Hotel Villa Sara with pool and parking near Venice

Staff speaks excellent English, explaining transit well; her parents are not bilingual. There are 971 fitbit steps to the bus stop. The ride to Venice takes 30 mins each way; locals helped us get off at the correct stop on our return.

The pool & restaurant were closed, front door was locked at 6PM! Anybody weighing over 165 lbs would have trouble getting in the shower. AC wasn't working, no screen on windows, mosquitos arrived! Creaking bed above & owner's barking dog at 2AM.

The owners were friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean. We enjoyed our stay.

It is a good location. Just 10 minutes away from airport.

I must say that I initially chose this hotel for three reasons: its proximity to the airport, the shuttle service, and the included breakfast.However, I must also say that, contrary to what the description implies, the shuttle service is not included. You have to pay 40 euros to get to the hotel if you take a taxi from the airport, or you can ask the hotel to send a car, which costs 25 euros for a one-way trip.Regarding breakfast, I was told upon arrival that it was served from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. However, the next day I went for breakfast at 7:50 a.m. because I had to leave early for the airport, but there was no one there, not even at the reception desk. I called the person who had checked me in the day before (who was on their day off), and he told me that the other staff member was stuck in traffic and she would arrive in 5 minutes. When I explained to this person that I had to leave early, his response was, "You'd better just leave and skip breakfast; it's more important to get to the airport." In the end, I waited about 20-25 minutes only to be given a glass of juice and some bread wrapped in a napkin for breakfast. I also waited all that time because I had to check out and there was no one at reception.In short, I found the customer service terrible. There was a complete lack of responsibility regarding the breakfast service and poor organization on the part of the hotel staff.

The man at front desk really need to get 10 stars - hes so good and kind ! Very close to airport and big private parking

The room is very tired , bathroom so small that i cant almost turn around .

The breakfast was outstanding, many lovely choices. the grounds are very nice and our room was fine.

If we had been there at a different time of year, the pool would have been lovely.

Not far from town and could tell the property was very popular years ago.

Pool was dirty, blanket in bedroom was stained. Only provided a sheet to sleep with.

The check-in experience was disappointing, as the staff member was unfriendly and unhelpful. Breakfast was extremely basic, and the dining area was poorly maintained, with dirty plates and cutlery and unclean tables. The room itself was far from satisfactory, with cleanliness issues throughout—ants were scattered across the floor, making for an unpleasant stay.

The only good thing about the property was the friendly receptionist. She was amazing!

Very dirty and old. You can see that very little investment goes into keeping it in a good shape. We went to eat breakfast only once during our stay and even the plates and cutlery were dirty.

The room smelled musty, the air conditioning didn't work well and it was very cold in winter.

Hotel staff are good and cooperative and accomodation is good

Heating is not appropriate and shower room and hot water in showers not good and showers are tiny

The location was good .bus route was in walking distance.

Shower was too small . There were spiders on the bed . Room got too hot .

The room was gorgeous and kept very clean, cleaned everyday, the view outside of the window was beautiful and the staff were amazing, very attentive and welcoming. We also had breakfast everyday and were very satisfied with the quality.I do not usually write reviews however after seeing some negative reviews felt like I had to have my say, could not recommend this place enough.

My only complaint was the shower, a little cramped and the shower head could due with being replaced.

The location is very quiet and an easy walk to busstop and bus ride to Venice center

Lack of toiletries and important, no toilet paper, you had to beg at reception for such a vital and important need. Shower is a trap, 60-70cm squared that does not drain, so you are standing in nasty water from previous guest.Breakfast was ok.

The accommodation was nice, but small.

I would change the breakfast, maybe pay attention to freshness, I had the feeling that the ham was already spoiled. It would also be necessary to clean the area around the food from time to time.

Rovalue for moneyom was fine

We were cheated in the hotel restaurant.We chose a bottle of wine the waiter said was 15euro when we got the bill it was 50euro.The waiter then charged 2euro each as a chair tax. The bill should have been 53euro we were charged 93euro.Terrible scam by this hotel

The breakfast menu is very rich and varied. We were spoiled for choice. Totally loved it. The hotel is easy to locate and reach by the readily available public means and our hosts were very supportive with additional information and guidance.

The gates on the way out are especially nice.

Almost immediately after the booking was made, I began receiving countless messages from the hotel telling me to send my card details to ‘guarantee’ my stay, despite having already paid. Given I had the receipts to prove it I’d sent payment already, and being a rather internet savvy person, I ignored the spam and figured someone unsavoury had accessed their accounts.Sadly, these late night one-way texting sprees weren’t a one-time thing as more and more messages continued to drop into my inbox like lemmings off a cliff.Eventually they also came to the same conclusion about being hacked, and to their credit did send me a single message telling me not to send any details, though little good that would do to those who already may have given the time difference. Still, this did little to prevent the following shipments of spam flooding my inbox like Morrisons prepping for a tinned goods sale.Upon arrival, we were told by the receptionist that the rooms were ready but we hadn’t paid and they needed an additional €100. Disputing their claim, we told them we’d paid fully and asked them to check again, only to be Uno reversed and informed we needed to they needed more. Flourishing the app then turned me into a bonafide magician, as the receptionist then scrolled down to find the missing payment confirmation, like a well executed card trick (just not the type of card I think he wanted to see).The rooms themselves were a reasonably good size let down by being swelteringly hot with no air conditioning/fan, beds like stale bread and one of the rooms having wall sockets that were either coming away from the wall or out of it entirely. Fortunately this room had no kettle, having either been stolen or conscientiously removed to prevent us from electrocuting ourselves. I dare say fixing the plugs might have been a better place to start, but at least this way there were still plenty of teabags to suck on.

- AC is not working - dirt and mold on the walls- extremely old furniture - bed sheets are with holes and in bad condition - safety box was inoperative - bugs everywhere - the water at the sink has no pressure We asked for twin beds and we received matrimonial one - pictures that they are showing on here don’t match at all the reality of this hotel

The first impressions were disappointing, my family was accommodated in a large room under the roof and it is terribleAt my request, we were accommodated in a smaller room for two, which somehow saved the situationBreakfast was a little disappointing, but we managed to choose somethingSpecial respect to the guys at the reception, they are wonderful!!!
