    Pros +

    • Short walking cross the street to the metro station Lots of restaurants nearby
    • Close to the train station
    • Location is good - near the train/bus station, easy to find. Friendly reception. Reasonable pricing, very quiet.

    Cons -

    • There was no blanket of any sort on the bed, only a bed sheet. When asked for the blanket, I was told it's in the closet, which was an old, worn-out, thick, heavy fleece blanket, and fringes on the edges were missing or worn off (literally a trashy blanket). The room is extremely small, and there is no stepping room on one side of the bed.The bathroom is small, and the door is hard to open and close. The toilet is so close to the sink that the face could almost hit the sink when sitting and getting up from the toilet.Unpleasant smell in the room and throughout the hotel.Uncomfortable bed.Breakfast is not good. One night, the alarm sounded, but no service or announcement of any sort, nor was there an apology made for the malfunction that set off the alarm. For $224 per night, a total cost of $438 for two nights, I'd expect much more...
    • Could not pull curtains back to let light in. Had a room with a balcony but no chairs and table.
    • Old decoration and bad wifi connection. No view from window.

Staff were great - nice hotel close to the train station- breakfast was decent - room was a little smaller than we expected but the bed was comfortable - it was a good deal and a good spot to crash proximo to Venice and airport

Door lock was a little flimsy otherwise no complaints

The property is nice and clean and close to the metro, it is just a few steps from station. The staff there are really nice, friendly and helpful.

Could find what i dislike about the hotel.

Brilliant location right opposite the train station and easy to get into and out of Venice.Very friendly and helpful people. I would recommend highly

the staff were good, the parking at the hotel was comfortable, the room was clean. The bed looked strange but the mattress was comfortable.

the hotel is near the train station with all consequences, many strange people around, not really safe. The breakfast was extremely modest but the price for the stay was low, so it's ok.

I like the location of the hotel because it's across the street from the tarin station. That's really about it. The staff was nice. But not enough to justify the cost.

The price of the room is way too high for what the room is. It's very primitive and lacks warmth, giving a sense of discomfort. There is no carpet or rugs on the tiled floor. No amenities and the bedding and pillows were not comfortable.

Not as I expected. The photos do not represent the rooms we were given. Very dated, in need of refurbishing

    5JohnPosted on: 10-22-2024

Very close to the train station

    Outdated furnishings. Old facility.

Breakfast was good and location fine

The room was freezing cold so cold slept with clothes on a lot of stuff was broken including the door the cost was outrageous

    Coffee

Very small room for the price we paid. Needs renovations. Shutters on windows were closed so you could not see outside. Bathroom toilet seat was broken.I was disappointed that the pictures you see when booking are not what you get.I now know why you are always asking about upgrading. Can’t believe the prices for what you are getting. Thank goodness it was a short stay. Nothing around there. It was still more than 20 min from airport.

    8AndrewPosted on: 9-21-2024

OK, for a short trip. Right next to the station. It was an easy connection to venice. Good breakfast. Comfortable.

Rooms could do with a bit of a refurbishment but wasn't an issue for me.

    2MarkPosted on: 9-11-2024

check in staff very polite and nice

    - the room had no bearing on any of the photos online- the creaky wooden floor above the room- the air-conditioning until missing all the buttons and all controls worn off the smashed keypad- the apparent non resident sitting in the lobby getting pizza delivered from across the street- the terrible booking.com customer service refusing to assist the situation

    Easy access with car

Very bad smell in the hotel. Very bad maintenance of almost everything in the room (leaking shower, no mirror light, toilet paper is sitting on the towel holder, etc…). Towels were dirty, we didn’t use them. They asked for cash at the reception and we didn’t get any receipt.

Do not stay here, they will not look after you.

Upon returning to our room we noticed the cleaner had cleaned the room and bathroom and managed to throw out a valuable retainer for my teeth, we had to go through the whole hotels rubbish and still could not find it. We had a plastic ziplock bag that contained our tooth brushes and my retainer inside, which was not even in the bin. Which should not have been touched by the cleaner. They also threw out socks on the floor, which we didn’t even know they did until we looked through the garbage. The hotel has done nothing to compensate this or even attempted to rectify the damages. A new retainer costs $3-400. They are not cheap. The manager even blocked me on WhatsApp and did not even bother to reply to my concerns. A retainer for teeth is very important - if anyone has one, they know. This was the very first day of our 1 month trip in Europe and this is the start. DO NOT STAY HERE. The room is also microscopically small, the shower is embarrassingly small and does not drain. There is little to no room to even walk around and open your luggage. The hotel is next to Mestre train station which is not a safe area, lots of unpleasant people lurking around. Do not bring children to this hotel or area.

Near the station was good but the neighbourhood is not safe. Security lights shine through the window all night. Staff were friendly.

Neughberhood and the maintenance of the property. Shower did not stay in place. Back door handle falling off. Also you cannot control the aircon from the room and have to ask reception to adjust it. It then resets every hour.

I just wanted something simple, affordable, and conveniently located to Venice Mestre station and the ATVO station for the airport bus. Hotel Trieste met those expectations. Nothing fancy, but helpful staff and everything needed in a basic room. Only issue was wifi quality inconsistency in the room, but it was fine in the common area.

Sabbir and his team were wonderful. Our 3 night stay was an unexpected one as our flight home from Venice was cancelled but they looked after us and made us feel very welcome. The triple room was spacious and the beds very comfy. The buffet breakfast had a good choice and as always fresh. An excellent value for money property in a very good location.
