Loved the location and architecture! Gorgeous space, wonderful included breakfast. Good wifi. Friendly staff.

Great location, comfortable and well appointed rooms, amazing lounge with a view, and wonderful staff. Large and delicious breakfast spread; coffee, tea and cookies available at any time. Will come back.

The location was ideal, the room small but comfortable, and the breakfast was top notch. Would definitely return!

The lighting in the room was a bit lacking, and it was difficult to see enough to use a hair dryer. The dryer could not be plugged in in the bathroom.

Room was very large, well laid out, beds extremely comfortable.

The early 20th century building was GORGEOUS! The architecture, circular marble staircase with red carpet, stunning wood floor patterns, sitting room with balcony overlooking the water for all to use, period lighting fixtures, beautiful stained glass windows in the breakfast rooms- just sooo special!!! In addition: Wonderful staff, breakfast and location - close to everything!!! There are only 29 rooms, I believe, and they’re all on the first floor. No elevator but the SUPER friendly staff was happy to help with the suitcases.

We have local friends who came to visit us at the hotel. We were having a beer in the lounge area and the young man at the front desk said they couldn’t have one because they weren’t staying there.

No elevator for those in need. Spiral staircase requires new carpet.

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They organised early checking for us, always greeted nicely and had time for a short chat. Breakfast was good and had some specialities eg. house granola. Small hotel with a family atmosphere.

Hotel is in old charming building with perfect view of the small harbour. Staff was super kind, everything perfectly clean. Breakfast just amazing. We loved eco friendly approach, through our 3 nights stay we didn't have to use any piece of plastic.

A beautiful historic building in a lovely neighborhood, within walking distance to many parks, museums, and Gamla Stan. We loved that our rooms had balconies and that the common areas were so inviting. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. Ferry and tram service were close. Friendly staff helped out when we needed advice and offered to store our luggage for a late departure. I hope to stay here again!

This hotel lacks an elevator — while that did not bother us at all, be aware in case it is an issue.

Hotel Esplanade is a homey, cozy hotel with a beautiful view of the harbor. We have stayed there before so we know what to expect and that's why we chose it. The breakfast is also the best part of the stay, Scandinavian delicacies and strong coffee. And all day tea/coffee available in the lobby. Bonus: a sauna is also available with robes, slippers and towels.

Very confortable, quiet and clean. Lounge areas are delightful! Breakfast is generosi and delicious.

We arrived earlier, so our room was not ready yet. However, the upgraded room was offered at a reasonable price. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The building is exceptional: old and nice. We got the information about the history of the building. Breakfast was very good. We appreciate the possibility of having coffee or tea all day. Also, there is a possibility to buy wine at the reception. The location is perfect - on the river, near the bridge. If you like to walk, so you can easily reach the main Station - it takes about 15-20 minutes.

Bathroom had a bit of mildew, and the room didn't vent well
