and wine were poor value. Minimal selection of dinner items and portions were small! Some staff were somewhat disengaged. The property was quite remote and it was expensive to take a taxi and the hotel shuttle had limited hours.

The first floor frescoes are amazing. You do not need to stay just to see them.Breakfast was just OK.Room was nice with most trimmings.A two stars rated four stars.

The maintenance is poor. The TV did not work. The king size bed had two mattresses that opened in the middle and effectively ruin the sleep.Breakfast was missing prosciutto. The scrambled eggs were placed at 6.40 am and were cold by 7 am. They charge you extra if you ask for fried eggs. Orange juice is chemical, not natural. They take 10 or more minutes to make and serve any coffee and it is always luke warm.You can't take the elevator to your floor because it stops in the middle and you need to shlep your luggage up-down stairs with no help. The hotel is a two stars service.

Clean, comfortable accommodations and beautiful, peaceful property. Food was excellent at the restaurant and breakfast.

The villa itself was charming, peaceful, quiet, great pool to cool off on a hot day, shopping very close by and free shuttle into Venice itself was a nice bonus.

Beautiful old villa with a country feel. Nicely updated and wonderful pool.

The art in the building is incredible and the grounds are nice, rooms are clean. The woman running the restaurant was very sweet and helpful but the rest of the staff weren’t great. She mentioned they were new so maybe some teething problems.

I had a bad check-in experience with the staff who were rude and unhelpful. The hotel has a nice courtyard with tables but you can’t eat dinner out there, which is a shame. The restaurant was drab and awkward. Not much atmosphere.

Picturesque

From the initial booking I requested a room that had two queen sized beds because there would be a roommate. What I received was two single beds the size of what kids sleep in separated in a room that was extremely cramped for two adults. Unfortunately, There was no sense of urgency to rectify this.

We had a booking for two nights and we decided it was best to leave before our second night and bookin closer to Venice
